Plaza Pelicanos Grand Beach Resort All Inclusive

Buyer beware, website hotel description, ******* site hotel description not the actual accommodations available, so very disappointing 😑

Sheets, blankets and towels were dirty. Room stank significantly of mold. Shower temp was all over from freezing cold to scorching hot and thermostat don't work. Restaurant staff were nice, front desk wasn't very helpful. They closed the pool down around 8pm every night even though the sign and front desk said it closed at 10. Food was just ok. Very small property. Felt unwelcome to most staff. Skybar was nice and staff were welcoming up there.

The food was ok. Nothing great, but not terrible. Cheap lower grade alcohol. Wi-Fi strength was good, but signal was lost every time when you change location, and you have to login again and again, multiple times a day. We specifically booked an ocean view room, paid for it higher price. They didn't offer it. We've got a pool view room with very small portion of the ocean visible. The hotel didn't want to change anything. They called our room as "partial ocean view". They do have real ocean view rooms, but they said "those belong to members". Pictures on the ******* provide a completely different view, unobstructed clear wide-open ocean view. Why do you offer (and ask more $$) a real ocean view rooms if it's not possible to get it at the hotel? When I complained to *******, I was offered a compensation in a form of digital $$ that is tied up to ******* only and can be spent on some eligible hotels. How is that fair? I paid real money. I haven't got the service that I paid for, and now I'm offered some expedia-only points. Why?

Nice layout and atmosphere; charming, well organized; seemed more authentically Mexican than the other resorts around it; our teenaged daughters loved it. WiFi could be better if you are concerned about it. Good beach access; secure; Overall a great experience.

Most amazing experience and the best staff ever! They made this trip worth remembering. From the incredible food to the impeccable service to the views and pool. Such an amazing resort. Will be recommending to everyone! Thank you so much Plaza Pelicanos Grand Beach Resort !!!

We enjoyed our stay and found the food very good. The beach was lovely, our room was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the staff especially Saul who was the restaurant Capitan. He was helpful, friendly and always greeted us with a smile! The location is handy - halfway between Malecón and the airport- easy to get around and great walks along the beach. We had a kitchenette- well stocked but we enjoyed the food so we didn’t need it really. The one thing that could use improvement- the daytime staff on the front desk was not welcoming, helpful, or pleasant. Training in customer relations would be a good idea.

Had an ocean view room in the tower building which was excellent. Nice beach and good access for walks along. Staff was excellent. A special shout out for Victor and Danni. The food at this resort needs help. Especially the buffet at dinner time. Very repetitive. Breakfast was always good. Been at this resort 4 times. The good out weighs the bad.

First time at this resort, came with a friend for one week. The staff is amazing. Bartender Rodrigo up in the Sky Lounge went up and above with his service. Our room was clean and comfortable, but we did not get any hot water the entire week. The dinner buffet could have offered more choices, it was the same everyday. I would not stay here again, but it was a good experience overall.

Very poor wifi. food was average nothing to rave about. all the staff were friendly the pool and grounds were well kept. For the price we paid we have no complaints
