Top Floor Trastevere

Lovely 3 night stay, we stayed in apartment 1 and it was a nice room With a balcony onto the street. The breakfast was a lovely continental style breakfast with great coffee. Location is fab with the bustling alleys of Trastevere minutes away. It is slightly difficult to find the location with a steel gate in between two real estate agents.

Excellent location in Trastevere. While room is smaller, it was modern, clean and great value. It is 4 bedroom guesthouse in a large residential apartment building. Eduardo provided great instructions on how to enter the building and responded quickly to our questions when we arrived. He also assisted with arraigning a taxi for our departure to the airport. We stayed in the triple room with doors that led to a small balcony that overlooks the main street. Wifi and a continental breakfast is included.

Eduardo is very helpful, giving guests lots of information on restaurants, guidance on getting to places, and help in reserving taxis to and from the airport. We stayed in two apartments. Apartment #1 has a nice little balcony with two chairs. Apartment #2 is a bit smaller, doesn’t have a balcony, and is needing a few touchups to cover wear and tear. While compact, the apartments are in a good location. Oksana, Eduardo’s staff person, is a delight. In her warm and welcoming way, she serves a nice breakfast. Our stay was punctuated by a few nerve-wracking experiences with the two downstairs doors to the elevator. If we had been more confident that we would be able to get into the building, we would give our stay a higher rating.

This is a very nice 4 bedroom guesthouse a very short walk from a host of excellent restaurants. To put in context many of the restaurants in Central rome at near globally recognised sites and thus come with an additional price tag for an inferior product. In trastevere there are excellent restaurants for a resonable price. We stayed in the triple room. It would suit a couple and one child. The room had large double doors that led to a small balcony that sits along a street lined with trees. Very nice to have a glass of wine in the evening. While the building is residential the guesthouse on the sixth floor is very modern and is just 3yrs old. No issues with the WiFi and the shower was very strong. Breakfast was great with the friendly oxana making good quality coffee in the morning. Also good quality juice, hams and cheese used. As the guesthouse has just four rooms you get a more personal service. If like us your staying in Rome for a weekend and want to see the sights without using public transport and eat good quality food, then Top Floor is a great option. Also we booked very late so rang edoardo directly instead of via a booking site. He has good English and gave a great rate.
