"We stayed at the Asia Pacific Business Building of Jinling Hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel has a quiet and comfortable atmosphere, with modern décor and well-maintained facilities. The bell staff helped us with our luggage both upon arrival and departure, which was very convenient. Mr. Zeng at the front desk was professional and courteous, and he took good care of our children during check-in, which we appreciated. The buffet breakfast offered a good selection of Chinese and Western dishes. The local Nanjing specialties were varied and tasted authentic. The hotel’s central location and attentive service made our stay enjoyable, and we would consider staying here again in the future."

Shangri-La Nanjing boasts an exceptional location within walking distance of Xuanwu Lake and the Ming Dynasty City Wall. The hotel features 450 guest rooms and 21 service apartments. Its four distinctive dining venues include: Jiangnan Wok, Chinese Restaurant, An authentic Huaiyang restaurant masterminded by Master Hou Xinqing, serving innovative Huaiyang cuisine. It holds the distinction of being Two-Diamond Black Pearl Restaurant for eight consecutive years. Jiangnan Wok. Yun located on the 42nd floor, this elevated dining experience earned One Michelin Star in 2025 Jiangsu Michelin Guide. The Health Club and Chi Spa provide rejuvenating luxury experiences. Event spaces include a 2,100 sqm pillar-free grand ballroom with 9-meter ceilings and the Nanjing Junior Ballroom and multiple function rooms. All venues feature stylish facilities and premium services, catering to business and social events of any scale.

"Driven by the excellent food and service at the Horizon Club, I switched from Shangri-La Yangzhou to Shangri-La Nanjing, embarking on another culinary adventure. 1. **Location**: The Shangri-La Hotel Nanjing boasts an excellent location. It's just one subway stop from Nanjing Railway Station, and the hotel is right next to the subway exit, making it incredibly convenient for exploring other attractions by metro. 2. **Guest Room**: A huge thank you to Manager Xiao Jiang at the Horizon Club for arranging the only lake-view suite on the 41st floor and for granting me a late check-out until 3 PM. The room was spacious and bright, with a generously sized living room and bedroom, both featuring full floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views of Purple Mountain and Xuanwu Lake. However, as the hotel has been open for some time, the room design inevitably had a few drawbacks. Firstly, there was no separate walk-in closet in the suite; I had to go into the washroom to change. Secondly, the luggage counter was rather small and high, which would be inconvenient for guests with a lot of luggage. Thankfully, the housekeeping staff quickly brought a luggage rack, providing a proper spot for my suitcase. Most importantly, the toilet in the bathroom wasn't separated by a door; it was openly situated next to the vanity, which significantly compromised privacy and convenience. While not a smart toilet, the heated seat was a comfortable touch. 3. **Dining**: The Horizon Club's dining options certainly lived up to Shangri-La's standards, with breakfast, afternoon tea, and happy hour all being very lavish. However, perhaps due to the sheer number of guests, the management felt a bit disorganized. Not only did the kitchen's food quality seem to decline—some dishes were bland, making me wonder if salt was forgotten or if they weren't cooked evenly—but the service quality also appeared to struggle. During breakfast, I asked a Horizon Club staff member if they could get me some Laoganma chili sauce from the downstairs restaurant, but they replied they couldn't leave their post. I then asked a chef, who promised to bring it, but perhaps they were too busy or forgot, as it only arrived after I had finished my meal. It felt like Nanjing's approach was different from Yangzhou's; the upstairs and downstairs restaurants seemed strictly segregated, preventing staff from cross-fetching items. What confused me, though, was that the soup dumplings I ordered and the pan-fried dumplings I picked up were clearly from the downstairs restaurant, as they arrived a bit cold. At Shangri-La Yangzhou's Horizon Club, staff would either ask the chefs or personally retrieve items upon request. Nevertheless, I must say, the à la carte duck blood vermicelli soup, seaweed wontons, beef noodles, and Eggs Benedict at the Horizon Club breakfast were quite good. The next day, when I had breakfast on the second floor, I discovered that, just as other reviews mentioned, the downstairs restaurant offered a much more extensive spread. There was a wide variety of Western breads and pastries, including large and fragrant caramelized egg tarts kept warm in a warmer, maintaining their fresh-from-the-oven quality. They also had trendy items like butter mochi, mochi yolk pastries, and kid-friendly treats like marshmallows, popcorn, and mini cupcakes—my eyes were truly overwhelmed by the choices. The Chinese section boasted delicious handmade soup dumplings, beef potstickers, siew mai, large pork buns, and duck blood vermicelli soup. Even the whole grain options like sweet potatoes and corn looked impressively large and generously prepared. However, when I asked the staff if I could order Eggs Benedict, they said they had never heard of it. Honestly, when evaluating a hotel's dining, I often prioritize whether they offer handmade food, especially at breakfast. I particularly dislike places that are filled entirely with reprocessed frozen foods; it just feels very insincere. Finally, I must also thank Sherry from the hotel's pastry shop for the delicious mini cakes and mung bean cakes delivered to our room. They were a wonderful surprise and a comforting treat after being out. 4. **Scenery**: Of course, a visit to Shangri-La Nanjing wouldn't be complete without checking out their rooftop helipad, but unfortunately, the weather wasn't good, so I missed out on the rumored stunning views. However, what I was very pleased with was the short walk—just a few minutes—from the hotel to Xuanwu Lake. It happened to be the lotus season, and strolling by the lake, I was greeted by the sight of 'lotus leaves stretching endlessly green to the sky, and lotus flowers under the sun glowing with a unique red.' As far as the eye could see, vast expanses of lotus leaves, like small umbrellas, swayed in the wind, creating gentle green ripples. Pink and white lotus blossoms bloomed in profusion, dotted amongst the green foliage, appearing exceptionally clear and elegant. Colorful pleasure boats crisscrossing the lake added a vibrant touch to Xuanwu Lake. In summary, I was generally satisfied with this stay. At check-out, I even received some delightful hotel-made palmiers, which was a lovely touch. I will definitely choose Shangri-La again on my next trip to Nanjing."

