Osaka Teikoku Hotel Reviews

Both Namba Station and Dotonbori are within walking distance. The interior is spacious for a Japanese accommodation, so you can spread out two or more suitcases!! The bed is also soft so you can sleep comfortably!! I was worried because I heard a lot about how small the bathroom was, but it didn't feel too narrow and was just as big as a typical Japanese accommodation. The bathtub is comfortable and the water pressure in the shower is good. The downside is that you have to leave your card at the desk on the first floor when going out, but the staff always greeted you kindly, so I didn't feel any inconvenience. It's just a little annoying!! The streets near Dotonbori feel a bit dangerous, but the area near Teikoku Hotel is quiet, so I think it would be a good place for people traveling in groups!!! There is a double lock in the room~~ The dryer isn't bad, and the curling iron can't be used either. In the end, I bought a Japanese travel curling iron. Because it is good value for money and has a good location, I plan to stay at Teikoku Hotel on my next trip to Osaka. Highly recommended :)

Cleanliness is great with location that is near to namba station and dotonbori. Staffs are friendly and helpful. There are a few eatery around the hotel but did not try it due to eating at other places. Amenities are not a lot but good enough for us. I also love the sense of humour when the cleaning staff put the cat doll that we won the other night on our bed 😂

We have 4 people in our party and it has 4 beds with charging capacities on top of every bed. The room is bigger than other Japanese like budget hotels I stayed at. Very convenient location to Dotonbori district.

Room was surprisingly and pleasantly big and spacious. We opened luggages, bags and still walk around easily. The only area that is cram is outside the toilet, which is located to the right of the beds. As the door opens toward the beds the space to navigate with the opened door is small for anyone which a bigger build. Toilet is bigger than a twin room toilet. Location of the hotel is superb for travellers who are keen to be walking around shinsaibashi, Dotonburi and Namba area.

The property advertised itself as having a spa, but in fact there was no spa.

The staff were so friendly, kind and helpful. The room was exactly as described and ver clean/comfortable. The pillows were hard, but that seems consistent with many hotels in Japan. A great stay.

It was clean and the location was great! It was friendly and I wanted to visit again next time!! It was nice that it was close to the subway station and easy to get to Dotonbori.

Pretty average. Bathroom was small but the rest of the room was decent sized for being in Japan. we had a two twin bed room. Friends had a double bed and their room was a tad smaller.

The twin room is a good size, overall I like it. But the bathroom bathtub is the smallest among the Osaka business hotels I have stayed in, which is a pity. Drinking water, bath towels, and bathrobes are provided every day (even though there is a Do Not Disturb sign, they also leave supplies at the door every day, which is a plus) It is not far or near from Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi and Namba. The advantage of this place is that it is not too difficult to take the airport bus from Namba Station. The front desk requires you to pay the room card every time you go out. However, when you return to the hotel, there is a middle-aged and elderly male receptionist with a bad attitude. When you get the room card back, you seem to owe him money. This affects the guest's mood. Please consider handing back the room card. .

The hotel staff were very friendly. Even though I am Korean and cannot speak Japanese very well, they answered everything in body language and English and even allowed me to check in 30 minutes early, so I was able to travel without any inconvenience.
