I recently had a delightful one-night stay at the Golden Eagle International Hotel in their deluxe Queen size bedroom. From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the elegance and comfort of the room. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. This hotel’s location is really good. It is located right next to a major shopping mall with lots of good restaurants and stores. It’s located within walking distance from Xuanwu Gate 玄武门 and Xuanwu Lake 玄武湖. It’s right next to a subway that provides easy access to other parts of Nanjing like the Nanjing Museum 南京博物院 or the Confucian Temple area 夫子庙.
The rooms were clean and everything in it felt high quality. The view of Nanjing from my room was beautiful.
Although the hotel staff are very friendly, I marked the service and amenities as 4/5 for a few reasons. First, laundry is relatively expensive whereas at Atour 亚朵 it’s free. If i remember correctly, they wanted me to pay 35 or so rmb per article of clothing. Secondly, the hotel allows delivery of takeout but they do not send it to your room like they do at Atour 亚朵. You have to go to the lobby and pick it up yourself. These are the only two things that stop me from giving all 5/5s. Other than that, I loved this hotel especially for its location and comfortable rooms.
If you dont care about doing laundry or having takeout ordered directly to your room, then those two criticisms are relatively minor things. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel regardless.

We had a great stay at Jinfan Wanyuan Hotel.
Room was really pleasant and cleaned well, the housekeeper did a really good job.
Just some notes, the gym and laundry room were located in an other section of the building having to walk quite far from the room. The area around the hotel was not super, just a bit dirty and old in comparison to the rest of the city.

Although it is a serviced apartment, it is indeed a lot more high-end with the Ascott brand. The location is very convenient. There is an exit leading to China World Trade Center at the Xinmofan Road subway station, and you can go directly to the hotel on the first floor. Because it was just delivered and put into use in 2024, the facilities are relatively new. The only drawback is that the bathroom is a little small. The hotel service staff is very enthusiastic. Because the family room we booked includes breakfast for two adults and one child, they took the initiative to upgrade the children's meal to an adult meal when they learned that our children were older. We wanted to extend the room for another day, and they helped us to extend it in time. Very satisfied, I will continue to consider this hotel next time I have the opportunity to come to Nanjing.

Cleanness is the issue here, first I got the room with full of hair on the floor and they gave my new room. But still hair on the floor but less than the first one.

We had the best experience at Man Xin Mansion in Nanjing. We got the corner balcony courtyard two room for us and our two boys and we just had the best experience since being in China. One of the most beautiful hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Service was also very attentive and anything we needed they accommodated. We’ll be staying here anytime we’re in Nanjing and will be looking for Man Xin locations everywhere we travel in China.

The hotel was very nice and clean, staff was helpful and we had a really good stay overall. As for the location it is very close to the south railway station of Nanjing so good to travel from but not the closest to visit the city. This is not a problem but it was very very hot during our stay which made the wall to the station quite an adventure. If you go in colder months then it will be for sure better.
The room is instead cool and the AC works great, would recommend

AAnonymous UserThe best hotel I’ve stayed in China so far! Located right beside Nanjing Railway Station and its metro station. Take Exit 11 from Nanjing Railway metro station and the hotel is right in front of it. Check in counter is located on level 2 of the building. The service by the front counter was good too! They served us with drinks while they were checking us in. We were at first given a room on level 2, but when we entered, there was a strong cigarette smell. We immediately informed the front counter, and they immediately changed our room to another room on level 3. They even help to bring our luggage up to the room. Room was big and comfortable for 3 of us. Price of this hotel was decent too. We were amazed by the clean room, and the kids playpen within the room! The playpen would be a plus point for families wtith kids but it was a great photo spot for us! The TV had screenshare functions but I had difficulties connecting my phone to the TV. Wifi connection was stable but as usual we could only use China approved apps through wifi. Opposite the hotel and on the first level of the hotel, there was a stretch of restaurants providing different types of food. There was also 2 mini marts along the stretch of restaurants. Laundry room was on level 3, beside the elevators. 2 washing machine and 2 dryers available, laundry detergent and softners are provided too. Steam iron is available in the laundry room. Laundry service was also provided, you can wash your laundry in the washing machine before heading out in the morning. Take the notepad provided by the side and leave your room number and type of washing service you need. the housekeepers will help to complete the washing and drying if needed. They also helped us to fold the clothes and left them in a laundry bag in the laundry room for us to collect when we go back at night. There was also the delivery robot there to deliver our delivered food. Overall would love return to this hotel again!

The overall stay experience is still very comfortable, simple and clean.
Before check-in, I was fortunate to have the administrative manager Shelia contact in advance to upgrade to an executive room. The experience of the executive floor is still good. There are executive light meals and executive lounges in the evening, which are plus points!
The room is very comfortable, the bed is just the right hardness, the room space is still relatively large (forgot to take a photo), and the breakfast service is also good.

