Umino Ryotei Okinawa Nakamasou

Ryokan is located in nakama which is in the middle of onna and nago, making it convenient for travel around the north. Highlight will be the meals (breakfast and dinner) provided as part of the stay. Do note there's no housekeeping, but new set of towels and amenities are provided daily.

From the moment we drove into the driveway, we knew this would be a special stay. We were warmly welcomed outside, helped with our luggage, and greeted with matcha and mochi while we checked in. To our delight, we were even upgraded for our one-night stay. Stepping into our room was a true “wow” moment. It was immaculate, beautifully designed, and offered breathtaking ocean views. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, making it one of the most comfortable and memorable stays we’ve had. The onsen was another highlight. Soaking in the warm waters while taking in the stunning sea views was incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was the real winner. A week before our arrival, the hotel thoughtfully reached out via email to understand our Muslim-friendly dietary requirements, and they confirmed everything again during check-in. The breakfast prepared for us was not only delicious but also showed the genuine care and effort the team put into making us feel welcome. The service throughout our stay was exceptional—warm, attentive, and sincere. We also adored the friendly resident cats that greeted us around the property, adding an extra touch of charm. A truly special ryokan experience in Okinawa. We only wish we had stayed longer.

We were welcomed warmly by the hotel staff. One of the hotel staff (feeling bad for not getting their names) brought us to our room and showed us our room amenities. The Premium Suite is very big and there is only one such suite in the whole hotel. The Suite comes with a balcony, living room, bedroom, futon area, large bathroom and a separated toilet. The balcony faces the beautiful sea. The only downside during our trip is that the sunset was covered by the clouds. The dining area is on the 2nd floor where our booking included one full-course meal for both dinner and breakfast. The staff will ask for your preferred dining timing during the check-in. Our futons were set up during our dinner time. We got to eat a good variety of dishes during our meals, and the food was very good and fresh. The staff also tried to introduce each dish in English. Thank you. Hot bath/onsen and steam room is located on the 1st floor. Not sure if everyone is enjoying the bath within their room, it was pretty quiet during our visit. We did not notice any gym or laundry facilities though.  Price aside, it is definitely highly recommended for families and larger group of friends who likes to enjoy the hotel stay and amenities. You will probably not feel like travelling out after stepping in.

Excellent ryokan hotel! Service staff was very polite and everything was done so perfectly with grace. Food was good, room was very well done up to the details and clean. There was a surprise bday gesture when I informed the hotel and we got it during dinner. However, do note that the onsen is artificial, as Okinawa doesn’t have any onsen nearby.

It was a very enjoyable stay - service was impeccable and the room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast spread was delicious and immaculately prepared. We really enjoyed our stay here and would return the next time!

Wonderful place, service is excellent, people were friendly, view from room of the beach was amazing... We had breakfast everyday and also the kaiseki dinner which were excellent... I'll definitely return. Thanks for making the stay so enjoyable!