"As a long-established five-star hotel, the service is absolutely outstanding – warm, attentive, and professional. The location couldn't be more convenient! The subway station is right downstairs, and Xuanwu Lake Scenic Area is directly across the street. Gulou (Drum Tower) is also very close by, making it incredibly easy to get around to all the major attractions. The hotel's buffet breakfast consistently delivers excellent quality, truly living up to its five-star standard. The views from our floor were unparalleled, offering breathtaking panoramas of Xuanwu Lake and the Nanjing cityscape. The only minor quibble is that the main entrance is at the back of the building, which took a little searching for us first-timers, especially since the front desk is located on the 23rd floor. This made our initial check-in a bit confusing! Despite that, the overall experience was fantastic!"

GGuest UserI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations. We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby. We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed. Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel. This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance. We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again. Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed. When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet. Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

XXavierasyI booked a suite for 2 nights at the Courtyard by Marriott the night before I came from Xi'an because I wanted to visit Niushoushan, Jinling Xiaocheng, and other tourist spots nearby. The location of the Courtyard is actually not bad; it's right beside the Hedingqiao metro station, and many food booths and convenience stores are just downstairs. You can buy takeaway at any time. The reception staff is nice and helpful and can speak very good English, no doubt. The worst was the concierge. One of the concierge staff has been playing on his cellphone every single moment. I took Didi or the metro at least 4 or 5 times every day. Every time I pass through the entrance, he is playing on his phone. The most frustrating part was when I ordered takeaway through the app. The delivery man said he placed it on the concierge cart right next to that guy, but someone took my package, and he didn't notice. YEAH, How could he possibly know if he was preoccupied with his phone ?!

