★★★★ 9.0 (2,756 reviews)

"I booked a triple bed room but one of the beds is a cot which is very disappointing. Breakfast is cheap and it makes sense. Worst thing is the service. Receptionists don't help guests make a short phone call for a reservation. On a check-out day, make sure you should bring your baggages except for one per person. THE WORST hotel ever I stayed in my whole life."

The hotel provides communal washing machines, microwaves, and vending machines, which are incredibly practical for long trips. The room has great natural light, and the mattress is soft and comfortable for sleeping. There are plenty of charging outlets. The lobby offers complimentary small items like face masks and tea bags, showing thoughtful attention to detail. It's a ten-minute walk from popular attractions, and a night stroll around the area has a fantastic atmosphere. The cleanliness is impeccable, with no strange odors, and the Wi-Fi speed is stable. "Fantastic location, very nice hotel with many amenities. Feel is almost like a casino with check in at 3 pm, bag pick up and drop off lines. Room is small but bigger than most business hotels at the same price. The ofuro on the 4th floor is great. Main complaint is the elevator lines and waits are excessive, hotel should use AI to figure this out."

Maru House Hotels in Osaka

"Right outside the door is Tsutenkaku Tower, which is really nice! The place is exceptionally clean, and I absolutely love the style. When you walk in, the wooden floors feel great under your feet, especially since you take your shoes off. Having a private shower and toilet is super convenient, just like being at home. Even though the bathroom is small, it's perfectly adequate for one person. Fresh towels are provided daily. They don't offer toothbrushes or toothpaste, but shampoo and shower gel are included. There's a trash can, so you don't need to bring your own. It's very quiet at night, which is great for sleeping. There's a microwave and a hot water dispenser, so you can easily make instant noodles or heat up ready-to-eat meals bought from the convenience store. A refrigerator is also available. The air conditioning gets very cold, and the bed is soft, which I initially found a bit uncomfortable, but I adjusted to it later. There are power outlets right by the bed, perfect for charging devices and playing games. The only downside is that there's no elevator, and I was on the third floor, so I had to walk up all the stairs. The owner, despite being Korean, is incredibly nice and unbiased. When checking out, all you have to do is leave the key on the table, which is super convenient if you have an early flight."

Smile Hotel Premium Osaka Higashishinsaibashi ★★★★
"Dear Hotel Management, I recently stayed at your hotel for two days and overall had a comfortable experience. However, I unfortunately lost a valuable item (a necklace) during my stay. I am writing this because I had some difficulty communicating smoothly with the hotel staff regarding this matter. On the evening of the 20th, I placed my necklace on the desk and did not wear it while touring on the 21st. Thinking my companion had packed it, I only realized it was missing after checking out, and I contacted the hotel immediately. When I called, the hotel simply stated that they checked and found nothing, without offering to contact me if it is found later. If the hotel finds the lost item later, please contact me via email.

"It's cheap after all, and provides a place to sleep. There's no air purifier in the room, and the facilities are relatively basic. They don't provide coffee, tea bags, or any toiletries like facial cleansers or skincare samples. You have to bring all of those yourself. Outside the window is the highway and Tennoji Zoo."

"The room has a separate wet and dry area and is very spacious. It's also very close to the station and has a washer-dryer, which I really liked. There's a convenience store nearby, and it's a short walk to Osaka Castle Park. Overall, the hotel lives up to its 500-yen price point."

Osaka Ebisu Hotel ★★★
"🚎 Commute: Just a 1-minute walk from Ebisucho Station Exit 3 to the hotel! Super convenient! Dotonbori is only two subway stops away, or about a 25-minute walk. Hygiene: I was personally very satisfied, although the air conditioning had a strange smell for the last two days, not sure why. Housekeeping: They bring fresh towels and bottled water every day! Thumbs up! Honestly, I don't use that many towels, haha. They also clean the room and make the bed on the second day of your stay. Bathroom: It's quite compact, but the shower pressure is excellent, making for a refreshing wash. Taller or larger guests might find it a bit inconvenient. 🤓 In summary: The best choice for solo travelers! If I come to Osaka again, I'd recommend staying at this hotel. It's also very quiet at night; I was worried it might be noisy, but it wasn't at all. The guests in the neighboring rooms were all very considerate. 😇 🥹🥹 A wonderful trip to Osaka!"
