La Galeria Hotel by Bunik

The hotel cancelled my reservation a couple weeks before arrival. I was forced to rebook at double the price, because other rooms in the area were no longer available. The hotel refused to honor the original price and blamed *********** (*********** told me that the hotel cancelled the reservation). The shower wall was broken and needed repair, with parts left in the shower. There was no hot water in the shower or sink. The TV had no audio output (when muted and not muted). Some of the furniture was seriously worn-out/falling apart. The room was clean and had a balcony overlooking 30th Avenue, which made it noisy in the room. My wife wore ear plugs. The air conditioning worked well. Trip Advisor ratings are way off the mark in this case.

We booked a room in this hotel at a extremely low price 6 months before our trip. However, the hotel cancelled my reservation 20 days before my trip, without talking to us or notifying us! More disappointingly, the same room types are still available on their website (and the price is three times of what we paid before)! They cancelled my reservation just because they think that it will benefit them if they host new costumers with higher price. If you don’t want your reservation to be cancelled shortly before your trip without notification and explanation, DO NOT book from them! I would give “zero star” if I can!
