Beautiful place, room was lovely and the whole place. Hosts were wonderful and a lovely couple. Very clean everywhere and a 2 min walk from the town and beach. Will definitely be going back again, absolutely wonderful week spent with my husband. Thank you Marc and Julie X

We had a lovely time staying at Meritt House b&b Andy and Melissa were amazing hosts. Breakfast was lovely and plenty to choose from and the rooms were really nice, very clean and had everything you would need. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Melissa and Andy are great hosts. Bedrooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. Food is fantastic. They make your stay feel like home from home. Perfect place to stay. Close to all amenities and train station. Don't just take my word... book and see for yourself. You won't regret one second 😊

we had a lovely time here.the room was very clean and a good size too. lovely biscuits and chocolate left in room. good location. breakfast was superb. both andy and Melissa are lovely and friendly hosts. would definitely recommend. lovely place all round

We had a ground floor room (number 4 at the rear).Lovely view of the steam engines and cricket ground. Room had everything you needed, iron, toiletries, hairdryer, tv, tea, coffee, (choice of decaf )and biscuits replenished daily. Milk and water were also available in the fridge situated in the dining area. Breakfast was outstanding and ample choice available. Andy and Melissa were very welcoming and recommended places to eat and visit. Nothing was too much trouble and much thought has gone into trying to make there guest as comfortable as possible during there stay. I would highly recommend Merritt house and would like to thank Andy and Melissa for there hospitality.

We had a fantastic stay here-Andy and Melissa made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The room was a good size and well stocked with pretty much everything you need in the way of toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities. The bed was super comfy and the breakfast was the best we’ve had in a very long time! Andy and Melissa made us feel as though we were revisiting friends rather than staying with hosts and were always happy to chat and have a laugh. Great B&B, great location but most of all, fabulous couple!

This was our 3rd time at Merritt House and, as usual, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay (of 4 nights). Andy and Melissa were excellent hosts, very friendly and efficient. We travelled with another couple who said that the breakfasts were the best that they had ever had at a B&B, and I can't disagree! I would certainly recommend staying here. Merritt House is ideally situated for the town and sea front, both just a very short walk away.
