No. 1 of Luxury Hotels in Osaka
In the Umekita area of Osaka, our hotel, designed by the award-winning Andre Fu, is surrounded by businesses, shopping centers, and restaurants. Our ideal location is within one hour from Kyoto, Kobe, and Nara. Our restaurants, fitness center, indoor pool, and spa complete your stay. The Waldorf Astoria Osaka stands as a symbol of modern luxury and timeless sophistication in the heart of Osaka's most vibrant and forward-thinking district, Umekita.Celebrated for its cutting-edge developments and dynamic atmosphere, is renowned for its dynamic blend of modern infrastructure and vibrant urban life with its forward-thinking fusion of business, culture, and shopping.A new era of luxury.

"Waldorf set the tone for the entire luxury hotel in Osaka, it deserves the highest praise. From the moment you step out of the car upon entering the hotel, the emotional experience is flawless. Upon reaching the reception area, the hot towels and tea are a first thing you'll find that sets it apart from other luxury hotels. This attention to detail is so thoughtful; it shows how much they understand that after transportation, travelers can perform a handwashing ritual, representing not only physical cleanliness but also a reminder of mental well-being. It's fantastic. The only suggestion I could make is that having someone sit down during check-in would be better than standing at the reception desk. Other staff members who left a deep impression included Yui and another girl who showed us to our room (I don't remember her name, but I do remember she taught me that Yui's name is Y and I; she was all smiles, in high spirits, and explained the hotel facilities very well, greatly reducing any sense of unfamiliarity as a new guest). Since we returned to the hotel quite late that night, we mainly went to the bar near the back entrance for drinks. The bartenders were very attentive, and the welcome drink was delicious. When leaving the hotel, the staff throughout the journey were attentive. Because our next destination was relatively close to the hotel, the staff at the entrance (I forgot his name, but I remember he was short and had braces; his performance that day was perfect) arranged for a hotel car to escort us there. The driver was Italian, very professional, and had an excellent attitude. Words of gratitude are insufficient to praise this outstanding driver. If a hotel's maximum score is 5, I would give it a 6. It truly embodies the image of a luxury hotel and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I will definitely return on my next trip. I am grateful for everyone's efforts throughout the journey."

From our breathtaking 20th floor sky lobby to 221 spacious sanctuaries; we unlock a seamless space where freedom follows your every move. No matter where your day takes you; Patina Osaka ensures you are right where you belong.

"The hotel is located between Shichome and Morinomiya, about a 10-minute walk to both subway stations. You can take a bus to Umeda, and it's very close to Osaka Castle. Dining options nearby are limited, with a few cafes and sushi restaurants that all close after 10 PM. There are no convenience stores in the immediate vicinity; the closest ones are near the subway stations. However, there are plenty of vending machines in Japan, so getting water is easy. There's no airport shuttle service, and I didn't encounter any staff who spoke Chinese. Nevertheless, the check-in process was very smooth. The breakfast was quite extensive, primarily Western-style with some Chinese dim sum. It's semi-buffet; drinks and some dishes need to be ordered using the QR code on the table, which brings up a Chinese menu. The restaurant environment is very pleasant. There seemed to be a teppanyaki section, but I didn't try it."

The environment is great, the staff is friendly, and I loved everything about it. Even our charter driver said it was better than the Waldorf Astoria, haha! The service is truly excellent. "The location is extremely convenient. If you're looking for an old-school hotel vibe, you might find it here, but the facilities are really outdated – I couldn't stand them. The showerhead was in the bathtub and there was no separate shower, which was a real deal-breaker for me. I'll definitely stick to newer hotels from now on. The Japanese restaurant on the fifth floor was pretty good; I had sushi for a reasonable price, with 16k and 26k options available."

"The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right across from Daimaru Department Store and Parco Mall, with direct access to the Midosuji subway line downstairs. I especially want to praise the front desk staff. On the night of check-in, my suitcase lock broke, and I couldn't open it. I struggled to communicate using broken English and a translation app, but the front desk lady found a staff member who spoke Chinese to help. A kind gentleman with glasses and big eyes used a tool to open one of the zippers for me, saving me from the embarrassment of not having any clothes to change into in the hot weather. I'm truly grateful to the staff at Hotel Nikko for making my first trip to Japan such a positive experience. The room was also great. Since I wanted to sleep in during the day, I requested that housekeeping be done after 12 PM, and they always cleaned promptly every day. I was so busy every day that I only managed to take one photo of the Osaka Castle view from outside the hotel."

