The soundproofing of the room is okay. It faces the street and it's not too noisy. The location is very convenient. It's especially convenient to buy a one- and two-day subway card. You can get to the subway in one minute after leaving home.

The hotel is really dilapidated and the hygiene is very poor. After lying down all night, there are traces of two small insect bites on my body. The bathroom is also very small, but the staff is very nice.

Front desk people were kind. But there were bed bugs. We asked to switch rooms, and we were moved and did not see bed bugs in the new room. We did not stay a second night. Too bad because the room looked nicer than we expected. Wish we didn’t have to deal with this.

It’s an affordable hotel that is clean and very central. Most metro stations are very close, one is right next to the hotel. The main train stations are very close by (including Eurostar). We stayed on the sixth floor, which has a fantastic view (you can even see the Eiffel Tower). The room was cleaned on a daily basis. There is a 24 hour reception, which is great if you want to check in late/ leave the keys. We had options to leave our luggage before and after arrival (check-in). Additionally, there is an elevator that takes you all the way up to your room. The private bathroom has a shower and fresh towels were provided every day. We walked to all of the main attractions as Paris isn’t that big. The hotel has a great public transport connection to Disneyland as well. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and will give you advice if you need it. We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely recommend the hotel! Info: I read that some reviews mentioned that the area doesn’t seem safe. It is a train station area and almost every big city can be quite busy close to train stations, so yeah, you will see lots of homeless people that might ask you for money, however, there’s nothing wrong with that. The area is probably one of the more affordable location for Parisian, which we as Londoners can relate to. We had no bad encounter, and no one tried to steal our money, you will be absolutely fine! If you come from a big city like we do, you won’t have any issues. Again, most attractions are close by and the main roads take you directly to your destination.

Terrible cleanliness. Lot of bugs. Very expensive. Small room and tiny bathroom. No AC for hot summer. Value for money is one of the lowest I've spent in UK & Europe. Never thought I would see anything like this after spending €200 per night. Only positive is the location.

I am very sad to say that we chose this hotel on the basis of average European prices and location. The quality of this place does not correspond to its price at all! We paid 129 EU per night for a double room that was barely usable. It had a damp smell, a soft spongy bed that left us with a couple of red spots that look like bedbug bites, and a small dark shower that had a constant smell of wee. The sliding door to the shower would not close all the way, and there was no air vent or light in the shower area itself. We had to do with the light over the sink and air the room to get the moisture out. This part of Boulevard de Strasbourg is very loud! There are a lot of late-night spots and public transport stops - so it is very loud at night! Now... we had stayed in 2 star hotels before, but we had never paid so much for being uncomfortable. This hotel takes the prize for the most unrefurbished, dingy and overpriced hotel we have stayed in so far. The only good thing about it is location - it's right outside Gare de l'Est, which has fantastic Metro connections.

We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. Location wise it is very close to train station and surrounded by restaurants. We had a terrible experience with room cleanliness, it was impossible to sleep due to the amount of bed bugs and other sort of insects as baby cockroaches in the beds, from the outside all look good but when actually sleeping in the sheets it was a nightmare. Completely unsanitary conditions. I got so many bites. I would not recommend anyone else to stay here to avoid living our same situation.

My famiie and now quite a few in our circle of friends, have used this cozy old and extremely well located hotel for over 35 years. The hotel contains small very simple rooms with private bathroom as well as sensible beds and closet, desk, chair and TV. The staff have been here for many years and are super helpful. In the basement there is a cozy and nice place for the typical simple Parisian breakfast with completely fresh barguette and croisant, which is picked up completely fresh from the baker who is next door. For this coffee / tea and juice. The Gare d'el Est Metro is located right next to the hotel. Just behind the hotel you will find the very cozy Canal saint Martin with locks and canal speed. Since you live super centrally - the traffic is heard of course. Therefore, rooms on the upper floors are preferable. Here the city skyline can be seen with both the Eifel Tower and Sarcre Ceur from the top floor.

The hotel is very dirty... Check in was at 2pm, and despite having arrived after 3pm the room was not ready!!! The dirty blankets... 2 windows which however could not be opened since there was furniture and a bed... The bathroom was very old and dilapidated...
