This Comfort Inn in Newton, KS is the worst CI I have stayed at. Spotted Roaches as soon as we entered the room. Some other type of small black bug crawling on walls and bathroom floor. Killed 4 along with the roaches. Curtains are broken. The desk lamp doesn’t work and there is a large stain on the carpet. The bathroom door will not lock. In the 30 minutes I have been here, I am already itching. There is a spongy section under carpet as if floor has been repaired but gives when one walks on it. I will never stay here again. This is not the service or type of room I am used to getting at Comfort Inn. I stayed at one last night in Mt. Vernon, Ill and it was great.

My family had 2 rooms to stay and ended up having a horrible car accident. I called to cancel for them at 5.26pm lastnight after i found out about the accident. (Yes after the cutoff for cancelation), but most hotels are understandable with uncontrollable incidents. They would not cancel and they charged for both rooms. I hope this never happens to any of your family. No my parents are not ok! Rude receptionist in the morning when I called back to talk to manager that was "not in until noon".

We hadn’t stayed at this hotel for 5 years. Previous to that this hotel in Newton was our favorite for our monthly trips there. We were so sad to see how it has not been kept up. The exercise room was closed. The pool was closed. The lobby furniture was soiled. The room carpet looked old and dingy. The entire plumping of the sink was broken but could be used if held in with one hand and worked faucet with other. The bed and pillows were very comfortable! We love comfort Inns but this is one We won’t stay in again.

As is common among Choice hotels, this hotel had a great price posted on their own website for the day I planned to arrive, but they refused to honor that price, instead trying to charge an extra 40%. The desk clerk acknowledged the posted price, but claimed inability to honor it...and the manager refused to answer her phone.

Our car ran into issues on the interstate and we ended up staying in Newton for 2 nights while they fixed the car. The staff was fantastic! So helpful and understanding and helped us to forget the chaos that was going on and did everything they could to make our stay most enjoyable. Our room was very clean, pool temperature was perfect and breakfast was good too!

Took a team to compete in a tournament only to have multiple rooms infested with BEDBUGS! Not newly infested-some very large! Absolutely do not stay-plus lots of roaches! If there was a -10 rating, this place deserves it!
