Xige1993Extremely satisfied with my stay! The hotel's location is super convenient, and the room was spacious, bright, and very clean. The bedding was so soft and comfortable, I slept like a baby all night. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive, always ready to help with anything I needed. Breakfast was delicious and had a great variety. The facilities are excellent, offering great value for money, and I truly felt at home. I'll definitely choose this place again next time and highly recommend it!

A fantastic Japanese-style guesthouse. The neighborhood is very quiet, and it's less than a 10-minute walk from the subway station. The room was impeccably clean, and with only one unit per floor accessed directly by elevator, it offered excellent privacy. The facilities were well-equipped, making it a perfect spot to experience Japanese culture. The host was wonderfully warm and attentive, and all the visual and written instructions provided were incredibly comprehensive. Highly recommended!

He HuaI had a wonderful stay at Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka. The location was excellent, within walking distance of Osaka Station, restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping areas, making it very convenient for sightseeing and transportation.
The room was clean, modern, and well-maintained. Although the room size was compact, which is common in Japan, it was thoughtfully designed and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet, allowing for a good night’s sleep.
One of the highlights was the public bath facility, which was clean and relaxing after a long day of exploring the city. The staff were friendly, professional, and efficient during both check-in and check-out.
The breakfast offered a good selection of Japanese and Western dishes, and the quality was excellent.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for travelers looking for a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located place to stay in Osaka. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

ericachan888The location is quiet and close to two train stations, making it convenient for getting around. The staff are very responsible and respond quickly, even late at night. When we had a problem with the water heater in the early morning, they sent someone to fix it the next morning. The staff member in charge even spoke Chinese, which was very thoughtful and dedicated. There's a small balcony, which is great for drying clothes. If you like trains, you can also watch them pass by at the nearby station from the balcony.
Downsides: The location is a bit too secluded. In winter, it gets dark very early, and there are very few dim streetlights in the residential area. There are almost no pedestrians, so as a solo female traveler, I felt a bit scared and had to return to the guesthouse early. There are no restaurants downstairs; you have to walk to find them. The water heater was troublesome; it's a storage type, so you constantly have to check if the water level is low and manually boil water, otherwise, you won't have hot water for a shower (I discovered this when the temperature was around 1-2 degrees Celsius, but once the temperature rose, the water heater didn't take as long to heat up).

Serena AnnderynaOne of the best hotel we stayed in Osaka. It's a great location to explore and if you are lucky you can spot some cool cars or motorcycle around the area. Especially near the American mura at night. We love to walk around and explore and came across the Liberty Walk Osaka. We took the ' Darth Vader' looking train from Kansai airport at the Nankai line. We spotted the Dainese shop from the train and went to check it out. They have some Valentino Rossi official merchandise. It's just below the Keihan hotel. Can't remember most of the road name but we were just walking about using Google map trying to check out the Osaka Loop where if ur lucky you could spot some cool cars and motorcycles.

Room is nice, but need to be more careful about the cleaning.By the way,I still like the place and love to comeback to stay. It is worth the money.

Hannah R CHotel were offering late checkouts to guests who left 5* reviews, so I feel that the reviews have been artificially inflated by people rating 5* so that they can get late checkout.
Location was quite far from the JR Namba station and even further from the metro Namba station.
The bed was really hard and uncomfortable.
Bathroom was tiny, kitchenette had a raised lip which was easy to trip over or stub your toes on. However, the size of the room was good, there was a good amount of space.
It would be ok to spend a night or two here but I think we were there 5 nights which wasn’t great with the uncomfortable bed.
When we checked in we were told a room number of an uncleaned room and had to ring out of hours to swap rooms, but that was all resolved quickly by the hotel.
Also to note, the keyboxes didn’t feel very safe/ secure because the codes followed a pattern (so if you knew one you’d know the other rooms), but we didn’t use the lockbox except for when we checked in so it didn’t affect us, but just something to consider.
Overall it was ok for a budget hotel but I think the reviews make it seem too good to be true!

여행하는박씨부인I really agonized over where to stay, but I'm so glad I chose this place. We're a family of five, and since the beds were double and single, we booked two rooms so we could all sleep comfortably. Each room felt like a studio apartment in Korea, probably about 15 pyeong (around 500 sq ft). The price for two rooms was also less than half of what a five-person accommodation would typically cost. It's about a 15-minute walk to Dotonbori and only 5 minutes from Namba Station, making it easy to find after getting off the subway. My main concern when looking for a place was cleanliness and spaciousness, and the rooms were truly spotless with modern facilities. There's a Lawson convenience store just 3 minutes away. The bathroom was incredibly clean, the water pressure was excellent 👍, and the blankets were so fluffy and cozy, making for a really comfortable night's sleep ❤️. For breakfast, we were given sandwiches and egg tarts at the cafe on the first floor, with a choice of drinks. They even gave us coffee coupons for the cafe. Since we only stayed one night, we ended up with two coffee/drink coupons for the morning. I recommend using them right when you arrive! The egg tarts and coffee were delicious too. It's fantastic value for money, the facilities are clean, and the location is great, which is probably why so many Koreans stay here. There's also a quiet, traditional Japanese izakaya nearby where I enjoyed a draft beer at night, soaking in the local atmosphere. I'll be posting a more detailed review on my travel blog, 'Traveling Mrs. Park'. This is a 10-star, highly recommended, super cost-effective accommodation, paid for with my own money, by Traveling Mrs. Park.

XxyyfFourth time staying here, and this time I came during cherry blossom season. The price was great, and the hospitality was as warm as ever. I pretty much stay here every time I'm in Osaka. The only thing is there aren't many single rooms available, but the soundproofing is decent.
