GGuest UserWe had the best stay at Elswhwere Hotel West Gate. The building is restored it the nicest way really gives you the feeling of timetravel. The people working in the hotel, were carrying and welcoming. They explained us how to navigate the city, helped us buy tickets for the city sights, recommend restaurants and we even got a room upgrade and lovely gifts to take home and remember our time in Pingyao.
The bed was so comfortable and we had the best sleep. Can recommend this hotel full heartedly. Would definitely come back! Thank you Helen and Fenny for making our stay so memorable.

MM445315****Come to Pingyao to play, it is estimated that this is a newly opened hotel. The environment facilities have nothing to say. It is very clean and spacious. The hotel is convenient to go anywhere next to the ancient city. There are snack streets next to various restaurants to eat. The hotel service staff are also good. Everything is in place. Give me a good experience, and then Pingyao will live in his house! ! !

HHirao KenI’m honestly speechless! The host upgraded me to a suite without me even asking—it was such an incredible gesture. He speaks enough English to help with anything you need and is genuinely one of the kindest people I've met. Both he and his son even ran out to the street to catch me when they saw I was walking in the wrong direction! They truly have hearts of gold.
As for the stay, everything was spotless. The bathroom has a seated toilet and the shower has great pressure and hot water. Even though Pingyao was close to zero degrees, I stayed perfectly warm. Also, this is easily the most exotic and beautiful hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The interior design is just stunning!

GGuest UserThe hotel's service and cleanliness were absolutely top-notch! We were traveling with two young children, so we pushed the twin beds together. This is the first time I've ever stayed at a hotel where they even cleaned *under* the beds – it was incredibly impressive! I genuinely recommend this place; the price is also very reasonable. The attention to detail is fantastic! Other areas are just as good, no need to even mention them. As soon as we got out of the car, the security guard helped us with our luggage, which was great service. The price was acceptable, the room was clean, and they even gave us a complimentary snack package. The gym and self-service laundry room on the fourth floor were also excellent.

WW.wfacaiPingyao Taotang Yaju Cloud Retreat was an amazing experience! The location is perfect, right inside the ancient city scenic area. It's peaceful yet conveniently close to all the attractions. The courtyard is charming and historic, with an elegant and clean environment. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the bedding was soft, and all the toiletries were provided. The owner was incredibly warm and thoughtful; they offered pick-up/drop-off services and gave us excellent recommendations for exploring. The service was attentive and heartwarming. Overall, it's great value for money, quiet, and has a wonderful atmosphere. We had a very comfortable stay. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Pingyao!

TTanluzheWsI am from Shanxi, and this time I went home to bring my father-in-law, mother-in-law and relatives from other places to visit. The boss is a local and very nice. It is his own inn, and the photos taken are very good, which can fully satisfy everyone's fantasy about Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture. Great 👍. The first photo is inside the inn.

GGuest UserThis trip to Pingyao, I am very honored to choose the glory homestay. Although it is outside the ancient city, it is super convenient to travel. It takes only a minute to walk to the entrance of the ancient city, and it also avoids the trouble of traffic control in the ancient city. The room was clean and warm, the bedding was soft, and I fell asleep as soon as I touched the pillow at night. The owner of the homestay is a retired veteran of 20 years. The service is super enthusiastic. Not only does he help plan the route, but also recommends many small shops that locals often go to. The price is very favorable and only tens of dollars, which is really good value for money. I especially recommend everyone to stay and experience

GGuest UserThis ancient courtyard, dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, has a charming, old-world feel, as if you've stepped back in time. The front desk staff, especially the young lady, was incredibly warm and attentive, even giving us discount vouchers for a local restaurant. I got to do my favorite Jin merchant-style travel photoshoot right here in the courtyard, and the photos turned out amazing – truly a fantastic experience! The night view was also incredibly beautiful, with red lanterns creating a wonderful ambiance. It was a very satisfying stay, truly a feast of culture and history.

GGuest UserA very unique courtyard B&B inn. The rooms are clean, tidy and antique. The inn is located on the West Street of the Old City. It is right on the pedestrian street. It is very close to the Rishengchang Bank and the county government. The boss is very enthusiastic and the service is very good. I will give you a tip in advance. We sent location navigation and helped us pick up and drop off our luggage from the parking lot 🅿️. They introduced the ancient city travel suggestions in detail and arranged an ancient city guide for us to have an in-depth understanding of Pingyao’s historical and cultural heritage. It was great [strong][strong ] [Strong] When checking out, the boss also gave me a souvenir from the ancient city - aged vinegar, which is very nice and worth recommending [Strong] [Strong] [Strong]

GGuest UserWe had such a lovely stay here and truly felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The hotel is owned by a husband and wife, the husband kindly picked us up from the train station and later dropped us back, which made our travel so much easier and stress-free. The wife checked us in warmly and looked after us throughout our stay, always making sure we were comfortable. Her English was very good, and she gave us fantastic recommendations.
The homemade breakfast she prepared for us the next morning was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel like guests in their home rather than just customers at a hotel. Their kindness and genuine hospitality really stood out.
The room was modern and very clean, and the hotel itself is so picturesque! Staying here made our experience in Pingyao incredibly memorable. We’re very grateful for how well they looked after us and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!
