GGuest UserWe had the best stay at Elswhwere Hotel West Gate. The building is restored it the nicest way really gives you the feeling of timetravel. The people working in the hotel, were carrying and welcoming. They explained us how to navigate the city, helped us buy tickets for the city sights, recommend restaurants and we even got a room upgrade and lovely gifts to take home and remember our time in Pingyao.
The bed was so comfortable and we had the best sleep. Can recommend this hotel full heartedly. Would definitely come back! Thank you Helen and Fenny for making our stay so memorable.

The hotel is convenient to go anywhere next to the ancient city. There are snack streets next to various restaurants to eat. The hotel service staff are also good. Everything is in place. Give me a good experience, and then Pingyao will live in his house! ! !

HHirao KenIâm honestly speechless! The host upgraded me to a suite without me even askingâit was such an incredible gesture. He speaks enough English to help with anything you need and is genuinely one of the kindest people I've met. Both he and his son even ran out to the street to catch me when they saw I was walking in the wrong direction! They truly have hearts of gold.
As for the stay, everything was spotless. The bathroom has a seated toilet and the shower has great pressure and hot water. Even though Pingyao was close to zero degrees, I stayed perfectly warm. Also, this is easily the most exotic and beautiful hostel Iâve ever stayed in. The interior design is just stunning!

GGuest UserWe had such a lovely stay here and truly felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The hotel is owned by a husband and wife, the husband kindly picked us up from the train station and later dropped us back, which made our travel so much easier and stress-free. The wife checked us in warmly and looked after us throughout our stay, always making sure we were comfortable. Her English was very good, and she gave us fantastic recommendations.
The homemade breakfast she prepared for us the next morning was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel like guests in their home rather than just customers at a hotel. Their kindness and genuine hospitality really stood out.
The room was modern and very clean, and the hotel itself is so picturesque! Staying here made our experience in Pingyao incredibly memorable. Weâre very grateful for how well they looked after us and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

GGuest UserThe hotel is really close to the ancient city, which makes getting around super easy. The breakfast was good, and everything tasted delicious! It's great value for money, and the facilities are excellent. I really liked the decor too. The service was very patient and helpful. They even have their own parking lot, and you can rent traditional Jin merchant clothing for free. The bedding was so comfortable, and it was really quiet. I definitely recommend staying here! Perfect!

TTigerThe hotel staff provide outstanding customer service, and I especially want to highlight Ana â she is amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful, but my room felt old and was not as clean as it should have been. I was also very disappointed that a western breakfast was not provided. Since I was the only guest in the room, it would only require one portion, and I believe a western breakfast should be included free of charge. I hope the hotel can improve in these areas to better match the excellent service of the staff.

GGuest UserThe environment is pretty good and quite unique. It's right next to Xidajie, offering a peaceful retreat despite being in a lively area. The best part is that it's perfect for ladies who love taking photos, as it's very close to 'Ancient Style Travel Photography.' After one photoshoot, you can easily go back to the hotel and take more photos yourself in its antique setting. The hotel provides disposable bath towels and face towels, which is great! No need to worry about forgetting to bring your own!

GGuest UserThis trip to Pingyao, I am very honored to choose the glory homestay. Although it is outside the ancient city, it is super convenient to travel. It takes only a minute to walk to the entrance of the ancient city, and it also avoids the trouble of traffic control in the ancient city. The room was clean and warm, the bedding was soft, and I fell asleep as soon as I touched the pillow at night. The owner of the homestay is a retired veteran of 20 years. The service is super enthusiastic. Not only does he help plan the route, but also recommends many small shops that locals often go to. The price is very favorable and only tens of dollars, which is really good value for money. I especially recommend everyone to stay and experience

GGuest UserThe inn's front desk staff were polite and enthusiastic, and the room was quite comfortable. It's an ancient and elegant place with a traditional multi-courtyard layout. Many celebrities have stayed here, making it comparable to the Qiao Family Courtyard â a truly popular 'influencer hotel.' The location is also excellent, right on the main street inside the scenic area. I highly recommend it to friends. The 'young mistress' at the entrance takes photos; I suggest getting the 'handsome' makeup look for your shoot â you'll get some amazing life photos!
