Room was well renovated, owner super friendly and very accommodating, we asked for more water, toilet paper, different type of breakfast etc all happy to oblige. 10 minutes walk to light show, 10m walk to center of ancient city where most of the historical sites were. 10m walk to outside where the best food is..DO NOT eat inside the old city, food outside much better. Owner also arranged for car to take us to Wang Family compound and Shuanglian temple at much better price than I could find anywhere online. and private transfer to/from train station as well. Very happy I booked to stay at this location. Breakfast was EXCELLENT"

"The hotel is well located in the Ancient city of Pingyao, close to the north entrance. People in the hotel were very helpful and kind. Someone from the hotel picked us up and that helped us a lot. For the next day, we visited the two Temples close to the ciry, which was absolutely amazing. Both temples conserve very old sculpures, unique and the arquitecture is original. It was a great experience. The hotel helped us with the organization of both vistis. I definately recommend to visit Pingyao and I recommend also the accommodation."

"The room facilities were good, and the cleanliness was well maintained. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Pingyao Ancient City's pedestrian street, but it's not far at all, just a 5-minute walk. The service was a mixed bag. On the positive side, requests were responded to quickly after check-in. However, there's room for improvement regarding the pickup service. Since private vehicles aren't allowed inside Pingyao Ancient City, our hired car dropped us off at a certain gate. I called the hotel front desk in advance to inform them, but they told me I needed to go to a different gate to be picked up. I found this baffling. As tourists, we don't know which gate is closer to the hotel. And it's odd that as guests, we weren't picked up at our specified gate; instead, the hotel required us to go to a designated gate for pickup. It made me wonder, who is serving whom?"

"The hotel is very new, located next to the Pingyao Hotel, with excellent facilities and outstanding service. The two young ladies were incredibly warm and attentive, providing a delicious breakfast. They even made pancakes for us because they knew we didn't like steamed buns – thank you! Dinner was also very much to our liking! They offered pick-up and drop-off at the high-speed rail station and upgraded our room. It's just a few minutes' walk from the West Gate of the Ancient City and right next to the "Encounter Pingyao" Theater, making it more convenient for getting around than inside the Ancient City. Due to time constraints, we didn't get to experience the afternoon tea, the intangible cultural heritage rubbing experience, or the free guided tour of the Ancient City's highlights. We'll definitely come back next time!"

Although it’s a small property with only about 6–8 rooms, everything about it feels thoughtfully done and beautifully presented. The hotel is newly renovated, with tasteful decorations that blend traditional character with a fresh, comfortable atmosphere. What impressed me the most was the owner. He is incredibly friendly, warm, and genuinely helpful, his service goes far beyond expectations. From the moment I arrived, I felt well taken care of, and his sincerity really made the stay special. Location is superb! The room was spotless, one of the cleanest I’ve experienced. I actually walked around and looked at a few other motels in Pingyao, and I can confidently say this one stands out as the best in terms of cleanliness, comfort, and overall quality. On top of all that, the price is very reasonable for what you get. It’s rare to find a place that offers such great value together with such heartfelt hospitality. Highly, highly recommended , I would definitely stay here again."

The owner is very attentive and will contact you in advance to use his electric wheelchair to help transport luggage and guests to the hotel from the west gate of the ancient city. He also provides discount coupons. The hotel itself is a renovated building in an old building, which has a very old feel."
