This is a gorgeous hotel that is centrally-located inside the ancient city with great service. It’s like living in a museum!
The hotel is housed in a thoughtfully renovated ancient college with a beautiful courtyard for chatting, eating, and chilling. The rooms are large, clean, and quiet. I really enjoyed the traditional mat style bed.
The hotel is a short walk away from the bustling Main Street. It was very convenient to walk to most attractions inside the walled City. The hotel owner also arranged free transport to take me to the high speed rail station.
The service was wonderful. No complaints!
If you’re staying here, I recommend checking out not just the ancient walled city but also the ancient temples in the area.
I would stay here again without hesitation.

Great location, close to all sight seeing spots, good breakfast, free pickup to and from railway station. It would be good if price can be cheaper. Recommended.

What a fabulous hotel! Excellent, helpful staff who went the extra mile to help reschedule and organise transfer, beautiful courtyard and rooms, great location inside the city walls, delicious breakfast and heaps of bottled water - could not have asked for more!

Returning to Beijing from Xi'an, we stopped in the ancient city of Pingyao and took the elderly to have a rest. Unexpected surprise, great experience, the front desk service was very considerate: they turned on the floor heating in advance and changed the room for the elderly. The inn has a good location, good environment, warm and clean. The breakfast is exquisite, rich and delicious!
