The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, answering your questions! The food at the breakfast buffet was very varied and delicious, even chia and flax seeds were available! March 8 is International Women's Day, and during breakfast, the restaurant gives each lady a box of cake, which is really thoughtful! The most unfortunate is that the spacing between rooms is too thin, the lady in the next room watches TV until midnight every night, the volume is very loud, making noise, affecting our sleep, fortunately asked the hotel staff to communicate with her, the situation has improved, we do not have to change rooms!
The hotel staff is kind but it is difficult to find someone speaking English. The rooms are amazing, extremely large, and full of any comfort, but unfortunately, the location is quite penalising. It is in the Centro ( downtime), and this area is very dangerous, full of thieves, homeless, with the roads stincking. You are forced to stay in or move around only with Uber. Otherwise, you risk to be involved in an assault (”assalto”) and get you robbed ( pls wear down, take all your valued belongings in the safe, and use a very low quality phone for directions and photo if you don't want to take risk). Rio is not safe for the tourists in this area.
The stay was wonderful, however, we had some problems at the checkout time concerning the shift of consumption payment in the room. According to the receptionist, I had to leave the value of R$100 if there was some consumption in the room, be charged at the end of the stay. However, at the time of Checkout the transfer was not made at that time because they said that the card was not the same as the check in (but it was) and when confirming the room consumption, it was said that we had consumed a cooling in the pack that was not available. Nothing was charged about this cold, but we need to sign a ”term” that we did not consume. Taking this countertime, at the most, the stay was great!

The hotel service is very good, the sea view is very good, the beach is right outside, and there are many restaurants downstairs, which is very convenient.
Hygiene: Satisfied
Facilities: The facilities are relatively old, but overall satisfactory and worth recommending.
The location was good and it felt safe. The pool was small, but the breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. It felt crowded with group tourists, but I thought it was a decent place, so I thought it was good. There are a lot of supermarkets, laundromats, and restaurants nearby, and it's right in front of the beach, so it's great!

The breakfast is good, but parking is difficult. It's also close to the beach, but there are a lot of homeless people downstairs. There are also many restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Overall it's good

A hotel with an excellent location and very friendly staff. The beautiful view over Copacabana and the service on the beach make the experience extra special.
However, the room (906) was disappointing in terms of soundproofing. Due to the special layout, I could hear my neighbors - even their conversations - very well, which disturbed my sleep considerably. I subtly indicated this at the reception, but no solution was offered, possibly because the hotel was fully booked.
In addition, I found it striking that coffee in the room was for a fee. Although I hardly drink coffee myself and certainly not in a hotel room, this still detracted from the experience. In a five-star hotel you expect this to be a standard service, especially considering the room price. A filled minibar is understandable, but coffee and tea should be a given.
All in all, recommended for those who are not sensitive to noise, but the hotel could invest in better soundproofing and a more hospitable policy regarding basic facilities.

I checked into the hotel and was very impressed at everything, the welcome, genuine friendliness from the front reception staff, but in particular one person was an absolute diamond!
Mr Barbosa helped me with first aid and assistance getting to hospital after I was hit by a motorcycle whilst crossing the road. He went above and beyond for me, helping me to remove my heavily blood stained shirt and freshen up before hospital. He did everything possible to help me - it was an outstanding effort! Amazing ! A real hero!

Everything was very good, a hotel with clean rooms and bathrooms. The staff was very friendly and they even let you use the pool before you have checked in if you arrived early.

Good facilities, and great breakfast included in the rate, too bad that both check in and check out are so slow.
They should train the staff at the desk

GGilvanExcellent location and pleasant surroundings, however, there were leaks in the windows caused by a problem with the glass sealing (already known by the hotel, it was using duct tape to alleviate it), the noise of the leak during the night, while it was raining, was loud and irritating, I had to use towels to alleviate the noise and be able to sleep.
GGuest UserAmazing experience, I like hotels and this one made me want to stay a little longer. Impeccable service, restaurant that values different cuisine, from dinner to sheik's coffee.
Note: we ate pizza, but what a pizza it was... 😱

GGuest UserThis hotel is a great stay in Barra.
Like a lot of hotels in Rio, this one is old. The place has some relics of the last century: the phone is old, the furniture is old, etc. However, it makes up for it in other ways.
The service is excellent at this property. The breakfast is very good, the room service is great and cheap, and all of the staff from doormen to bellhops to reception are attentive and professional. The breakfast attendants are more professional than most local waiters. You will get excellent service here.
The hotel is also very pretty despite its age. The hallways and lobby are large, and it looks premium. The location is incredible if you like Barra. We only stayed one night, but we had a decent side view of the ocean from our room, and we easily had enough time for a nice walk on the beach before check-out.
Windsor Barra Hotel is a great value; stay here if you value service and excellent access to Barra’s beach.

GGuest UserI have nothing to complain about the hotel, everything was perfect, cleanliness, food, rooms, and a special compliment to the staff, all without exception!!!
