The buffet is better than the hot pot, and the coffee shop unexpectedly has an authentic flavor. The only thing that may need to be improved is that the room facilities are indeed average, but it is not easy to build a resort out of thin air in the desert.

The room we stayed in was not big, and the supplies inside were not worthy of the price. The toiletries were useless and the toilet was very low. The bed in the twin room was small and very uncomfortable to sleep on. Besides the facilities on the island, please don’t stay in an expensive hotel like Lotus in the off-season. There is no advantage. In the first place, various projects are not needed. There is no priority in queuing up. Several times I wanted to ride the bumper cars alone but was refused. They said I would wait until the afternoon show when there were more people and I didn’t need to queue up. 😪 VIPs can’t play by themselves. How about staying in such an expensive hotel in the off-season? What. In the off-season, only sand painting vases are available for you to play with. You have to ask the waiter before they can play with you. They don’t let you play with other potteries. Summary: It’s super, super, super not worth it to stay at Lotus in the off-season. Its advantages can only be realized in the peak season.

Transportation: It takes about 45 minutes to drive from Baotou Station. It is directly connected to the highway and is quite convenient. Check in the luggage at the tourist center, take the cable car and off-road jeep to enter the desert and arrive at the hotel. The transportation on the island is mainly jeeps and sand boats, which are very convenient to go back and forth. Pay attention to the arrangement of the car when leaving the hotel. Online car-hailing is not allowed in the Ordos area. The car booked by the platform may be surrounded by local taxi drivers... Accommodation: The first ring exterior room we stayed in has a good view, an open-air platform (shared by two rooms), and a relatively small bathroom. Because it is a circular building, the rooms at the back have to go around half a circle to get to the restaurant and lobby. It is recommended to take the stairs of the emergency exit nearby and walk through the outdoors. Food: Drinks and mineral water in the leisure bar on the first floor are available at will. The quality of the three meals buffet is good, with a wide variety. You can have beef and mutton every meal, as well as pasta and sushi, and the fruit is very sweet. Hiking and listening to the sound of sand is really a high-investment and high-return project. Climbing the sand peak was too difficult for me. It was more than 80 meters high (as shown in the picture). Two staff members pulled me, but I still knelt on the half slope because my legs were weak... I chose the steepest point and slid down directly (no skateboards allowed). As the speed increased, I could hear a louder and louder roar, very much like an engine. The four game machines in the leisure bar and the sand bottle making activities in the comprehensive activity room were very popular, but there were no conflicts or disputes during the period. This time I booked the outer ring, which is full of deserts, which is not bad. Food: All three meals are included, the quality level is online, especially the small hot pot in the evening. I also paired it with beer. The dishes are comprehensive. A little suggestion, you can get a coffee machine to grind coffee for breakfast. That pot of instant coffee is a bit out of place. Key points to play: Outside the hotel, only Xiansha Island is open in the off-season. It’s a bit regrettable that you can’t play in the water, but for children, sand and water have the same status.
