GGuest UserThe receptionist was incredibly attentive!! Girls traveling alone to Qingdao should definitely choose this place! They have various room types; I've stayed in both 3-person and 8-person rooms once each, and they were all very clean! The mattresses were soft and comfortable, and there were many thoughtful touches in the common areas! Most importantly, the price is fantastic! The location is also convenient; the subway station is just a short walk away. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Qingdao!

LLuobinI had a flight with an overnight layover in Qingdao, so I opted to stay locally in a hotel. 'Locally' meant riding two stops on the subway, and catching the bus for two stops which altogether cost me less than £1. Probably about $1 US, or €1. However, I had to wait a while for the bus, so it took me about an hour. Upon arrival, the landlord treated me like a king and was exceptionally helpful. I can speak Chinese, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless people can speak a little Chinese and can read basic sentences. The hotel is fairly basic but, as I said, the proprietors are extremely accommodating and told me to ask if I needed anything. The landlord showed me where to eat locally (and physically took me there!) and when I left, he showed me where the nearest bus stop is (photo). I couldn't make the hot water work for a shower, but had I asked I'm sure they would have sorted it. I was in a bit of a rush in the morning and I didn't want to make a fuss. The bed was hard (like I Chinese prefer) but I slept well. There was no kettle in the room, but boiling water was provided. The area is out in the country, so if you want to see how ordinary Chinese live, this is a good opportunity. City hotels are quite westernised but this place is authentic Chinese. Pictures are of the bus stop and the subway station. Although I was told that a taxi might only cost me a little over a pound.

Yyaya882877It was my first time staying in this kind of youth hostel. All the guests were girls and they all took good care of my roommates’ rest. They cleaned the place twice a day, so the public places were very clean. The surrounding transportation was very convenient, and it was close to Qingdao Station, the subway and Xizhen Station. There were many places to eat, and it was only a dozen minutes’ walk to the pier.

GGuest UserI couldn't find a room after getting off the train late at night, so I decided to give it a try. I found the environment to be quite good, clean, and there was nothing wrong with it. The lady boss even planned a route for us and told us how to get there. The ice jelly and sour plum soup they make themselves are really great. I usually buy them for 15 yuan each at the night market, but they only cost 5 yuan. Overall, it's pretty good. I don't understand those who gave it a bad review. Maybe everyone's needs are different, haha.

SserinehsuFacilities: Actually, the rooms aren't too old; they've been renovated, and some of the standard rooms are quite new. The problem is that there are no airtight windows for soundproofing, and if you open them, there's no privacy. At night, I could hear men snoring, and during the day, I could hear men clearing their phlegm! Environment: Very convenient, 600 meters from the subway.
