Barony Park Hotel Qingdao Airport
"Nice location, facility and service. Direct connected to Departure lobby in 300 meters. Highly recommend to the travelers who want to catch the flight in the morning."
Haiyi International Apartment
"We arrived at the apartment quite late, around 1am, feeling exhausted. Unfortunately, we were greeted by a staff member with a rather rude attitude, which left us with a poor first impression. The apartment is spacious and can comfortably accommodate five of us. However, it is visibly aged, with noticeable wear and tear in several areas. The sea view from the window is pleasant, although it is not a full 180-degree view as it is partially blocked by another tower. Cutlery was not provided in the unit and had to be requested from the front desk, which was a bit inconvenient. Nevertheless, the service is generally good. A robot delivers meal orders directly to the unit, and parcels can also be received at the lobby, although guests need to collect them personally. On two occasions when I had to leave early and was unable to attend breakfast, I requested a takeaway option, and they kindly prepared boiled eggs and fruits, which was much appreciated. The location is strategic and within walking distance to May Fourth Station, MIXC Mall, and May Fourth Square. Overall, it was a good stay despite a few shortcomings."
Atour Hotel Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport
"The hotel room was quite large; even two people would have been very comfortable. The girls who checked me in at reception were very, very friendly. I only used the hotel's airport shuttle service, which was fine, but I couldn't use the airport pickup service; they didn't respond on time. My Chinese isn't very good at calling the hotel directly and making requests. So I would recommend that they be more careful in that regard. (they replied after I had left😆) Overall, the cleanliness was very good. The only issue is that they don't seem to clean the glass wall in the bathroom very often; I hadn't even used it yet and it was already dirty. And just one recommendation: the tea they left in the room was delicious, and I learned that in Chinese culture they don't use sugar in tea. But I'm not Chinese, and I do need something sweet 😁😅😆 They could add a small cookie or something sweet for those of us who need something sweet."
Atour Hotel Qingdao May Fourth Square City Hall
"Very satisfied with this hotel! It's just a few minutes' walk from both the subway station and the beach, which is incredibly convenient. They offer local breakfast, and my child absolutely loved their shrimp noodles every day – they were so delicious!"
Qingdao Haitian Hotel
"Jiaodong Airport is really far. My flight landed at 9:30 PM, and I didn't get to the hotel until 11:30 PM. When I arrived, I met Ariane (Ms. Wang). I had originally booked a small sea-view suite, but after discussing it, she upgraded me to a 270-degree sea-view room. It turned out to be a great decision; the view from the room was fantastic, and I could enjoy the ocean right from my bed. After checking in, I added Ms. Wang on WeChat. She was incredibly responsive for room cleaning and bringing requested items, which was very convenient. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of dishes, but it was too crowded. The next day, I decisively opted for the Executive Lounge on the 30th floor. Although there were fewer options, the experience was much better, and the views were great too. The scent in the lobby was pleasant, but a bit too strong; I'd suggest making it a little lighter. I'll definitely choose the Hyatt Regency Qingdao again on my next visit."
Floral Hotel·Qiyue Hotel (Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center May 4th Plaza store)
"Aside from being in a great location with a spectacular view, this place was clean, comfortable and well serviced. The host is responsive and very helpful! Highly recommend staying here."
Seaside Adulina Scenic Apartment (Qingdao May Fourth Square)
"Right in the heart of May Fourth Square, the environment is quiet and peaceful. It's convenient for getting anywhere, and you can see the sea right from your window. The hygiene is excellent; they clean daily and replenish consumables. The air conditioning is also new, so no worries about noise. It was a truly satisfying stay."
Xinlan Hotel (Shandong University Branch)
"The hotel was very clean and the service was excellent. It's a newly opened hotel, very tidy, and parking is convenient. It's great value for money. The front desk upgraded my room, but the soundproofing was a bit poor. The guy next door snored so loudly around 3 or 4 am that I couldn't sleep at all."
