This B&B is located downstream from the scenic area, so it's quiet and peaceful, allowing you to really experience local life. It's also a nice stroll back to the B&B after seeing the night views. The value for money is excellent; if you're too tired to walk, a taxi ride is a bargain at just 8 yuan. Being downstream from the scenic area actually has an advantage: it's close to residential areas, so the breakfast spots and restaurants nearby aren't just geared towards tourists. We asked the B&B owner for recommendations and he suggested a restaurant just a few minutes away that we ended up eating at twice – definitely recommend it. Don't waste time searching on social media; just ask the owner where they usually eat!

We spent a long time researching and chose the only B&B in Fenghuang with panoramic views – it's absolutely stunning! The actual view upon arrival was even better than the photos. We booked the panoramic king room, which was spacious and comfortable. The air conditioning worked great, and the hot water supply was stable with good pressure. The cleanliness was also excellent. The most delightful surprise was the balcony view. As night fell, the entire ancient town's lights were laid out before us, completely unobstructed. Sitting on the balcony, enjoying the evening breeze and gazing at both banks of the Tuojiang River was incredibly refreshing. This is a rare, unparalleled viewing spot in Fenghuang. If you want an immersive experience of the ancient city's nightscape in Fenghuang, I highly recommend this place!

What a nice experience. The room was exquisite. We loved the terrace. The seats were very comfortable and we had a great view. Cherry on top we could see a fantastic show at night. We could also enjoy the sight of the dragon boat at night. Bare in mind that there is no pickup from the train station. But you can take the subway and they'll come and pick you up. If your party counts 4 members, I recommend taking a cab or a didi (just like the hotel recommended us). That said, we were given free rides to visit the city. They can also arrange a car for you to visit other sites (paying service). We had huge and high quality towels as well as disposable hand towels. The toilet was a washlet like the ones we have in Japan. The hotel was very clean. Unfortunately, they were some remodeling going on on the first floor when we stayed there and the smell of the solvent was unpleasant. They did not have enough sitting to accommodate proper sitting for everyone but we took our breakfast up to our private terrace and enjoyed it very much. The breakfast is a set breakfast. We could choose between 2 types of Chinese breakfast. I can't say that I loved the breakfast but it was nice. You can arrange it with many sauces, condiments and plenty of fresh chives and cilantro. You can even ask for seconds. The butler was very kind and helpful, as well as the rest of the staff as a matter of fact. They also have a washing machine that you can use for free but you have to take care of the drying yourself. My family and I got sick from a previous food intoxication and we were happy that we stayed in such a nice hotel. Fenghuang old city is very festive so it can get noisy at night but the terrace's windows are of very good quality, therefore it did not bother us much. It is possible that you can hear your neighbors though. All in all, despite being sick we had a wonderful experience at this hotel. We were happily surprised to receive a farewell gift. We definitely recommend the place and we go back to this hotel without hesitation.

We had a wonderful stay at this homestay with a beautiful view of the snow bridge. The place has two connecting rooms via the balcony, and my kids really enjoyed staying here. The location is excellent and very convenient. The host was very kind, waited for us at the carpark, and took us to his homestay, and can help arrange transportation if needed. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Our stay this time was absolutely fantastic! We were on a family road trip, and parking was convenient, with charging stations available. The hotel itself has an elegant ambiance, and the common areas were immaculately clean. Our room had excellent natural light and the hygiene was impeccable. The toiletries were of good quality. The staff were all warm, polite, and responsive to our requests. Breakfast offered a great variety of delicious options, and the location was convenient for getting around. It’s excellent value for money, and we felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay – definitely five stars! They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out, which was a lovely touch.

Huge thanks to the lovely lady who checked me in; she was so kind and helpful. The room itself was really comfortable, spacious, and thankfully, had no strange smells. The bedding was incredibly cozy, and the pillows were just right – not too soft, not too firm. I'll definitely be staying here again next time!

Tucked away in a quiet spot, yet super close to the ancient city. The owner was incredibly welcoming, even upgraded our room and included breakfast! The noodles the breakfast lady made were really good too. They had the AC on for us before we arrived, which was a lifesaver for us northerners who get cold easily, and it worked perfectly. The facilities were complete, and the bedding was super comfy. The service was absolutely impeccable!

We had such a great stay here! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had such a beautiful view. The staff were incredibly sweet and kind, and always ready to help us with anything we needed. Even with the language barrier, they made everything easy and were always available when we had questions. The location is also super convenient, especially being close to the railway station, and they even helped us get taxis which made things so much smoother. Right outside the hotel, there were also so many local restaurants with really delicious food, which made it even better. Our balcony view honestly felt like something out of a movie right by the river with performances happening and lots of cute little shops around. We felt really welcomed the whole time and would definitely stay here again!

I decided to stay at the hotel spontaneously, passing by. The name ”Palace” and the grand entrance were off-putting. The price on Trip was reasonable, though twice as expensive as the riverside rooms. I even thought it was a very good price, considering breakfast was included. They didn't offer me any upgrades, even though the hotel was empty. The only employee didn't understand for a long time that the reservation had arrived and been paid. Then he didn't understand for a long time when I asked about breakfast. I must say, the employees themselves are very friendly and try their best, but the management is completely incompetent in running the hotel. They don't even have a translator installed on WeChat, and in response to my messages, they kept repeating, ”I don't understand you.” I spent a long time trying to find out about breakfast, and I had to contact Trip support. Trip confirmed breakfast, and the chat also said ok, from 8 to 10 AM. After 7 PM, the employee completely disappeared, leaving only a security guard who only smiles and says yes, yes. The lights are out, so we had to use a flashlight to navigate the stairs. I went out for breakfast at 9 a.m. this morning. Ha, another employee claimed they don't serve breakfast at all! I asked why he lied? He replied that the ”owner” had ordered a whopping 20 yuan in compensation for breakfast! I used that to buy a cup of coffee... I even needed more for noodles! So, I got a one for service. For lying! I must say, I was delighted with the glass house! It's high up on a mountain, with stairs, but I don't have luggage, so that wasn't a problem for me. Panoramic views, silence, birds. The bed was very comfortable, the linens were the softest, the blanket was warm. The air conditioner was good, quiet, powerful, and the windows had mosquito nets. The shower and bathroom fixtures were clean, although not new. I slept like an angel. I have to give credit to the girls who clean the rooms. Everything was beautifully laid out, cleaned, and looked great. But the toilet flush, which didn't work, and the dirty shower drain—those were the work of men who apparently don't run the hotel. All these shortcomings were outweighed by the impression I got from the place and the city in general. I also really liked the cottage itself; it's technologically advanced and comfortable.

The entire experience here truly shows the owner's thoughtful dedication. The room was clean and tidy, and the location is absolutely fantastic, right by the river. Being centrally located, it's super convenient for sightseeing. They offer a diverse breakfast in the morning, and in the afternoon, you can enjoy a lovely high tea by the riverside, just sitting and taking in the view. Downstairs, there's a cozy bar that offers a unique 'day coffee, night drinks' experience, which I absolutely loved. You can leisurely sip coffee during the day and unwind with a drink in the evening, all while enjoying the river view – it's incredibly relaxing. The service was warm, attentive, and incredibly thorough, taking care of every little detail. It’s a one-stop-shop for dining, accommodation, and entertainment, offering great value for money. Staying here for my trip to Fenghuang was perfect, and I'll definitely choose this place again if I come back!
