First time there but was given an upgrade to suite and the famous cookie upon check in. Room was well maintained and comfortable. Gym needs some renovations

This was my first time staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Qingdao, and to my surprise, I received a complimentary upgrade to an Executive Room. The hotel's facilities are, of course, excellent, and the service is equally impressive. The meticulous and thoughtful service from front desk staff Li Qianqian particularly impressed me. I will definitely choose to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

Despite my rushed schedule, I found that this major brand hotel truly delivered on cleanliness, service, and overall quality. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. They even offered complimentary cookies, which were still warm and absolutely delicious! Highly recommended! The price was also fantastic. For this level of quality in Linyi, one would typically expect to pay 800-1000 yuan, so getting it for around 400 yuan was an absolute steal. The breakfast was surprisingly good! I honestly didn't expect it to be included, especially given the affordable price, so it was a very pleasant surprise to find it was, and that it was so excellent.

Our room was excellent – quiet, clean, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We also dined at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, where the portion sizes were incredibly generous; we couldn't finish it all! It offered fantastic value for money. My only suggestion would be regarding the bedding. The duvet provided was quite thick and I found it too warm, even with the air conditioning running, which made me sweat. While the hotel did offer a blanket, I'm not really used to sleeping with just a blanket. It would be wonderful if the hotel could provide some lighter duvets or comforters as an option.

Got upgraded to a suite only to find it reeked of cigarette smoke. Went to the Buffett restaurant in the hotel only to be told that a group had taken most of the areas and other guests had to be contended with limited dishes. That was rather disappointing. Went out of the hotel but there was a supermarket and a bakery that’s operating. The bun shop was sold out and there was barely other stuff for dinner. Next day got the gym and need to use the toilet until I see filthy stuff on the toilet seat and around the toilet. I did not expect this from a Hilton chain!

The hotel's facilities and service are good though the hotel is located in the outskirt of Qingdao city centre. During my stay there were many Korean tourist groups happen to stay in this hotel too.