Qingdao Ethos Hotel
"I love it here. The hotel is good it is near the night market. Staff can speak english and very helpful."

Qingdao Xunji Homestay
"Excellent service, very satisfied."
Hyatt Regency Qingdao
"The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Shilaoren Beach, making it perfect for sunrise watchers. I was lucky enough to get a free upgrade to a sea-view room this time, so I could sit by the window and enjoy the ocean. However, since it's summer now, the sun doesn't rise directly over the sea, so you still need to go down to the beach to catch the sunrise. That said, the room view was lovely. The room facilities were a bit dated, but the space was very generous, and overall, my stay was comfortable."
MaxX Hotel Harbour View Qingdao
"I booked a business king room, but upon arrival, I was told it had a half-window. This wasn't mentioned on the booking page, which was frustrating. The front desk staff was quite arrogant and cold. They offered an upgrade for an extra fee, but what's the point on a foggy day? Apparently, this place also has apartments in the same building, which made things a bit confusing. The room size was decent, and the half-window wasn't a deal-breaker, but the worst part was the terrible soundproofing. A truly awful experience."
Qingdao Lingyu Hotel
"The hotel's location is really convenient; it's close to both bus and subway stations, and getting a taxi is super easy. The room itself was a bit small, but clean, and the staff were all very nice. Qingdao's scenery is absolutely beautiful, and the people here are wonderful too."
Qingdao Yihai Garden Hotel (May Fourth Square)
"A great hotel. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The breakfast is delicious. The staff are very helpful, especially Miss Zhao Cuiling who was extremely helpful."
Le Méridien Qingdao
"Let's start with the positives. The service was excellent, especially the front desk, concierge, and the glasses-wearing cleaner on the 29th floor – they were all wonderful. Items I requested were delivered very promptly, and the breakfast selection was varied and tasty. Now for the many negatives. The 29th floor is supposedly the executive floor, but which executive lounge is located directly opposite a guest room? The hallway smelled rancid, which was really off-putting. The room itself was very outdated with poor facilities. Some TV channels lost sound intermittently, and the ancient hairdryer was frankly ridiculous. One of the sinks was completely clogged; washing my face, brushing my teeth, or washing my hands resulted in incredibly slow drainage – it was practically unusable. Please fix it! The room occasionally smelled faintly of urine. I was given a north-facing room, which was chilly even without the air conditioning on."
Sheraton Qingdao Licang Hotel (North Station Branch)
"I had a very satisfying stay. What surprised me most was how close the hotel is to Qingdao North Station, which is incredibly convenient for guests traveling by high-speed rail. The lilies in the lobby were beautiful, and the front desk service was very warm and efficient. They responded quickly to any questions I had and even proactively upgraded my room. After check-in, the concierge voluntarily helped me with my luggage and registered my car plate. The room was very spacious with large floor-toceiling windows, making it very bright. The layout was well-designed, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, plus a bathtub, which was just perfect. The bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was good. Looking out from the room, there's an artificial lake park, and the room itself was very quiet, so it was lovely to take a stroll in the morning or evening. The hotel breakfast was also quite good, with a wide variety of dishes and delicious flavors. The weather in Qingdao in the morning wasn't hot, so enjoying breakfast outdoors was very pleasant. I also visited the gym and the pool; the pool was large and the water was very clean – a great experience. Overall, the value for money is excellent, and the stay experience was superb. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend it to everyone."
Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao
"🌸My first visit to Qingdao, with its red tiled roofs, green trees, and the clear blue sea and sky, left an unforgettable impression, like a beautiful painting. The Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao, certainly added a bold stroke to this masterpiece. 🌸The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to MixC, a shopping mall brimming with diverse culinary options and retail therapy. A subway station is right outside, with Lines 2 and 3 providing convenient access to all major Qingdao attractions, as well as Qingdao Station and Qingdao North Station. The iconic May Fourth Square is just a few hundred meters' walk from the hotel, and next to it lies the charming coastal scenic area. During the day, strolling along the seaside boardwalk, the sea breeze carries the distinct scent of the ocean. The azure water gently kisses the ochre reefs, stirring up white waves. Under the clear blue sky, white gulls spread their wings and soar, their cheerful cries blending with the sound of the waves to form an ocean symphony. The flowers along the shore also vie for attention – white hydrangeas, red roses, yellow wild chrysanthemums… adorning this beautiful coastal scenery even more exquisitely. At night, a captivating light show illuminates hundreds of buildings along the shore, as if draped in colorful neon, glittering and shimmering. The kaleidoscopic reflections in the water are then fragmented by the waves, making it hard to distinguish between buildings and their reflections. 🌸Before arriving in Qingdao, I admit I was a little apprehensive due to some online reviews and the hotel's age, which made it feel a bit dated. To my surprise, upon arrival, I was greeted by a grand floral welcome ceremony! Not only did the hotel upgrade our previously booked Grand Executive Suite to a Specialty Suite, but two managers personally escorted us to our room. Seeing the thoughtful welcome snacks, fruit platter, and beverages arranged on the coffee table, all my previous doubts vanished. 🌸The suite itself was spacious and bright, especially with the floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of the vast blue sea dotted with sailboats. There was also a bar area and a well-equipped kitchenette. Perhaps due to its earlier construction, the room lacked a separate walk-in closet, having only one wardrobe, which made it difficult to organize clothes. The bathroom space was a bit small, and the heated towel rail was temporarily out of service. The toilet wasn't smart, but the seat was heated. Despite these minor points, the long and large living room and two separate bathrooms made me overlook any shortcomings. 🌸Room service was incredibly responsive. When I mentioned needing a screen mirroring device for the TV, they immediately installed one. Housekeeping was also impeccable; fresh fruit was replenished daily, along with complimentary 'Laoshan Three Delights,' which were promptly restocked after consumption. Tissues were amply placed, always within easy reach wherever needed. Mineral water and glass bottles of Jiangnan Spring water were also replenished daily. What truly moved me was that when I requested a makeup mirror and a power strip, they brought brand new, unopened ones without a moment's hesitation. 🌸The Executive Lounge service was also excellent, with all staff being warm and attentive, especially the Japanese manager who always greeted us with a smile and respectful demeanor, even personally pressing the elevator button for us. Assistant Manager Tina was also highly professional, handling issues efficiently and methodically. She was receptive to guest suggestions and implemented improvements immediately. She even provided us with sightseeing tips, and knowing we wanted to try mackerel dumplings, she arranged for a special plate to be made for us in the morning – truly thoughtful. Du Haijian, the Guest Relations Manager, was also very concerned about our stay, even helping us reserve a restaurant while on vacation and assisting with any problems. 🌸The hotel's dining is a major highlight of Shangri-La Qingdao. The Executive Lounge breakfast offered a à la carte menu with a good variety. However, the beef in the beef noodles felt a bit too shredded and not chunky enough, though the seafood egg drop noodles were quite good. The Eggs Benedict were somewhat ordinary compared to other hotels. The wontons were decent, and the French toast was quite tasty. Afternoon tea was relatively simple, with only some biscuits, fruit, tea, and drinks, but no small cakes. The hot dishes during happy hour weren't numerous, but the cold dishes were exquisitely prepared and delicious, and the desserts were superb. Moreover, if we desired any other food, the Executive Lounge staff would try their best to accommodate. 