GGuest UserI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations.
We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby.
We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed.
Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel.
This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance.
We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again.
Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed.
When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet.
Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

The hotel has a perfect location, being only 5min from the olympic stadium area and the Nanjing eye scenic area. The hotel staff are polite, friendly, and speak perfect english. The hotel rooms, whether city view or river view, are all sublime. Spacious room with spacious bathroom and complimentary drinks in the mini-fridge, the holiday feeling when you enter the room is immediate. The hotel has is home to a number of restaurants that offer a range of meals. Additionally, the hotel buffet is great (cost approx 350CNY) and includes a variety of meal options from seafood to steak to vegetarian options. I stay at this hotel once or twice per year and i thoroughly enjoy the stay each time.

GGuest UserBecause I have worked in five-star hotels, I chose Swisstouches to welcome my sister who came back to visit relatives.
The hotel's room area, facilities, toiletries and bedding can meet the five-star standard. When checking in, the front desk clerk reminded us to try the Swiss-style welcome fruit tea, which was so delicious that I wanted to buy some back.
We ordered a table meal in the Berlin Hall. The private room is designed in a grand and spacious style. The Chinese food tastes very good, the breakfast is rich, the simple meals are also good, the service is meticulous, and the dining experience is very good!
The swimming pool is kept at 26 degrees, which is a bit cold, so I didn't dare to go in the water. After the bathtub in the room was filled with water, some dust floated, which dispelled the idea of using it. This is a pity.
The overall quality of this stay has been unanimously praised by my family. Although we are locals, we said we would come to Swisstouches again!

SsteelbossI am from New York and am based in Suzhou, China. I stayed at this hotel during a busy holiday and was very concerned about Nanjing traffic. This hotel has an excellent location near the university city and many theme parks, such as Nanjing Happy Valley. The level of elegance of the rooms was comparable to the now-extinct 6-star rating. You would have to see it to believe it, including the electric toilets and beveled glass doors.
However, I decided to post a comment because of the restaurant. I have been in China for 23 years and usually travel for business. Breakfast at most hotels is not good, and nothing like in Western hotels. Because of this, I drove to a fancy restaurant and wasted a ton of money on horrible food. The next day, upon checkout, I decided to eat at the in-hotel restaurant and was totally shocked to find two interconnected dining facilities, consisting of a hot pot buffet on one side and an À la carte buffet on the other. I chose the À la carte because my son saw the grilled beef kabobs and had to have it.
Here is the best part: When you enter the buffet, you get a small card you pre-charge with money. I charged RMB 300, or about $41.66. You go through the buffet, take what you want, and swipe the card for each item. You only pay for what you eat. There had to be no less than 80 items on the buffet, from vegetable dishes, soups, pasta, beef (tenderloin), rib steak, short-rib steaks, fish, shrimp, traditional noodles, eggs, omelets, various bread, fruits, and many traditional Chinese dishes. There were four of us, and we were stuffed. Ultimately, I returned the charge card and was refunded RMB 35. This means I spent RMB 265 for four people or RMB 66.25 ($9.20) per person for a spectacular buffet.
This was hands-down the best hotel experience I've had in China, for room, and dining.
I really did not like one thing. A workstation outside deals with tiles, marble, masonry, and maintenance. It does not look good, and that was my view. The laydown area uses part of the parking lot. The yard needs to be cleaned up, and the work site covered or contained in a shop. This is a major management gaff void of marketing awareness. I still rate the hotel a 5-star.

The hotel provides a very peaceful and comfortable environment.
The room is comfortable and I enjoyed sipping a cup of hot tea while admiring the amazing view with the ventilation window opened to enjoy the cold air.
Toilet is fitted with Grohe accessories and the rain shower is so comfortable.

GGuest UserThis is my 3rd stayed at Novotel. Location is more than perfect. Metro and Maga shopping malls are just across the street. Foods are plenty within 500m. Room is clean and hygienic. Bed is comfortable. Price is reasonable.Will be back again.
Just to share, Previously used to use agoda and have been using for the past 15 years, averagely 5 booking yearly. But this time use Trip.com. Made a booking on 26Oct for 27Oct-4Nov to GZ, and realised made a mistake on the dates. Cancelled by mistake and realised there was a cancellation fees of 13%, amount 700CNY. Agoda claimed that the hotel refused the refund, but the money was collected by agoda instead. They lied repeatedly and pretended to assist to send email to the hotel management and kept pushing the blame to the hotel. I did another booking via trip.com and verified with the hotel. Integrity is an issue. No trust anymore. As such, start using Trip.com. In addition, trip.com give higher rewards.
