Oriental Hills Okinawa

This was my first time staying here. I stayed during the Obon holiday. The staff were all polite and helpful. The dinner was French and delicious, but perhaps because I had high expectations, I wish I had been a little more excited. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. What was disappointing was that there seemed to be some kind of space for storing linens or something in the space directly below the room, and the hotel service car parked there every day, so I didn't have the privacy I was hoping for, and even when I looked from the pool, the staff just left without saying hello. It was a bit annoying. I don't think it's possible for the service line to be right in front of you. The water quality of the private pool was nice, but there was some rust on some of the tiles and the sprayed parts of the wall were peeling, which brought my excitement down. I think it's time for some maintenance. The bath was also instructed to set the water level to the maximum, which brought my excitement down. Perhaps because my expectations were too high, I felt a bit depressed. I was excited to hear that the refrigerator was free, but if they had offered 100% juice, I might have been more excited. The room service was also disappointing, with only snacks at night. Well, the price includes dinner, so some people may think it's cheap, but I didn't feel excited at all, so I'm not sure. However, the staff were all polite, so I was able to relax without getting angry. I hope the food quality will improve in general.

The facilities in the rooms are too old. After checking in, when we were being shown around, we were told, "Unfortunately, you can't see the sunset from the room. The reason is that the western sun comes in and the temperature in the room rises, and the air conditioner can't cool it down enough." However, when we went outside, it was midsummer in Okinawa, and there was not a single moment when we felt comfortable inside the room, and the air conditioner didn't work. As for the food, I'll give my conclusion in advance: I didn't eat sushi so I can't evaluate it, but I definitely don't recommend French food. The teppanyaki was very delicious. It was French, but we ate it at a time when the sunset was beautiful and took photos. They basically explained the dishes, but when we asked for more drinks when the dishes were brought, they forgot to explain the dishes. We started in two parts, and the other group was a little faster, so the next dish was brought, but the previous dish was still on the table and hadn't been finished, so they slid the plates together to move the plates that were on the table with the plates of the dishes they brought. What in the world? ? ? I was confused. I have never been treated like that at any cheap restaurant in town, and when I told the chefs around me about this, they were shocked and laughed. It's not about the price, it's about the person's personality. I assumed it was a young staff member who was not yet used to serving customers (even if it was a young staff member who was not used to serving customers, such a staff member should not be allowed to serve in front of customers), but the staff member was featured in a blog by someone who had stayed at this hotel, and he seemed to be a bartender with some work experience. I paid a high price of nearly 200,000 yen per night, but the food was bad and the service was worse than that of a business hotel. No wonder I don't see rich people who usually receive first-class service here. I will never stay here again. The price is first-class, but the hospitality is lacking.