🌸The breakfast buffet in the ground floor restaurant was even more lavish, especially the handmade Shandong steamed buns, which were exceptional. The buns had thin skin and generous fillings, bursting with juice with every bite, offering a truly satisfying experience. There were beef, pork, and sweet potato noodle vegetarian fillings, catering to everyone's preferences. The freshly fried dough sticks were crispy and delicious. 🌸Additionally, we sampled the dinner buffet, which offered a wide variety and excellent value for money. The salmon was incredibly fresh and genuinely thick-cut. There were many types of sushi; I particularly loved the torched cheese durian salmon sushi. All the durian-series desserts were quite good. There were also Qingdao's unique pan-fried shrimp dumplings and abalone dumplings, lavishly prepared with thin dumpling wrappers encasing whole large shrimps and abalones, with a crispy, fragrant bottom crust. With one bite, the shrimp and abalone were springy, the filling juicy, and the crust crunchy – truly indescribably delicious. Haha, just talking about it makes me want to go back to Qingdao!😛. 🌸The seafood here is caught fresh every morning: huge, plump oysters, swimming crabs bursting with roe, various shellfish, conches, and even poached red snapper with incredibly flavorful fish soup… It's undeniable that as a coastal city, Qingdao boasts a unique geographical location and abundant marine resources. The restaurant manager, Guo Wen, was also very enthusiastic. When we missed out on sea stars that evening, she specially prepared a portion for us and sent it to the Executive Lounge the next day, allowing us to taste sea stars for the first time. 🌸In conclusion, the Shangri-La Qingdao truly left us with so many wonderful memories. Having stayed at Shangri-La hotels in many cities, the service here in Qingdao was arguably the best. As we left, Tina even gifted us a limited-edition Qingdao Shangri-La blind box, featuring the lighthouse of the Olympic Sailing Center, which was a very meaningful souvenir. 🌸I hope to visit Qingdao and the Shangri-La Qingdao again in the near future!"
Bushe Villa (Qingdao May Fourth Square MixC Mall)
"The guesthouse has a great surrounding environment and convenient parking. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and even helped us with our luggage. The resident dog, Big Mac, is super handsome and very affectionate! We brought our own dog on this trip, and all the hotel staff loved her, constantly complimenting how cute she was and even taking pictures with her. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Qingdao!"
Qingdao Jinsha Lansu Seaview Hotel Apartment (Golden Beach Beer City)
"The location is great and very convenient, right next to Golden Beach. It's a full sea-view room, super spacious, and the bedding is excellent and very clean with no strange smells. Downstairs, there's a buffet restaurant which is very handy for meals, and there's also a subway station nearby. In the evening, it's lovely to take a stroll by the sea."
Holiday Inn QINGDAO CITY CENTRE by IHG
"Location: A 15-minute walk from May Fourth Square, and Ginza Mall is also within walking distance. It's convenient for tourists visiting Qingdao. The hotel is situated near a residential area, offering a quiet escape despite being close to the bustling city. Facilities: Standard chain hotel amenities. There's a pool, but it's on the smaller side and can get crowded during peak hours. Cleanliness: Generally good. Service: Attentive and prompt."
Qingdao Xinshatan Coast Holiday Hotel
"I chose Xinsan Beach Resort Hotel for my trip to Qingdao this time, and it exceeded my expectations! The environment is absolutely stunning – just a few steps from the beach, so you can see the sea as soon as you step outside. Evening strolls by the sea were incredibly therapeutic, and the hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped, perfect for photos. The room amenities were complete, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offering a wide view. The bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom and air conditioning all worked perfectly. The staff were friendly and efficient with check-in, responding promptly to any requests – attentive without being intrusive. The cleanliness was exceptional; every corner of the floors and bathroom was spotless, and the bedding was clean with no strange odors. Daily cleaning was thorough. It offers great value for money, making it ideal for a vacation. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Qingdao!"
Blue Horizon Hotel (Qingdao Shilaoren International Convention and Exhibition Center)
"Not a good choice"
MGM Qingdao
"I came here for my birthday and had already communicated with Butler Elly in advance. On the day of check-in, as soon as I opened the door, a birthday welcome setup was prepared for me, complete with a little lion cake, fruit, and balloons! In the afternoon, I also participated in a hotel crafting activity, which I really enjoyed. Elly's responses were very efficient, and I bothered her many times, haha, big thumbs up!!"
Qingdao Licang Jiahua Hotel
