The most satisfying thing about this trip to Pingyao is Qichen B&B, which must be five-star praise! The hygiene completely exceeded expectations. The room was clean as soon as I entered the door. The bedding and bathroom were spotless. The details were in place. The bed was very large. It could accommodate 4 people. It was quiet and comfortable. There were welcome fruits. The washing machine was very clean. The boss provided laundry detergent. The boss is very kind and caring, communicate in advance the time to the station, take the initiative to drive to pick up, and send the station for free after the game, without tossing your luggage. I will also patiently explain the route of the ancient city, recommend local authentic snacks, and give a complete guide to avoid the pit. I also rode the boss's electric car, The small courtyard is quiet and has a sense of ancient city atmosphere, and there are two cute kittens. The boss also sent a souvenir. The service is intimate and real. The price is full. I will stay here in Pingyao next time!

The best experience in China! Perfect for family travelI traveled with my mother and my son, and this hotel made our trip to Pingyao truly unforgettable. It is the perfect place to live and feel what ancient China was like, but with all the modern comforts.The service is exceptional: they picked us up for free from the train station and, upon arrival, gave us a detailed breakdown of the tourist attractions using a map. As if that weren't enough, they gave us a free upgrade to a much more expensive room without charging us anything extra. It was an incredibly generous gesture.The hotel is extremely clean, the bedsheets are an absolute dream to rest on, and the air conditioning works wonderfully (which is vital when traveling with children and seniors). Additionally, they rented us an electric scooter at a super affordable price, which allowed us to explore the city with total comfort. It has a genuinely cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. We recommend it 100% for families!

I highly recommend this guesthouse in Pingyao Ancient City! Its location is excellent, right in the heart of the ancient city, making it super convenient for dining and sightseeing. The owner is simply amazing! ✅ They even gave me authentic Shanxi aged vinegar when I checked out, which was a really thoughtful local touch. ✅ I accidentally left an item in the room, and the owner helped me find it and express-shipped it back to me. Definitely a 'hidden gem' of an owner! With such integrity and kindness, their business is bound to thrive! I recommend everyone to stay here.

The inn is a historical building. The two-in-one courtyard is just behind the Majia compound. We are busy taking pictures as soon as we arrive. We live in ”childish”. Although there is no separation of dry and wet, we love it. It is sunny. In the morning, we see the sun and wine. It is very energetic. The boss is a young guy, the people are very good, because the old-fashioned lock is necessary to go out, others can not enter the house, so they trouble the boss to send supplies in the cabin, go back to get it at night. The homestay originally only had one pick-up or delivery service, and then the boss also picked up and sent it. Also help with the management. Great. I wish you a prosperous business!

We had such a lovely experience at Zhengjia Inn! It was a little hard to find initially but the location is exceptional, right in the heart of the ancient city of Pingyao. There was no one on reception when we arrived but we managed to call through the Trip.com app and they came out right away to help us check in. The hotel is gorgeous with a very traditional style, a lovely sunny courtyard and big rooms. The best part of our stay here was the hospitality of the family who run this hotel. They were so kind and generous! They annotated a map for us to show us where to go and how to get there, they made us a Western style breakfast in the morning and let us eat in their own home, and they very kindly drove us to the train station when we had to leave the next day. They were very friendly, kind and patient with us as we don't speak Mandarin. The bed was quite hard because it is a very thin mattress on top of wood so it might not suit people with bad backs, but it was fine for us! We would highly recommend this hotel!

Very good experience. The owners are friendly and provide pick up at the gate entrance. Pretty courtyard and the owners shared a lot of information on where to eat / shop at. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse to those wanting to visit Pingyao.

Very satisfied with this stay! The room is clean and comfortable, the layout is very warm, the facilities are complete and modern, especially the bedding is soft and sleeps very well. The surrounding transportation is convenient, and the nearby food supermarket is all available. The landlord was warm and thoughtful, responded quickly to the message, and solved the problem immediately. The price is super high.

Located right at the entrance to the old town, this hotel is a little gem. The staff is very friendly and upgraded our room. The room has everything you need. The shower was very good, with hot water and a good flow. The breakfast served at the restaurant next door was good!

The host were nice and friendly. They speak no English but they use and app for basic translations. The room is good value for money. Modern and clean, with good architectural finishes. They don't provide towels, shampoo and so. No air conditioner either, thou I asked for a fan and they gave it to me and it was perfect like that. Location wasn't so easy to find, the access road can be either dusty or muddy depending on the weather. It's about 15 minutes walk to the north gate of ancient Pingyao city wall. I would recommend specially to couples as it's the same price as for solo travellers. (I guess the price is per room) They didn't ask for a deposit as written in their policies, which is a plus. I attach a plan explaining how to best get there. Recommended.

We chose the most basic room, and honestly, the price is unbeatable. However, we found the bed to be very hard and there were no towels for the shower, only for the sink. But we assume that for the cheap price we paid, you can't ask for more. We believe that we probably wouldn't have had this problem in the superior rooms. The staff was pleasant and the hotel's location is good.
