Only just got round to writing this review we visited August 2023 the hotel had only been opened 2 weeks so wasent sure wat to expect as a bit buliding work was still going on around the outside Positives - Beautiful hotel the decor and flooring is outstanding and all the surrounding areas best I've seen Reception upon arrival very welcoming and was told everything you need to know about your stay We booked a open suite sea view was lovely think we were first in the room everything was there wat we needed. We didn't really use the kitchenette, our choice but did use the fridge and did make cups of tea /coffee Great showers lots of towels do check wen u arrive as my mum and dad had there own room and the toiletries they supply were missing but think on it had just opened and was replenished the next day by the lovely maids who work so hard Our view to the sea was amazing to sip a few cocktails before venturing out Lots of sunbeds around the pool and there is a gate directly on to the beach just need to swipe r card to open we choose this hotel as we love to be by the sea Lovely food around the pool at lunchtime looking out to the sea Night entertainment hit and miss but we did enjoy most singers however we tend to go out most nights Waiter service at night we found to be good and wasent waiting long once ordered Half board ( evening dinner ) not lots of choice however everything we ate tasted lovely as it is more cooked to order it suited us it is a bit more continental style NEGATIVES - Can get very confusing with r bill as this is a cashless hotel but we had to keep checking our bill everywhere day and go pay at reception as some other reviews said there bills was wrong IE paying for drinks they not had Would be better if you could use some kind of debit or someother card to pat straight away No day time entertainment would have been nice the odd day water yoga or something similar There was some back ground music in the afternoon which was nice to hear In all I do feel the evening meal does need a few more stations with different foods on The system for the drinks needs addressing as you don't seem to know wat r bill is and stops you half way through r holiday visiting reception guessing wat u owe or thinking wat u owe as a few times there bill was different to ours Meet some lovely respectfull people at this hotel , and it was our first time in puerto del carmen We have booked to come back again AUGUST this year we carnt wait as It will have been opened 12 months from wen we last came so I'm sure there will be more improvements to see Just one last thing not lots going on for children entertainment wise but lovely kids pool Brillient life guards and on the beach wat more would they want 🍸

Location is suberb BUT be aware that when you arrive with your 20kg bag there are seven steepish steps up to the Hotel, there is a ramp over to the right but its not visable when your dropped off at the hotel, easily missed. no porter/concierge available. Rooms advertise kitchette, fridge, kettle, microwave are all there together with two cups , saucers & t-spoons, NO other cutlery, crockery or kitchen towel/t-cloth, any of that has to be requested?? We had a torn net curtain (from room to balcony) after we mentioned this it was removed very promptly BUT NEVER replaced, despite asking?? There is an allowance with your "brown towel" use at the pool or on the beach, one towel change per person per day, they say its for Enviromental reasons but all the toilets within the hotel only have the "One flush" option, thats unenviromental. There is a "Bookswop" cupboard but not advertised and semi hidden away near the unused bar area 3rd floor close to reception. A new bar/restaurant "ISLA" opened while we were there, a sports TV area really, the air conditioning isnt sufficient and they DONT serve food there?? A number of other ******* that are annoying, eg , no milk jugs at breakfast, which means you take a glass of milk for your tea/coffee but invariably that drips / dribbles on the table when pouring into your tea/coffee. BUT LOCATION is superb.

We had a fantastic stay. The renovation is really impressive and our room was fab. Great having a separate lounge area and the kitchenette. Buffett breakfast had a great selection and all staff really friendly and efficient. The only thing I’d raise is; we loved having lunch on the pool terrace (great food and staff) but lots of the other guests smoked and we always ended up sat next to super smokers! Even if you moved someone else would turn up and smoke!! Would be good to have a no smoking area so you can enjoy your lunch smoke free.

Just writing this review in lobby after two week stay as a select guest. This place is amazing, and I have no negative comments to make. I have read all reviews on this place since it opened, as I booked in Aug 23, and all the negative ones are laughable. There is the usual scruffs going down at 7am to claim a sunbed, same bed, same time, everyday, but still we always managed to get a bed no problem. The select experience is well worth the extra money. We were looked after exceptionally well by two of the staff at breakfast, Priscilla and May. Two lovely ladies who were so attentive and they are a credit to the hotel. All the staff were fantastic. Those who review and say some staff are miserable need to remember that smiling is a two way thing, I smiled and said Hola to all the staff and was responded to in the same friendly manner. It’s nice to be nice. If you can afford it, then stay at this place as a select guest, you won’t be disappointed.

