"This inn is located right inside Pingyao Ancient City, offering a fantastic location. It's a short walk to the pedestrian street, and all the attractions are easily accessible.
I didn't want to sleep on a Kang bed, and thankfully, they have all sorts of room types – king beds and twin beds. I booked the most expensive twin room, which was spacious and cost a little over 300 yuan. I thought it was quite good value for money.
The building itself is a historical structure, with a clear sense of age. The owner mentioned they couldn't make too many major alterations, but the interior facilities are excellent. In the evenings, with the big red lanterns lit in the courtyard, it felt very cinematic.
The owner's service was enthusiastic, and the high-speed train pickup/drop-off was also very well organized!
When we checked out, they even gave us a bottle of aged Shanxi vinegar as a gift!"

"I stayed at the Tingbo Hotel, and the location is absolutely fantastic, right at the entrance of the scenic area. You can step out and start exploring immediately, which is incredibly convenient. The room was spotless, so clean you could see your reflection, and the bed was super soft – I woke up feeling completely refreshed. The front desk staff were wonderful, always patiently answering my questions, truly thoughtful. I especially loved the hotel's decor style; it's very unique. Every corner is meticulously arranged and looks amazing in photos. Plus, the hotel service was excellent; it was such a pleasant stay. The value for money at this hotel is incredible. The price wasn't expensive, but the service and facilities were outstanding. It felt like a great deal. The hotel is clean, and its location near the north gate of the ancient city means you can walk everywhere, which is very convenient. I'll definitely come back next time."

Ralph WilliamsonThis is a very charming traditional courtyard hotel. The room was very clean and had good facilities. Traditional Chinese breakfast was served in the courtyard, which was very nice. The owners are lovely and very friendly and helpful and provided detailed information on the town. They provided a pick up from the station, which is really nice. It's very peaceful and quite and I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend staying here.

This guesthouse is located right inside Pingyao Ancient City, and you can see the bustling main street just by turning right out the door – super convenient! The courtyard is designed in the traditional Shanxi folk style, and they even have several vats of their own homemade wine and various flavored vinegars for guests to sample. The rooms are well-equipped, clean, and comfortable. They offer pick-up and drop-off service from the parking lot outside the ancient city for both check-in and check-out. The young lady at the front desk even gave us tour recommendations, which was very thoughtful and detailed. The young man working at the guesthouse helped us with our luggage throughout our stay, and we even received a parting gift when we checked out. Highly recommended!

During the Chinese New Year, I decided to visit the renowned Pingyao Ancient City and carefully chose the Yushe Boutique Hotel. The day before our arrival, someone from the hotel contacted us to offer a pick-up service and even sent us a detailed list of suggestions for exploring the ancient city – truly thoughtful! The owner's sister, who picked us up, meticulously introduced us to the history of the ancient city and current conditions over the next two days. Upon arrival, the owner's brother was equally thorough, demonstrating the diligent character typical of Shanxi people! Our family of four's room was impeccable in terms of space, cleanliness, and bedding. Later, chatting with the owner, I learned they operate with the quality standards of Atour Hotels, which explained why the sleep was so comfortable.
One evening, the water pressure for the kids' shower was a bit low. The next morning, I spoke to the owner's brother, who explained it was due to the high volume of tourists in the ancient city causing low water pressure. They later installed a booster pump and resolved the issue!
Finally, before leaving, we bought some wine and vinegar from the owner after tasting them all – they were delicious. And to top it off, the owner kindly drove us to the train station! Many, many thanks!
Five-star recommendation, a hotel with integrity and quality.

A lovely traditional courtyard hotel with lots of character right in the heart of the old city within walking distance to everything you would want to see. The owner speaks good English and provides you with a map and details of beautiful Pingyao’s must see local attractions. The hotel is quiet and the Chinese breakfasts with either tea or coffee are delicious. The owner can also organise a good driver for any out of town excursions. Highly recommended

Very good experience. The owners are friendly and provide pick up at the gate entrance. Pretty courtyard and the owners shared a lot of information on where to eat / shop at. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse to those wanting to visit Pingyao.

I have been to Pingyao several times. This time I brought the kids with me. This time I had to stay in an inn on the main street. It was very easy to find. I used to live in a small alley where there were no street lights at night. This inn was too close to the next gate. After parking the car, it only took a few minutes to get there. The owner was also very talkative. He introduced us the itinerary for the ancient city and helped us avoid many pitfalls. The room is well-arranged, very clean and has direct drinking water. There is a travel photography shop above the store, which is also owned by his family. He gave a great discount. I will stay at his house next time. I wish the boss a prosperous business!

CS@LLocation, value for money and hotel services unbelievable. I am so glad that i stay at this hotel after search many good and great hotel. The hotel go extra miles provide pick up and drop off from train station as this service not listed(only airport but not train station). The ambiance of the hotel the moment i step in until i at the room is just amazing which is exactly same like watching C drama Wuxia. The courtyard building is listed as historical site and the entire premises and the room truly transform & bring me back to the past. Location great within walking distance to west avenue pingyao ancient city and surrounding nearby easily can get local foods. I posted some pictures hope is helpful. Highly recommend stay at this courtyard.

Guest UserPingyao Yundingxuan truly exceeded our expectations! This ancient courtyard, a former Shanxi merchant's residence, has an incredible atmosphere, perfect for amazing photos. The location is superb, right on West Street in the heart of the old town, within walking distance of 'Impression Pingyao' and all major attractions – super convenient for sightseeing and dining.
The hotel offers free pickup and drop-off at the city gate, helps with luggage, and provides thoughtful and attentive service. They patiently explained sightseeing routes and even assisted with discounted bookings for 'Impression Pingyao' tickets, saving us time and effort.
The rooms are clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding. The courtyard is quiet and tranquil, making it a very reassuring stay for both elderly guests and children. The amenities are comprehensive, and the breakfast is authentic. It offers incredible value for money. It's definitely the top choice for family trips to Pingyao. Highly recommended; we'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Pingyao.

A wonderful inn nestled in a tranquil location amidst the bustle of the city. From the initial pick-up and parking arrangements to the final departure, there was not a single unpleasant experience; they were incredibly attentive, helpful, and meticulous. The inn is elegant, clean, and tidy. The staff are friendly, patient, and responsive. The aroma of freshly baked bread fills the air daily, and the Chinese and Western breakfasts are cooked to order. While the variety isn't extensive, every bite is satisfying, especially the bowl of beef noodles, which is incredibly good! The room's simple and elegant decor perfectly reflects the ancient city's style. No matter how exhausted you are from exploring, returning to the courtyard provides a truly relaxing and tranquil experience. Overall, it was a truly wonderful two-day stay. I'd especially like to thank Ms. Dong Yanxia (I think that's her name) for her patient, meticulous, and attentive service, which has left me and my family with wonderful memories of this holiday!
