Unfortunately, the air conditioners weren't working, but I guess that can happen anywhere. Otherwise, the workers were very nice and the place was clean.

I repaid for a single king bedroom for my husband and I and received a room wirh 2 separated double beds and the hotel excused that they could not change it, even while checking in others. The place is grossly overrated for the almost $400 nightly with tiny standard rooms that are sooo small that you can hardly change your mind. The marriot brand that is attached to this hotel is misleading. My stay was a grand disappointment. Do not book here!!!! I WILL NOT RETURN HERE. IT IS NOT VALUE FOR MONEY...

Happy overally with the stay, but I would recomend using a card for the deposit that you can lock. At 1:00 am, THREE WEEKS after my stay, the hotel attempted to charge $50 on my credit card that I used for the room security. There was nothing that should have been charged, and the hotel advised that "it was just our system" - no explanation why the "system" was attempting to charge my card, and there were no incidental charges to the room. I'm glad the fraud guard on my credit card declined the transaction, since I may have missed the charge if I were not alerted to the possible fraud.

We wanted a hotel for a night close to the cruise terminal. The hotel was perfect for that and within a walking distance from the cruise terminal. Elevators are SLOW and it takes forever to catch one - Some people preferred to walk down than to try and wait.

The location was good because it was on a small road inside the main street, so it was less noisy. I stayed in a twin room, and the bed was big and very comfortable. The male staff member at the reception, Damien, was very friendly. The bathroom shower was a bit inconvenient because it was attached to the wall.

I checked in on the evening of the 14th. The man at the front desk gave me a small room with a bed of about 1.3 meters, and said that I could change the room the next day. I checked in without complaining. I went to change the room at around 11 o'clock on the 15th. The woman at the front desk asked me to pack my luggage and come to the front desk within 15 minutes (there was only one elevator running at that time). I did it. The woman said that the procedures would be done at 3 pm. If I was OK, I would go out for dinner. (I realized that I was careless afterwards. I was changing the room, not checking in and checking out again!) I went back to the hotel at 2:26 pm to ask for a room. The man at the front desk said that it would be ready at 3 o'clock, so I sat and waited in the lobby. I went to ask for a room at 3 o'clock. The man at the front desk said that there was no room and he needed to arrange it. I said I was waiting and called me when there was one. So I waited in the lobby; Thinking that something was wrong, and that my English was not very good, I called my family to help communicate and express my doubts. I asked the front desk man to call the lobby manager, but the front desk said wait, the manager would be busy in a while (in fact, there were four people at the front desk at that time, and one of them, who looked like an Indian in black clothes, was the lobby manager). I waited in the lobby for a while but no one came to communicate with me. This time I was really angry, so I went directly to the front desk to question the receptionist. At this time, the receptionist started to operate the computer to give me the room. Although I got the room, I still insisted that he call the manager out. At this time, the Indian-looking manager came out to talk to me! I looked at the time and it was 3:40 in the afternoon! I asked the hotel to compensate me for extending my stay, but the manager argued that the hotel never had a small bed room, only a large bed room and a standard room with two small beds, and did not mention how to compensate me for not having a room for nearly five hours. And he said that he only communicated with Ctrip as a third party. Finally, I asked a local lawyer friend to call the manager, and this guy gave a maximum compensation of 10% of the first night's room rate + two hours of extension (said there were no rooms later, I immediately checked online and there were rooms)! As for the few hours I didn't have a room, they didn't mention it, and they didn't say anything about finding a superior to coordinate. As a tourist traveling abroad, I am in a disadvantaged position, the language is not fluent, and I don't have more time to defend my rights. Strictly speaking, the incident happened in the hotel and has nothing to do with Ctrip, but several Ctrip customer service staff have been helping me communicate with the hotel and took the initiative to compensate me. Thank you very much for Ctrip's understanding and help! 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 This hotel is expensive, the elevator is extremely slow, and the front desk service is poor. From the front desk reception operation that asked me to check out to the professional quality of the manager in handling the hotel's faults, I have the worst experience. Their behavior is not only unprofessional, but also makes me feel discriminated against overseas. I hope my evaluation can remind everyone.

It's close to Central Park, and you can walk to the Hudson River and Statue of Liberty. It was nice to be able to take a walk in the park in the early evening or morning. The counter staff was very friendly and overall, it was good value for money. It's close to public transportation at JFK Airport.