Centara Grand Hotel Osaka is a new landmark in Namba- a vibrant entertainment and shopping district with a rooftop restaurant at a height of 134 meters

"This hotel is super close to Namba Station, which is a major transportation hub. It's a new hotel with very new facilities. The room is a bit small but very well-designed, and the bedding is really comfortable. The hotel has a very 'Thai' scent, which is quite unique. It seems they don't usually offer free room upgrades, but when I arrived, the front desk proactively offered a discounted upgrade. The hotel is also very near to Takashimaya and other shopping spots. The Namba area is great for exploring, and you can get to Umeda in just four subway stops. Definitely worth staying here!"

"Pros: 1. The pajamas have a cute runway-pattern design. 2. The lobby is quite beautiful. 3. Close to both the airport and the train station. 4. Each floor has a microwave, ice machine, and water purifier (you need to bring your own kettle from the room to fill it). 5. There's a Lawson convenience store on the second floor of the hotel. Cons: 1. Regarding the free shuttle bus: It only goes from the hotel to the airport, there's no service from the airport to the hotel (I've stayed at the Washington Hotel next door before, and they offer free shuttle service both ways). OMO's shuttle bus requires scanning a QR code on a brochure at the hotel front desk to make a reservation, and the process also involves email confirmation, which is quite complicated. In contrast, the Washington Hotel only requires operating on a tablet in the lobby. However, for both hotels, there's a possibility that your desired time slot might already be fully booked. 2. Regarding toiletries: This is the first time I've encountered a hotel in Japan that doesn't provide small packages of makeup remover, facial cleanser, and skincare products. They only offer toothbrushes, green tea bags, razors, and bath towels. I can't understand how it was rated five stars. The front desk replied that if you need makeup remover and skincare products, you have to use them at the large public bath on the 3rd floor (which is not a hot spring). However, not all guests want to go to the public bath to shower, and guests on their period cannot go either. Moreover, the hairdryer area in the large public bath on the 3rd floor only has 6 mirrors + hairdryers and only 2 stools. Everyone else has to stand. This is quite inconsiderate for a hotel with nearly 20 floors and dozens of rooms per floor. 3. Regarding the water temperature in the room's bathroom: The water from the sink faucet easily becomes super hot. Even if the handle is adjusted all the way to the right (the cold water zone), the super hot situation doesn't change. After multiple experiments, I found that the faucet's water temperature is affected by using the shower head in the bathtub or flushing the toilet. For example: if the faucet is running and someone flushes the toilet, the water becomes super hot; or if someone is using the shower head in the bathtub, the water also becomes super hot. 4. Regarding noise in the room: Both the refrigerator and air conditioner generate noise. If you don't use the refrigerator, you can turn it off. However, even when the air conditioner is set to the lowest fan speed, there's still significant noise. The video shows it being filmed at the bedside with the lowest fan speed setting. Even with earplugs, the noise is still clearly audible, making it unsuitable for light sleepers who are sensitive to sound. Neutral points: 1. The mattress is quite soft, suitable for those who prefer a soft bed. 2. The room has 4 hangers (2 with clips), while the Washington Hotel has 9 hangers."

Swissôtel Nankai Osaka is a 5-star premium hotel in the city centre Namba, with direct access to Kansai International Airport, subway and bus stations to Osaka and Japan, and walking distance to Osaka's major tourist attractions. Offering Swiss hospitality with Japanese omotenashi, the family leisure and business hotel offers 546 rooms and suites with Swiss Executive Lounge, dedicated parking and diverse dining options with five restaurants, three bars, and a café serving local and international cuisine.

"I booked a double room, and for a Japanese hotel, it was quite spacious. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its incredibly excellent location. It's situated right above Nankai Namba Station, so you can get there within 40 minutes from Kansai Airport by train. There are also multiple subway lines nearby, making it easy to reach popular tourist areas like Umeda and Tennoji within 20 minutes. Plus, from the hotel, you're just a 10-minute walk from Osaka's popular Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi areas. The Takashimaya department store and Namba Parks, located right below the hotel, are also well worth exploring. The room was clean, and daily housekeeping was prompt and thorough. If you're looking for a hassle-free and convenient hotel in southern Osaka, this is definitely your best bet."