BBenbenxiaoniziFacilities: Complete, clean and tidy, the only drawback is that the air conditioning cannot be used as desired. Hygiene: The overall feeling of the indoor area is good, and the outdoor area is relatively primitive and needs to be improved. Environment: Highly recommended. I went to Kuanzhai Bar at night, and it felt like Nanjing Pattaya, very comfortable; I ran a circle of less than four kilometers in the park during the day, and it was an oxygen bar in nature, and I lingered; you can walk, ride, and play in the park, and there are many projects... Service: Active and friendly, thoughtful, very good!

GGuest UserOur trip to Nanjing left us with beautiful memories and a very positive impression. Largely attributable to the very pleasant stay at Swisstouches Hotel. We stayed in the suite from end May to early June. 1. Very clean and comfortable suite - About one of the most comfortable rooms I have had stayed in recent memory. Spacious, clean, well - kept, well - maintained. Reasonably priced. Whole place smelled good, no hint of musky odour, no tobacco smell, children had zero issue with allergy. Sound proofing was great. I do wish the kitchenette is better equipped with microwave oven, utensils and simple crockery. Not that we cook in the room, but I guess it is more convenient to have simple utensils available in the kitchenette. 2. Courteous, attentive and responsive service - Reception was courteous, patient and reliable. Restaurant staff were obliging and prompt (requests were attended to promptly, room cleaning staff were responsible and detailed. (I accidentally left the Do-Not-Disturb sign on, they left a note reminding me about that, and took the initiative to return in the evening to clean up the room - all without any request from me. I thought of just going letting the room cleaning pass for 1 day). Such conscientious work attitude is hard to come by. 3. Food was hygienic and ample - The buffet breakfast was amply stocked and spread was decent. Not an emperor's feast, but way enough to surpass expectations for most people. 4. Location was decent, safe - The hotel is situated in the outskirts of Nanjing city. So you get the tranquil, but you wont have the hustle and bustle. There are convenience stores and eateries well within a stone's throw. Ride hailing taxis are easily available too. But if you are expecting to walk to the tourist spots, you will have to stay in the heart of the city. I personally prefer a location like Swisstouches' . 5. Facilities - I only tried the swimming pool and gym. Very decent. Good enough for exercise and workouts during travel. Gym was well equipped, albeit a little messy. But that's more of gym users rather than the set-up. Swimming pool was well maintained and monitored at all times. Great for lane swimming. All in all, fantastic stay. Go back again? Big Yes.

CChenyuaneryi。For my trip to Nanjing, I specifically chose this Atour Hotel. I inquired about a room upgrade, and the front desk staff kindly upgraded me to a river view room. It was truly fantastic; I had a direct view of the Qinhuai River right from my room! Ever since checking in, I found myself constantly peeking out the window to people-watch, haha! The surrounding area is also incredibly convenient for sightseeing, with the Imperial Examination Museum, Jiangnan Gongyuan, and Nanjing Impressions (a famous local restaurant) all within about 200 meters. What a great spot! This stay was definitely worth every penny! The bedding was incredibly soft and skin-friendly; once I lay down, I didn't want to get up. For breakfast, I highly recommend trying the Duck Blood Vermicelli Soup, Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), and rice cakes... (And if you're in a rush, you can even grab items to go! I took a coffee with me, haha!)

