Spring Hotel Bitacora

Stayed on 2nd floor with pool view. Large room with twin beds kept clean and had good aircon. Very basic no tea/coffee facilities but soap and shower gel provided. Decoration could do with more colour to brighten it up. Food: Buffet good selection and nicely presented Pools: Good area with a pool for toddlers and a separate adults only pool and area. A bit noisy at times but no rush for sun beds, but hotel not full during my stay. Bars: Good service but didn't like pre mixed cocktails dispensed by a machine. Service: I found all staff were polite and friendly. Wi-Fi: Good in reception area but to get consistent service in rooms you need to down load the Spring app.

Nice hotel, excellent location and clean / spacious rooms, pool areas lovely. We also upgraded to UP one of the days which was a fantastic experience with stunning views, highly recommend that. However the kitchen staff could do with a lesson in customer service, one of the ladies in particular who thought it was acceptable to shout at me so a good 5/6 tables around me were all gawping and staring.. we were full board, although never ate there for dinner / tea - basically I made a bacon sandwich for breakfast on the last day, didn’t get there until 9:40 & breakfast closed at 10:00, I couldn’t finish the sandwich as still fell slightly sick (from the alcohol the night before, my own fault I know lol ) so wrapped the remaining 3/4 of the sandwich up to eat hopefully in an hour or so when I might have come round, the member of staff walked up to our area, shouted at me from a few tables away, so everyone heard & was looking at me - I was spoken to like I was some sort of criminal and made to feel humiliated, I didn’t get the lady’s name as just wanted to get out of the resteraunt, but quite frankly I find it appalling that customer staff feel it is okay to make guests feel humiliated like that, fair enough if she had come up to me quietly and said I’m really sorry food isn’t allowed to be taken out of the resteraunt I completely understand that but the way I was patronised and spoken to like a child has really disappointed me. - I would suggest a refresher course in customer service as noticed a lot of the reviews mention the rudeness off certain staff

Overall our family of 8 had a lovely time. The hotel itself was lovely, spacious and the events team was a big hit. Always something going on. Waterpolo was great fun and we had the whole family involved and was quite competitive. Evening entertainment was fine. I wasn’t expecting west end musicals. Kids and adults seemed engaged. Food was incredible, with lots on offer. Location was great. Rooms were very bland and nothing like the brochure photos. Again, no big deal but they could jazz them up a little. I was highly disappointed with the pool bar. It was extremely hot and the ice cream machine was constantly broken. They might manage to do one or two and then I kept being told come back in 10mins. I can see that you have responded saying that it wasn’t broken in a previous review but I can 10000% say it was 9/10 broken. No ice lollies or alternatives. They do have a slush machine which constantly works but you get sick of those after a few days. The bar staff can be very rude. Yes you may be proud of them but when people are paying a lot of money to stay in your hotel they should be more warming. I would say there was one lady who was polite but the rest were pretty grumpy. Thought the hairdressers there was very overpriced. Both my daughters had French plates which cost me 90 euros. Kids loves the football pitch. It’s just a shame it’s right around the back of the hotel. I didn’t want to leave my kids go alone so I had to go with them each time but there were plenty of parents that let their children venture off alone so it depends on how you parent. Maids were always up and ready to clean rooms which was nice to see. You have to leave a deposit for towels which I’ve never known but no big deal. Sunbed wars wasn’t too bad. Yes they do get full. Depends if you want to be the person getting up at silly o’clock to reserve. I think each family should be guaranteed at least 2 sunbeds. Not each family member sits on them at the same time anyway.

Fantastic hotel! Lovely & clean . Helpful &welcoming staff, from start to finish we had a fantastic holiday! The breakfast buffet was impressive! The hotel is huge with plenty to offer and in a great central spot. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning.

Not really one to write a review, but I found the staff at the pool bar pretty rude, constantly shouting at adults and kids for being wet. It's a pool bar! The ice cream machine wouldn't work and no alternative for kids. No ice cream cones which you always get at other hotels. Was told the kids aren't allowed to play in the park past 8pm. The entertainment was grim! The indoor bar doesn't open to 4pm, so you have to go outside to the pool bar which is always busy just for a soft drink! The hotel was nice inside and the room was good! Food was enjoyable! Grumpy bar staff let the hotel down. Stayed at cheaper hotel which have a happier atmosphere for kids.

Little to fault with this hotel, food and drink lovely, pool area very nice, brilliant location. Very drcent entertainment what we saw. Everywhere spotless. Room huge but lacked any glamour, horrible view to the side. Bed incredibly comfy.

This is a lovely hotel. I think this because there is lots of things to do like go in the pool or go in the same and infinity pool bit they are adults only.There are plenty of other things to do there is even a spar in this hotet this is perfect for people who want to relax and enjoy a holiday. The food is also very good as there is a screen to Oder your food on and the food is very nice and the bar staff are aswell but the hotels management is not very good. This is because there is a lot of mistakes and and thing the managers won’t look into some of it. This is very good for both adults and children as there adults only pools and there are water slides for the kids

Everything was wery good i love this hotel. You can relax and your children can play all day and nigth. Food was wery good, different food every day. Clean rooms and beds soft. Big pilows. Kids love all the swimingpools and all the activity. staff pleasant and kind to the children. always playing with them.

There are not enough sunbeds at this hotel for the amount of guests there are , it’s crazy! We are a group of 10 but only get sunbeds for the 6 adults but in order to do that we have to join the sunbed que at about 7am as they don’t open the pool area until 8am and already by 7 the que is huge. Ok , I know it’s the same at most hotels (except you always find a sunbed at others cos there are enough - we usually find some at other hotels and find an area to put them all together so we don’t have to get up early) The worst part is that they come and take your towels off the sunbeds when you’re eating breakfast if someone isn’t there !!! So now not only do we have to que from 7am , we now can’t all eat breakfast together because we have to “guard” the sunbed to makesure they don’t remove our property!! I have seen this happen a few times and lots of arguments around the pool - “ you’ve taken our sunbeds” because the next person took an empty sunbed thinking it was free. We upgraded to the “up” but didn’t realise it was adults only so bit of a waste really as we can’t take the children up there but that’s probably our fault for not reading up on it.
