Haixi Prefecture Hotels with Parking

On June 28, 2026, at 7:00 AM, after a high-speed train and a slower 'green-skin' train journey, we finally arrived at the Golmud Huanghe International Hotel. The friendly front desk lady warmly welcomed us and quickly processed our check-in. She even thoughtfully gave us two breakfast vouchers and advised us to rest well at the hotel after eating to acclimatize to the high altitude, rather than engaging in strenuous activities right away. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for dining and shopping. It also has its own parking lot, which is very friendly for self-driving tourists. The guest rooms are spacious, bright, clean, and hygienic, and the housekeeping staff diligently cleaned them every day. The hotel breakfast was abundant, offering both Chinese and Western options, as well as ******* tsampa and milk tea. The freshly prepared beef noodles were particularly good. They delivered complimentary fruit and snacks every day. On two occasions when we left early for a day tour, they even prepared packed lunches for us. The lobby manager, Xiaofang, was incredibly kind. She gave us a discount when we extended our stay and even added us on WeChat, checking in daily to see how we (being seniors in our sixties) were adapting to the high altitude. The Golmud Huanghe International Hotel truly felt like a warm and considerate temporary home for us in the highlands. We are very grateful for the efforts of every staff member at the hotel. Our trip to the Northwest highlands was delightful, and none of our initial worries materialized; we completed our high-altitude itinerary smoothly. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you visit Golmud. Five-star rating!

After traveling for over ten days, this was by far the most welcoming hotel throughout our trip. The location is unbeatable, the facilities are complete and well-maintained, and all the staff members are incredibly warm and attentive. They even have a dedicated parking attendant, and laundry service staff who help with hanging clothes. The breakfast staff were also enthusiastic and thoughtful. Stayed two nights in Golmud, and for the second night, I specifically upgraded to a more expensive hotel because it had a bathtub. When checking in, I even asked the front desk if the room had been upgraded, and they told me it was already the best room type. However, after enjoying a bath, I went to take a shower and a problem arose – the shower head was barely dripping, like a trickle of tears! I quickly finished my shower and immediately contacted Ctrip's dedicated customer service to complain. Even though it was almost midnight, the Ctrip representative was very helpful in relaying my feedback! Finally, the hotel offered to change our room, but since it was already past midnight, my friend and I just wanted to get some rest, so we declined the offer. Ctrip also informed me that the hotel had apologized. I felt compelled to leave this review to remind the hotel of the importance of routine maintenance checks. The hotel's facilities and room setup were otherwise quite good, but one faulty shower head ruined the entire experience! Let this be a lesson.

The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, and the toiletries were of high quality. All the facilities were new and functional. From arrival to check-in, the service was warm and attentive, with a gentle and patient attitude. The hotel environment was elegant and quiet, and it was very convenient for getting around. This unexpected room upgrade completely enhanced my experience, offering excellent value for money. It's the perfect choice for business trips and vacations, and I'll definitely choose Atour again next time!

A healing retreat house in the vast desert. The scenery is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking sunsets and starry nights all visible. The rooms are clean and comfortable, offering great privacy. The butler service is attentive and meticulous, making for an amazing stay. It's the perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle, a top choice for a desert getaway!
