Hilton Copacabana Rio de Janeiro

Everything was great, but it was marred by the occasional cockroach in the bathroom. And this was on the 24th floor! I can only imagine there are more on lower floors.

Honestly, I've never stayed in such a rundown Hilton. The room itself was ugly and outdated, and the elevators and automatic hotel doors were frequently out of order. The price offered no advantage compared to other hotels on Copacabana Beach.

Great location, and the rooftop has a nice ambiance. The facilities are a bit dated, but overall it's still pretty good.

The location is superb, right at the beginning of Copacabana Beach, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the entire nearly five-kilometer-long famous beach. There's a wide variety of restaurants nearby, and supermarkets and small stalls are also easily accessible.

The hotel view is absolutely stunning, and the location is great. However, the room was small, and the facilities were quite old. The public restroom in the lobby had a strong, unpleasant smell. There were people smoking on the way to the hotel, which was a bit off-putting. For breakfast, the cups provided looked like they had been used by others, so I'd recommend bringing your own sanitizing wipes. There was no drinking water provided in the room, and even when I asked for it, they wouldn't give me any, which was really strange. The staff, including the front desk and lobby concierge, weren't very polite.

The hotel is a bit old, but the surrounding area is great. It's just across the road from the beach and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The soap is fantastic! The lobby manager is very dedicated, especially Anbao. Having three people standing outside the main entrance and next to the elevator 24/7 really makes you feel secure.
