"The hotel is in a great location, short walk to train station. Room is dated but still clean and comfortable. Noted that they have started doing renovation on certain floors The room facilities & toiletries are good, especially the powerful Laifen hairdryer😍 which is lacking in other hotels. Free minibar too!😍 Front desk staff are warm & helpful. Special thanks to Tan Liang who helped to us with Didi Taxi booking and asked the doorman to tell the driver to drop us at the specific entrance at the Railway Station."

"Awesome location and extraordinary services!! Especially when we need to change the room from our first booking to second booking (with different family members so we have 3 different bookings), REN JUN DANIEL provided extraordinary services!! This hotel is the first Hilton (changed to Grand Metro now) in Nanjing, 10 minute from Zhong Shan Landmarks, close to every where. Although not brand new, but the services and location make up every thing. Buffet breakfast has all kinds of different style gourmet, and changing every day. Beautiful view from the window!"

"Hotel is a little old. Receptionists is helpful. However, they are not well versed in English. So for non Mandarin speaking guests, it will be somewhat challenging to communicate with them. Hotel breakfast is so so. Nonetheless, the hotel location is very good with lots of eateries and restaurants around. Overall, the stay is ok."

"I stayed at Wanda Realm Hotel this time, and I loved it! The lobby is so bright and spacious, and it looks high-end and refreshing. The room is also clean and tidy, and the bedding is very comfortable. Once I lie down, I feel relaxed and all the fatigue of the day has disappeared. The front desk service is even better, the attitude is super good, and the speed of checking in is done in a flash. They also recommended me many fun places around, and it feels like having a private tour guide. The breakfast is also super rich, with both Chinese and Western styles. Even a picky eater like me can find what I like. The location of the hotel is also very good, with Metro Exit 5 right outside the door, so it is convenient to go anywhere. Going to Nanjing South Railway Station or the airport, there is no need to worry about transportation problems. Next time I will definitely come here again, and I won’t consider other places!"

"We had a wonderful time at Shangri-la. The room had a great view of the Xuan Wu lake. It has a walk-in closet and a huge bathroom. The king size bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is offered on the 2nd and 40th floors. Both sides offered a good selection of western and local cuisine. The afternoon tea offered a wide selection of food and drinks as well. There is a well-equiped gym, indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. They also offered jogging guide around the Xuan Wu lake. Service is excellent. Staff is thoughtful and always looking out for our needs. They provided more of my favorite drinks in the mini bar without us asking for it. We had a wonderful experience there. The hotel is next to the metro line 1 and really accessible to several places of interest like Nanjing Museum, Xuan Wu lake, Xinjiekou shopping district, Qinhuai River, Confucius Temple, Laomendong, Presidential Palace Museum and Dabaoen temple museum. We had a wonderful experience there and we will definitely return if we are in Nanjing."

"I asked the hotel to get a non-smoking room. The hotel staff was so friendly and helped me with my wish. A big plus point is that the hotel staff can speak english very well. I can only recommend to stay here at Tiafeng Hotel, especially as a foreigner. The location is great. Breakfast was amazing and the room clean and with a good smell! Thank you for the amazing time in Tianfeng Hotel and Nanjing"

"I’ll start with the things that annoyed me about this hotel. The list is long… 1. How the hell are the rooms so expensive when the curtains are not automatically? You can’t move the curtains from the bedside. You have to get up and go move it all the way. 2. The Ac is so noisy and the only way you can turn it off is leave your bed and go right there 3. Only two switches next to the bed for the lights. All other switches by the door. In fact, it’s not a smart room though what I paid for showed they have everything. Paid almost 700 a night. 4. There’s no menu in the room and I called for menu and they said they’ll send someone but had to call back 30-45mins later and they sent someone with some kinda snack that I didn’t even ask for. Finally menu came an hour later after a series of calls. The only thing I liked was the bathroom and the views if am being honest. I paid for the highest floor but got put in the 38floor telling me the higher floors were out meanwhile I paid for it. One more thing, there’s bathtub but no bath soap nor salt. Like how you expect me to take a bath ???? Nahhh!!! They’ve got to put their game up!"

