The ZiJingGe was recently opened in 2023, making it a fantastic choice for those staying in Pingyao County. The hotel offers easy access to Pingyao Railway Station, just 3km away. Guests will find Pingyao Ancient City Wall, Pingyao Confucian Temple and Emperor Guan Temple just a short distance from the hotel. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. If you demand a high level of service, our guests have indicated that this hotel has excellent standards. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.
"This inn is located right inside Pingyao Ancient City, offering a fantastic location. It's a short walk to the pedestrian street, and all the attractions are easily accessible.
I didn't want to sleep on a Kang bed, and thankfully, they have all sorts of room types – king beds and twin beds. I booked the most expensive twin room, which was spacious and cost a little over 300 yuan. I thought it was quite good value for money.
The building itself is a historical structure, with a clear sense of age. The owner mentioned they couldn't make too many major alterations, but the interior facilities are excellent. In the evenings, with the big red lanterns lit in the courtyard, it felt very cinematic.
The owner's service was enthusiastic, and the high-speed train pickup/drop-off was also very well organized!
When we checked out, they even gave us a bottle of aged Shanxi vinegar as a gift!"

"I stayed at the Tingbo Hotel, and the location is absolutely fantastic, right at the entrance of the scenic area. You can step out and start exploring immediately, which is incredibly convenient. The room was spotless, so clean you could see your reflection, and the bed was super soft – I woke up feeling completely refreshed. The front desk staff were wonderful, always patiently answering my questions, truly thoughtful. I especially loved the hotel's decor style; it's very unique. Every corner is meticulously arranged and looks amazing in photos. Plus, the hotel service was excellent; it was such a pleasant stay. The value for money at this hotel is incredible. The price wasn't expensive, but the service and facilities were outstanding. It felt like a great deal. The hotel is clean, and its location near the north gate of the ancient city means you can walk everywhere, which is very convenient. I'll definitely come back next time."

The rooms are spotlessly clean, the a**osphere in the courtyard is beautiful. The owner, Harry, speaks good English and is very helpful in explaining the best spots to see in Pingyao. RRichard GrimmerWe had a amazing time staying at this hotel. It's in an ancient house over 200 years old and it's absolutely beautiful. Like walking into a museum but still with all the facilities. It's in a brilliant location in the old city. Easy to walk to. We were picked up from the high-speed train station and taken about the 20 minutes to the outside of the the city and our cases were brought in on the electric trolley. We were given a good welcome with a map to explain where everything was and some recommendations for restaurants. Breakfast was was tasty with local produce and he shared some of his vinegar with us as well. It was all good, a comfy bed, air conditioning shower was good and the staff were really well. Welcoming and friendly. Very small but but pleasant stay.

The hotel is a guesthouse converted from the owner's own home, located right in the heart of the ancient city, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The recommended itinerary was also excellent.
The room environment was exactly as pictured – what you see is what you get.
Booking 'Again Pingyao' through the hotel offered a nice little discount, which was a great deal. 'Again Pingyao' itself is absolutely beautiful and highly recommended! I suggest experiencing it without any spoilers from social media to get a more immersive feel.
The hotel's hygiene was also top-notch; everything felt new, and it had an automatic toilet and good lighting. I would definitely want to stay here again on my next visit.

The owner speaks good English and provides you with a map and details of beautiful Pingyao’s must see local attractions. The hotel is quiet and the Chinese breakfasts with either tea or coffee are delicious. The owner can also organise a good driver for any out of town excursions. Highly recommended

GGuest UserI specially rushed to travel during the off-peak period after the Spring Festival to take the dog out for fun. After booking the room, I added WeChat with the landlady. She thoughtfully sent us the navigation location and a long route to get there. She also helped us book a drama to see Pingyao again. We called her the day before departure. I also contacted the hotel. I felt it was very reliable before going. They arranged to pick us up on the day. Because we were not familiar with it, we needed someone to guide us. However, the location of the inn is very close to the navigation gate and it is very dog-friendly! Very considerate. You can adjust the temperature of the central air conditioner in the room. It is hygienic and clean. The location of the accommodation is very close to South Street and relatively quiet. Because there are not many guests traveling during off-peak hours, we were upgraded to a room type for free. We got a sticker and drew the location. , independent wifi in the room, free access to mineral water, the store staff is really nice! The dog friends who recommended it to me hope that they will all come and check in with their dogs, haha! Almost everything I asked for was answered. Before I left, I said that there was really no need to send us away. It was very close, but the boss lady still asked us to send us away in the scenic spot car. I hope the business is prosperous and the store is caring!

GGuest UserI have been to Pingyao several times. This time I brought the kids with me. This time I had to stay in an inn on the main street. It was very easy to find. I used to live in a small alley where there were no street lights at night. This inn was too close to the next gate. After parking the car, it only took a few minutes to get there. The owner was also very talkative. He introduced us the itinerary for the ancient city and helped us avoid many pitfalls. The room is well-arranged, very clean and has direct drinking water. There is a travel photography shop above the store, which is also owned by his family. He gave a great discount. I will stay at his house next time. I wish the boss a prosperous business!

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right on the edge of the central district, and it's well-lit around the hotel, so you don't have to worry about walking in the dark at night. Both the room and the bathroom have heating, and the water heater is very powerful, so you won't have to worry about zero-degree weather. The toilets are smart toilets, and the heated seats are incredibly addictive in winter. Plus, the hotel courtyard is very picturesque for photos.
The service was truly excellent. When we arrived, they helped carry our luggage up to our room, and when we left, they even drove us to the city gate.
The hotel also provided two discount vouchers for local restaurants, both highly recommended online, and we enjoyed some great food and drinks there.

GGuest UserPingyao Yundingxuan truly exceeded our expectations! This ancient courtyard, a former Shanxi merchant's residence, has an incredible atmosphere, perfect for amazing photos. The location is superb, right on West Street in the heart of the old town, within walking distance of 'Impression Pingyao' and all major attractions – super convenient for sightseeing and dining.
The hotel offers free pickup and drop-off at the city gate, helps with luggage, and provides thoughtful and attentive service. They patiently explained sightseeing routes and even assisted with discounted bookings for 'Impression Pingyao' tickets, saving us time and effort.
The rooms are clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding. The courtyard is quiet and tranquil, making it a very reassuring stay for both elderly guests and children. The amenities are comprehensive, and the breakfast is authentic. It offers incredible value for money. It's definitely the top choice for family trips to Pingyao. Highly recommended; we'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Pingyao.
