Overall, we had a pleasant experience. Except for check in. We arrived at the hotel at approximately 3:45pm, 15 minutes prior to check in.
As soon as I approached the front desk, the receptionist stated that check in was at 4:00pm and that I had to pay $30 if I wanted to check in early. So needless to say, we waited the 15 minutes in the lobby to check in 🙄
I have been to numerous hotels all over the world and I have NEVER been asked to pay for checking in a few minutes, or even hours earlier. This was the first time!

The staff was awesome but the room needs some maintenance , for example the carpet is pretty gross and the sink drained VERY slowly, even when we removed the stopper

do not use this motel. I booked a room and prepaid for it. The day I was supposed to show up they called me and said they had some kind of a pipe burst emergency and canceled my reservation. I’ve never gotten the money back.

The staff mentioned they were having renovations ongoing, but that did not really negatively impact our stay. We generally enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

My stay was fine. No problem with the room or conditions. My one complaint is that I finished work early on day one and was exhausted so I went to the hotel at 2:30pm to check in. They informed me that check in was not possible until 4:00. I asked if the room was ready , they said yes. My option was to pay an extra $20 for early check in. In the past 3 months I’ve stayed at hotels 7 times all over NY including Manhattan and Long Island. This is the only time I’ve had a problem with early check in, and the only time in my life I had to pay for the privilege. Ridiculous.

This was a great base for our explorations in Minnewaska State Park and the surrounding area. If you don't mind walking, you can get to some nice eateries without driving from the hotel. And the woman behind the front desk is amazingly friendly and helpful.

We arrived at 336pm to check in and were informed that check in was at 4pm and we would need to pay a $30 early check in fee… at this point it was 20 minutes to 4.
The managers attitude about it was so rude. When I looked at the hours realized that we were paying over $250 for 19 hours in a run down hotel. Our room reeks of cheap carpet cleaner.
Never again will we stay here.
