There was an apricot tree right outside our room, and in the morning, when I opened the door, the sunlight cast the tree's shadow on the mud wall. That quiet and gentle scene still feels so healing when I recall it. It was only a little over 200 yuan a night during the May Day holiday, and although the room facilities were simple, the value for money was truly exceptional. The biggest surprise was the Moshang Horse Ranch next door! It was my first time riding a horse in the desert. The instructor saw I was nervous and thoughtfully held the reins for me the entire time. At first, when my feet left the ground, I was both scared and excited. My butt hurt from the bumpy fast walk, but when we started galloping, I slowly found my rhythm.
