This hotel is a quick 8-minute drive from the airport and easy to find. I always choose this place when I'm in Amsterdam because it offers great value for money. The hotel environment is lovely, and they even have a retired 747 airplane in the garden! Breakfast is incredibly rich and varied, with everything you could possibly want.

Steigenberger Airport Hotel Amsterdam actually has a whole honeycomb for breakfast! Their breakfast is truly amazing – a honeycomb, grapefruit, freshly made 'jianbing guozi' (a savory Chinese crepe), and the best omelets I've ever had. Definitely lives up to its reputation as a classic German hotel. Oh, and out of the four pillows, one is lavender-filled. It felt lumpy at first, and I thought it was a buckwheat pillow. I slept wonderfully. There were many Chinese and German guests, and a lot of flight attendants were also having breakfast there. There's a forest near the hotel, perfect for morning runs. However, the facilities are a bit old, and the toiletries feel like those in a budget hotel, all 2-in-1. Facilities: Although the room isn't huge, it's fully equipped. I was most pleased to find a kettle and a capsule coffee machine, which are rare in European hotels. Service: The hotel's airport shuttle service is very convenient. You can book it through the front desk and pay 5 euros directly, no tipping required. Breakfast: The variety is excellent, especially the yogurt and fruit section. Environment: The room was very quiet, and despite being close to the airport, I had a great night's sleep.

The airport shuttle is free for registered members, which is a great perk. It runs every half hour to and from the airport, making it very convenient to get around. The room itself is a decent size and even with an extra bed, it's still quite comfortable.

The hotel is a great choice for those looking for a clean, spacious, and safe environment away from the city bustle. It feels very ”family-friendly” and is surrounded by nature, making it a peaceful retreat. However, keep in mind its location if you plan on visiting the city center frequently. Location & Transport 🚌 Proximity: Conveniently located about 10 minutes from the airport. Shuttle: The hotel provides a scheduled shuttle bus to and from the airport with frequent departures. City Access: There is no direct transport to the city center. To get downtown, you must take the shuttle back to the airport and transfer to a train/bus, call a taxi, or take a local bus to a transit point. It can feel a bit isolated if you don't have a car. Parking 🚗 There is ample parking space available, but please note that it costs approximately €20 per day. Room Quality 🛌 The Good: The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Overall, the room quality is very satisfying. The Amenities: A bit minimal. They provide the basics (soap, shampoo, and lotion), but no shower caps or other extra vanity kits. You might want to bring your own. Service & Facilities 🍳 Staff: The front desk team is professional and helpful. Breakfast: A highlight! The breakfast spread is good, and the staff are very attentive—constantly clearing plates and keeping the tables clean. i enjoyed staying here - it was a bit complicated getting here by bus as there are works going on at the schiphol bus terminal - so you will need to logic your way to the right bus stop (google maps does not factor this in, so you will need to find temporary maps from schiphol along the bus stops). when you get to the hotel it is not obvious to view from the bus station either, so again you will need to figure out how to head to the moxy, but the hotel itself from the inside is very modern and fresh looking, everything is clean, the rooms feel very up to date and the bathrooms look bright and newly fitted which is always much preferred to old and worn. there is a lot of space to sit, read, and plan your trip on the ground floor with multiple sofas and desks. once you figure out the bus it is very easy to head back to schiphol airport or to town center from the hotel. the only thing is there is no tea or coffee station in-room, nor water, so everytime you want to boil water for tea or coffee, or even grab a drinking cup, you would have to go to the lobby and sometimes that isn’t practical as that’s also where other hotel guests are and the staff are stationed, and you just want some privacy. maybe they could put water bottles in room daily? or a water kettle? it’s a great hotel for if you are travelling into amsterdam for a short trip and have tight schedules to the airport, such as late night or early morning flights, and you are a younger solo traveller, who wants the privacy of their own room which is a step up from a nice hostel, and doesn’t mind figuring things out a bit as part of the journey

I had a fantastic stay here! The hotel's overall ambiance is elegant and comfortable, and the public areas are meticulously maintained. Its prime location makes getting around a breeze, with convenient transport links whether you're sightseeing or on business. My room was spotless and well-equipped, the bedding was comfy, and it was incredibly quiet at night, ensuring a great night's sleep. The housekeeping was thorough, leaving no corner untouched, which made me feel completely at ease. Breakfast offered a wide variety, with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors, and the service was attentive and thoughtful. Overall, it offers excellent value for money; everything exceeded my expectations. It was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it. I'll definitely choose to stay here again.

I booked a Superior Twin with Sofa bed, but upon check-in, I received a Comfort Twin room. After seeing the room, I informed them that there must be a mistake, but the Receptionist insisted it was correct. I then asked why there was no sofa, and she said this was a Superior Twin without a sofa. The next morning, I asked another staff member what type of room this number was. The staff member confirmed it was a Comfort Twin. So, I took down that staff member's name and called Trip.com, providing them with the name. Shortly after, Trip.com called back, apologized, and immediately refunded the difference between the two room types, approximately 70 Euros. I was very impressed with Trip.com. However, I find it strange that the hotel would do this without fearing legal repercussions. This is intentional deception.

The price is affordable, and overall it's pretty good and clean. However, the hotel doesn't provide toiletries or slippers. So, you'll need to bring your own slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, clothes hangers, and other toiletries! There's a free shuttle bus (a large coach) that goes directly to the hotel from platforms 9-13 at the airport bus terminal. It runs every half hour. The bus will have a red sign on the front that says ”Amedia.”

The hotel staff was very welcoming. They arrived early and let us check in early even though we were very tired. The room was also quite clean. But the transportation is not very convenient, it is very remote, and it takes 12 minutes to walk to the nearest station.