SsteelbossI am from New York and am based in Suzhou, China. I stayed at this hotel during a busy holiday and was very concerned about Nanjing traffic. This hotel has an excellent location near the university city and many theme parks, such as Nanjing Happy Valley. The level of elegance of the rooms was comparable to the now-extinct 6-star rating. You would have to see it to believe it, including the electric toilets and beveled glass doors. However, I decided to post a comment because of the restaurant. I have been in China for 23 years and usually travel for business. Breakfast at most hotels is not good, and nothing like in Western hotels. Because of this, I drove to a fancy restaurant and wasted a ton of money on horrible food. The next day, upon checkout, I decided to eat at the in-hotel restaurant and was totally shocked to find two interconnected dining facilities, consisting of a hot pot buffet on one side and an À la carte buffet on the other. I chose the À la carte because my son saw the grilled beef kabobs and had to have it. Here is the best part: When you enter the buffet, you get a small card you pre-charge with money. I charged RMB 300, or about $41.66. You go through the buffet, take what you want, and swipe the card for each item. You only pay for what you eat. There had to be no less than 80 items on the buffet, from vegetable dishes, soups, pasta, beef (tenderloin), rib steak, short-rib steaks, fish, shrimp, traditional noodles, eggs, omelets, various bread, fruits, and many traditional Chinese dishes. There were four of us, and we were stuffed. Ultimately, I returned the charge card and was refunded RMB 35. This means I spent RMB 265 for four people or RMB 66.25 ($9.20) per person for a spectacular buffet. This was hands-down the best hotel experience I've had in China, for room, and dining. I really did not like one thing. A workstation outside deals with tiles, marble, masonry, and maintenance. It does not look good, and that was my view. The laydown area uses part of the parking lot. The yard needs to be cleaned up, and the work site covered or contained in a shop. This is a major management gaff void of marketing awareness. I still rate the hotel a 5-star.

HHaoshuangWe came to Nanjing with our kids and parents for a Zhou Shen concert, and we had already booked this hotel back in March. My parents stayed in the inner room with two large beds, while my child and I slept on the bunk beds in the living room. The hotel suite was very clean, and the room even had a building block wall and a game table. There's a Luckin Coffee downstairs, and the Ning Xiaoxian restaurant on the 28th floor served delicious food. It was only a 10-minute taxi ride to Xinjiekou, and right across the street from the hotel was the bustling Pioneer Bookstore. On the first night, we went to the Olympic Sports Center for the concert, and on the second night, we watched the Nanjing vs. Wuxi game from Wutaishan Stadium right from our room! Haha, this arrangement was absolutely brilliant. Both my parents and the kids were incredibly happy!

MM896076****I was on a business trip to Nanjing, and my company's reimbursement wasn't very high. Upon arriving, I quickly searched for this hotel. Seeing it was newly renovated and reasonably priced, it seemed like a good fit. I booked and arrived at the hotel. Check-in was quick, the service was friendly and attentive, the room was clean, and nearby restaurants were convenient! It's a great place to stay for business trips, and the hotel room manager is incredibly helpful! I've recommended it to friends, and the value for money is excellent. I'll definitely stay here again on my next business trip.

PPatrickeblevinsMy wife and I are trying our best to have children but it has been very challenging. We needed a place close the hospital and decided to try Qingmu hotel because it was conveniently located and looked comfortable from the outside and had mostly positive reviews on trip.com. As a foreigner who speaks very little mandarin I was concerned about communication with the hotel staff. But I was pleasantly surprised with how efficiently they handled this problem. We were able to chat with help of WeChat and google translate. They also knew more English than I thought they would. Soon we were very friendly and found a productive way to communicate my needs and get the best room possible. They also helped with our travel bags and provided water and a snack. I felt very happy and comfortable with their services and they made this feel like a home more than a hotel stay. The room was very inviting and smelled freshly cleaned. The bed was very comfortable and my wife has had back pain but said that the bed was perfect for her. It was nice that they were able to store our medication in a temperature controlled fridge while we continued to work towards conception. We had a wonderful view of the city and the bathroom had essentials to aid in freshening up between sessions. The shower had hot water and a removable head and could fit two people. We had access to a microwave oven to warm our lunch and a laundry center to catch up on our travel clothing cleaning needs. The hotel is located close to the subway and is surrounded by many restaurants and other forms of entertainment. Staying here during the Chinese New Year you could feel the festivities all around you, with brightly colored decorations and music. The hotel was also pleasantly decorated with flowers in our rooms as well as in the lobby. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great stay, for an even better price, my wife and I will definitely return here. I attached some photos of my stay below.