Lovely stay. On arrival we were greeted with a glass of cava which was a nice gesture! Check in process was quick and straightforward. Our room was the open sea view suite, which was stunning. The beds were so comfortable, but note it is 2 single beds pushed together. Bathroom had 2 sinks and a huge shower, it felt so luxurious. The swimming pool was amazing and we never had any issues getting a bed each day. Breakfast buffet was great, there was so much that we liked, which is rare for us as we are picky eaters on holiday. We had lunch in the hotel most days, a great selection of grilled sandwiches, burgers, pasta etc. The drink choice also good. Hotel in an excellent location close to both the ***** and the old town. The reason I haven’t rated this 5 stars is firstly our balcony towel rack was loose so we could not use this to dry our towels (room 233.) House keeping did not stock up our shower gel or hand soap for the entire 10 days. We left the pumps out of them in the hope she would notice and refill them but to no avail. We had to go out and buy our own. Surely housekeeping should check this every few days? WiFi disconnects continuously. Our second room key seemed to vanish on the 2nd last day..? Checkout process not as smooth as check in. No room service, nowhere to get water at night. But otherwise, a lovely stay. Would definitely return and highly recommend to friends and family.

Arrived 3 days ago (9/4/24) a bit apprehensive, due to a small number of negative reviews, but I can honestly say the hotel is lovely. Obviously the hotel is quite new after the refit, but the cleaning staff are constantly, cleaning, wiping and sweeping away the sand that blows in from the beach/ Sahara. The pool area is spotless, so far we have had no problems getting a sunbed. The pool has three areas, 1 a “kiddies” pool and 2 others open to all. I am told one is heated and one not, but cannot confirm this as we have stuck to the same area so far. We are only bed & breakfast so cannot say what the evening buffet is like, but breakfast is good with lots of fresh choices and lunch snacks are also good at the pool bar. We have an open suite, sea view and again cannot fault it…. and it’s very spacious. Staff, have been very friendly with a “hola” every time we meet one. Yes there are things, that they could improve on…. a Nespresso, type machine in the room for one, more information for guests and perhaps the bar could be a bit more atmospheric. And lastly this hotel is an Oasis of calm, no weird techno music round the pool and no “entertainment team” try to get you to take part in silly games, aerobics or afternoon bingo, if you want this, then this hotel is not for you. As I say only 3 days in and we have experienced nothing but positives. Would I return…… absolutely.

Last time I saw this hotel (pre-Covid), it was a building site! Four years on, and it is an extremely impressive building. Fresh, modern, spacious, pristine - all seem to suit its 4* rating. Built into a hillside site beside its 5* cousin - the Fariones hotel, the entrance is on floor 3 of 5 floors, the dining room and pool area being accessible from floor 1 (what I would call the ground floor!). We were on floor 4 with a lovely sea view and overlooking the pool area. It was classed as an open suite which means open plan, split level, with balcony. The room: large and comfortable double bed, good pillows, lounge area, air conditioning, safe, plenty of storage/hanging, separate kitchen-type sink, fridge, microwave, kettle, TV, writing table, coffee table, arm chair, two balcony chairs and table, balcony drying rack. Bathroom: walk-in shower (rain type and side mounted), wc, twin wash basins, good hair dryer, large mirror, makeup/shaving mirror. Lighting in the room and bathroom was excellent. Our room was a double; the bathroom door was made of opaque glass and was non-locking. The hotel has long, floating corridors with bridges to rooms - architecturally stunning. Good WiFi throughout. Breakfast was both plentiful and varied - no worries there. Pool towels provided and exchanged daily, if requested. Access to the beach was via a security door (opened with the room card). Negatives: Difficulty getting served at the bar in the evening - after one 20 minute wait, we left. Check-in was painfully slow - arriving with a package holiday group I would have been forgiven if I had though that we weren't expected. Check-in should be organised and quick. Waiting for a complimentary drink just added to the delay. The reception staff provided an excellent information sheet - they really didn't need to take us through it! This renovated hotel lacks character - eg reception staff not greeting guests in the morning or coming/going during the day. Having said that, all the room maintenance staff were very friendly.

My wife and I and our two kids stayed here for a week in late March. The experience was a largely positive one however there were a couple of thing that we felt they could improve upon. Firstly the positives, the hotel is new and modern and perfectly located, beachside and close to the old town and the *****. Room are a good size and are clean and comfortable. Staff are professional and friendly. On the negative side we had two rooms but when we checked in we discovered that one was on the third floor (sea view) while the second was on the first floor on the other side of the hotel. Not ideal. They did arrange to switch us to ajoining rooms subsequently but it was something we would have thought they would have considered ahead of check in, especially as the kids are only 12 and 14. A couple of other small *******, shower kept flooding in the second suite, no bottled water provided in the rooms (costs pennies), and while there was a kettle and cups there was not sachets of coffee or teabags, a basic thing that should be easily corrected. One last thing that's worth mentioning, the breakfasts were good but the food we ordered in the bar area for lunch was poor. Would we return? Yes probably.
