The only highlight is that it's only a five-minute walk from the Botanic Gardens. The front desk was an Indian, which lacked a better experience than other enthusiastic New Zealanders. The room size is larger. There are snack bars nearby, fried chicken downstairs, gas stations, and a dedicated parking building. And it's free and relatively convenient, but the facilities are still relatively old and not so clean.

I made a reservation because I was worried because the price was so low, but I'm very satisfied. Complete with towels and bathtub, coffee and cocoa available. You have to go through the park to get to the city, but it feels good. However, you can leave your luggage after checking out, but it is kept in an unlocked room, so I was able to return it without any problems, but I was worried. Other than that there are no problems so I would like to use it again

I've had the pleasure of staying at Parkview a couple of times and have enjoyed each stay. However, my recent stay I was locked out of my room for an amount of time late in the evening while waiting for assistance to get back in. This is no fault of the establishment and more of an issue with the lock itself, however there was no form of acknowledgement other than instructions to keep the door propped open if I had to leave my room at any point before it could get fixed (risking my belongings being stolen) and a 'Sorry" at checkout. Rather disappointed.

The hotel is well organized and has a small balcony. This is the view. You can take an Uber very early in the morning, and the Korean fried chicken downstairs is also delicious. Need to be reminded that check-in at 8pm is more troublesome.

Excellent location. Walking distance to botanical gardens and downtown as well as a mall with everything you’d need. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms with a bathtub!

Location, beautiful park, near amenities

Rung to say my check in time would be later and to leave a key and got no answer. This was before the stated time for final check in. Refused a refund therefore no longer a client of this booking service

Great stay, easy access to public transport. Hagley park a beautiful place to walk and close to Botanical gardens. Short walk to City Centre and train station.

I was quite impressed with value for money i and to have a high quality restaurant as part of the complex was an added bonus.

We were really happy with our room as it was better than expected. Friendly staff. Will stay again

This is now my favourite place in Christchurch. I will always try this place first, when visiting Christchurch.

The location of the hotel is very good, at the crossroads and opposite the park; the room is large, simple and comfortable; the only drawback is that the trash can is not cleaned!
