Muse Light felt like a true resort getaway. Our room for four was so fresh and immaculate, which we absolutely loved. Super comfortable and chill vibe for our small family vacation. Great location and super near all the exciting places for FengHuang Gucheng. A fantastic, clean home base!

The B&B room was clean, tidy, and odor-free. The proprietress was generous and welcoming, and there was a handsome guy who helped with luggage transfer. The night view was beautiful, and the people were even more so; Fenghuang Ancient City under the lights was exceptionally charming. In the morning, the Tuojiang River was misty, birds were singing, and after a stroll along the river and a moment of remembrance at Shen Congwen's tomb, reading his 'Border Town' brought a sense of his romance, leaving no worries in my heart.

Revisiting Fenghuang after ten years, it's still as bustling and crowded as ever, like a noisy marketplace. I really couldn't find much beauty in it. [😂] However, an unexpected surprise was the Guli Mingyue B&B, which was excellent. The location is superb, directly facing the Tuojiang River, with the iconic Wanming Pagoda right downstairs. Yet, it's set away from the noisy riverside area, offering peace and quiet – perfect for relaxation. The B&B's design is stylish, the owner's service is warm, and the resident cats add a lot of charm. The rooms are well-equipped, clean, and hygienic, with fantastic views. The overall price is also very reasonable, offering great value for money, which added a pleasant surprise to this second visit to Fenghuang. [👍][😊]

Our stay at this hotel was a very special experience, mainly due to its spectacular location. It's situated in a beautiful spot, ideal for enjoying the tranquility and the scenery. We loved that the rooms have outdoor terraces overlooking the river area, which adds incredible value. Furthermore, the possibility of watching an evening show from nearby was a wonderful touch. The reception service was excellent: they were very attentive and helped us with everything we needed, making our stay very comfortable. As for the room, while it wasn't very large and the hotel feels somewhat older compared to other hotels in China where we've stayed, it has a very welcoming and charming atmosphere that more than makes up for this. It feels very authentic. Point to consider: It's important to know that the hotel does not have an elevator. Conclusion: A highly recommended hotel for those looking for a charming place with unbeatable views and very personalized service, always keeping in mind that it's a property with a rich history.

We stopped here during our road trip, and overall, the stay was excellent. The room was clean and bright, with plenty of space, and the bedding was soft, ensuring a good night's sleep. The facilities were comprehensive, and the hot water supply was stable. The front desk staff were friendly, and check-in was efficient and quick. The surrounding area was convenient for getting around, and it was quiet at night with no bothersome noise, allowing us to rest well after a long drive. The price was great, offering excellent value for money. It's perfect for a stopover during a long road trip, and we'll definitely choose it again if we're passing through.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Location was about 15 min walk (depending on how fast you walk) to the main action along the river. Room was spacious and well equipped but could use some maintenance and extra cleaning in the bathroom -- dirty walls, flickering lights, moldy shower non-slip mat, almost empty mismatched shower supplies and hard water stains on the faucets. The soaking tub on the outdoor balcony was dirty (not surprised since it is outdoors, but did not seem like it had been cleaned in a while). Why do I need two garbage cans beside the toilet? Would not stay again on account of cleanliness.

Tucked away in a quiet spot, yet super close to the ancient city. The owner was incredibly welcoming, even upgraded our room and included breakfast! The noodles the breakfast lady made were really good too. They had the AC on for us before we arrived, which was a lifesaver for us northerners who get cold easily, and it worked perfectly. The facilities were complete, and the bedding was super comfy. The service was absolutely impeccable!

Huge thanks to the lovely lady who checked me in; she was so kind and helpful. The room itself was really comfortable, spacious, and thankfully, had no strange smells. The bedding was incredibly cozy, and the pillows were just right – not too soft, not too firm. I'll definitely be staying here again next time!

I liked the concept of the hotel with the treehouses and the bathtub outside was nice. Also the scenic area it was connected to was nice. The view was really nice too we were able to look over Fenghuang through the trees. However there was a drone which kept flying around while we were in the bathtub which was extremely uncomfortable and creepy. Also I got a cold because the heating is not properly working and it got very cold at night. The blow dryer also doesn’t get warm which made it hard to dry my hair. The breakfast is bad. It is very low quality and there are no vegetarian options. The first morning I was only able to eat one egg. Next day we didn’t even use the breakfast offer. But the coffee shop in the hotel has nice coffee although it’s a bit expensive.

The entire experience here truly shows the owner's thoughtful dedication. The room was clean and tidy, and the location is absolutely fantastic, right by the river. Being centrally located, it's super convenient for sightseeing. They offer a diverse breakfast in the morning, and in the afternoon, you can enjoy a lovely high tea by the riverside, just sitting and taking in the view. Downstairs, there's a cozy bar that offers a unique 'day coffee, night drinks' experience, which I absolutely loved. You can leisurely sip coffee during the day and unwind with a drink in the evening, all while enjoying the river view – it's incredibly relaxing. The service was warm, attentive, and incredibly thorough, taking care of every little detail. It’s a one-stop-shop for dining, accommodation, and entertainment, offering great value for money. Staying here for my trip to Fenghuang was perfect, and I'll definitely choose this place again if I come back!
