"It's the former F Hotel Alishan branch that was renamed recently, so you can still see the F Hotel name in many places inside the hotel. The service is pretty good. There's a coffee machine and Little Beauty ice cream in the lobby, available all day. The toilet water pressure is strong and easy to flush, but the showerheads are relatively small. The hairdryer works well. The toilet isn't a bidet toilet. There used to be facilities for grass skiing and hot spring fish, but those are no longer there. The foot bath area is still there, but it's cold water, so I'm not sure if the water has been changed. The fish are still there, but there are a lot of mosquitoes! Because I checked in on a weekday, the breakfast buffet wasn't available; only set meals were offered. Unfortunately, everything was cold and not very tasty, with very few choices! For the price, I think it's pretty good."
Ailefen Manor Guesthouse Encounter the gentlest scenery amidst the tranquility of the Alishan mountain range's ridgelines | Guesthouse Introduction| Ailefen Manor is situated halfway up Alishan Mountain, facing "Elephant Mountain," which resembles an elephant lying peacefully in the valley. Surrounded by tea plantations, mountain mists, and layered mountain ridges, it's a healing haven for travelers seeking respite from the city and stress. At sunrise, the sunlight slowly rises from the valley, illuminating the greenery surrounding the manor; in the afternoon, the drifting clouds and the whispering tea leaves create a completely relaxing atmosphere. At night, the sky is filled with stars, as if you can hear the stories told by the mountain winds and nature. A visit to Ailefen is not just a trip—it's the beginning of a new breath for body and mind.
"Every architectural detail here is amazing, and the front desk staff are incredibly warm and welcoming! ❤️ The breakfast was delicious too! The environment is very clean and comfortable, and all the facilities are top-notch. It's truly excellent! When we arrived, afternoon tea hours were already over, but the B&B staff thoughtfully saved some for us to enjoy! So considerate!"
"It's a newly renovated backpacker hostel in an old bungalow. The beds and blankets are all new and very clean. The beds are comfortable to sleep in. Because it's an old house, the soundproofing isn't very good. You can see the beautiful scenery of Elephant Mountain and the surrounding peaks outside. Breakfast is served at the outdoor tables and chairs area. It's very chill to eat breakfast while enjoying the view. The owner has a very outgoing and generous personality. You can take the bus to Alishan from Chiayi Railway Station and get off at ”Dongxiding Station”. The hostel is right across the street, which is very convenient. It's also only a 3-4 minute walk from Xiding Station on the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle, making it very convenient to get to Alishan. I spent a wonderful three days and two nights here."