"This is the first time I've had an absolutely 10/10 experience with any hotel. This particular hotel also outranks every other Marriott I've ever stayed at. I genuinely could not think of a single negative point. I was only in Nanjing for 2 nights, in town for a meeting, and I'm so glad I chose to stay here. Firstly, the room is exactly as advertised. Marriott hotels always have the fluffiest pillows, but this particular hotel had the most HEAVENLY pillows. The bed was so comfy that I ended up postponing my day plans just so I could sleep in! I didn't realise how desperately I needed that rest and recuperation, and am glad I chose to stay here and get what I needed. Also, this hotel does not skimp on the water - most hotels will only give you 2 tiny bottles a day, which if it's blazing hot outside, can be frustrating, especially if you want to boil water for tea/coffee in the morning. This hotel provides 4-5 complimentary bottles of water per day. In many ways, I felt like they anticipated what I'd need and would provide it before I even had the chance to ask. There is also an ironing board stowed in the room, which for me was a lifesaver as I had an important meeting. As other reviewers have mentioned, the location is indeed fantastic. I was so relieved to find that after a long train journey, I only needed to hop on the subway for 1 stop - I didn't even need to exit the building, as the hotel is located inside the mall connected to the subway station. The breakfast spread is not too bad either, with the highlight for me being the espresso machines. When I tell you this machine delivers the most divine coffee in 10 seconds, I am not kidding. It was one of my favourite things and a great way to kickstart a busy day. At check-in, the reception staff ensured they gave me all the info I needed. I noticed this is often skipped at other hotels as staff are shy or reluctant to speak in English, which results in foreign guests missing out on relevant info or complimentary perks - but the Marriott team refused to let language be an obstacle. I was glad to learn free snacks and coffee were available in the executive lounge each evening. While I was there, the executive lounge manager - I think her name is Sheila, apologies if I've gotten this wrong - took the time to introduce herself and ask if I needed anything. She was so polite and genuinely seemed to want to improve the experience for guests. To me, these small touches are what set a service-oriented luxury hotel apart from others. On my first night, I'd arrived pretty exhausted after having sat on a delayed train for hours, and I wanted to order takeaway as I didn't have the energy to go out. They have Meituan lockers positioned right at the hotel entrance, which you can unlock with your phone and collect your deliveries. Being a foreigner who doesn't understand Chinese very well, I wasn't sure how to navigate this, but the reception staff went out of their way to help me, ensuring they stayed with me until I'd collected my parcel - it was not at all necessary for them to help me so much, but they did, and I'm very grateful for that :) I spent the entire month traveling in China and so, looking back, am able to compare all of the hotels and experiences from this trip. This particular hotel ranks 10/10 for me not only because of the location, but also because of the kindness and professionalism of staff. Things can sometimes be confusing or overwhelming for foreigners, and this was the only hotel where staff didn't hesitate to rush in and offer to help, no matter how small the issue. Even the gentleman at the coffee bar in the lobby was so kind and polite - and might I add, everyone at this hotel speaks English, so they really do cater to an international crowd. Housekeeping staff too were very sweet, always greeting you and asking if you needed extra bottles of water. Thank you for a relaxing, delightful stay! I hope to come again and stay longer next time."

"A 9.5 out of 10 hotel. Very good indeed. Location is good, right next to the enchanting XuanWu Lake, with subway station just under the hotel. Connected to the hotel is a mall with nice restaurants. Service is beyond expectation, the concierge, the front desk, the housekeeping staff are all very well trained and professional, as well as helpful and friendly.  Breakfast spread is so good and tasty and we both gained weight during our 5 days four night stay. I will definitely and strongly recommend this hotel to all my friends visiting Nanjing. "

"The hotel is in a very convenient location, with a subway entrance right outside. It was a wise choice after comparing many hotels. They upgraded our room type for free and gave us some fruit. The overall environment is clean and tidy. Outside the window is the street view of Confucius Temple (not noisy at all when sleeping at night). When I return to the hotel on the first floor, there is a warm tea break prepared, which makes me feel like home every time. The two robots deliver food in a timely manner. After a tiring day, I take a shower and there is a laundry room for washing and drying clothes. When I return home from the trip, my suitcase is full of clean clothes, which is very worry-free. I will definitely stay in this hotel again next time I come to Nanjing."
