"I had a great stay at Joudyan Hotel in Al Olaya. The hotel is beautiful, and the reception staff were excellent and very welcoming. The room had everything I needed, you really don’t feel like you’re missing anything. The location is perfect, close to most places in Riyadh. There are also restaurants in the hotel, along with a gym and a swimming pool, although I didn’t get the chance to try them 😄 Highly recommended!"

The hotel itself is impeccable—the rooms are modern, sleek, and exceptionally clean, offering a perfect urban retreat in the middle of a busy city. What I loved: Service: The staff were professional and went out of their way to ensure a smooth check-in and comfortable stay. Facilities: The rooftop pool and gym are highlights of the property, offering great views and a chance to relax. Vibe: It has a very chic, lifestyle-focused atmosphere that is perfect for both business travelers and couples. The only downside: The only thing to be aware of is that there aren’t many shops or convenience stores within immediate walking distance of the hotel entrance. If you need snacks, pharmacy items, or a quick retail fix, you’ll likely need to take a short Uber or drive to one of the nearby malls or commercial strips. Verdict: Despite the lack of immediate shops nearby, the quality of the hotel and the service make it a 5-star stay for me. I would definitely stay here again, just with a little more preparation for my personal supplies!"

"I've been using Trip.com for years, and this is the first time I've ever left such a negative review. I checked in late at night, only to find the door lock was ridiculously broken, almost falling off. When I went downstairs and immediately asked for a room change, the front desk acted as if they hadn't heard me, saying they'd send someone to fix it right away and told me to go back upstairs. Even though they managed to drill the nail back in, it felt like it would fall off again with just a push from the outside. I contacted Trip.com, and I overheard the front desk telling their customer service on the phone, 'It's OK. OK, just the safety lock.' Later, they told me it was fixed and to go back up. Throughout the entire negotiation process that evening, there wasn't a single apology. Is this what the Mercure brand has come to now? With the help of Trip.com customer service (Yanzi), I finally got a room change, utterly exhausted. I don't understand why they wouldn't switch rooms when there were clearly other rooms of the same type available. After a ten-hour flight, and no rest – who could give a good review? By the way, Yanzi was truly efficient and excellent at communication, a stark contrast to the speechless hotel staff. P.S. The location is excellent. Subway and supermarket are all conveniently available. Breakfast is around 100+ riyals; it's filling and even has congee, but it's not worth purchasing separately."

"It's an older hotel, but it was renovated last year. The lobby and rooms are freshly updated, though the rooms are on the smaller side due to the original old design and layout. Breakfast is pretty good and offers a good variety, and the service is decent too."

"The adaptation was very cold even after trying to repair it as well as washing water heaters, customer service was informed and agreed to get a food compensation, except that it wasn't on the face that the hotel was honoring, it was disappointing and didn't respect the guests, and it was a service. The customers evaded the promise to put some of my bags in the icebox after they got it from me, they brought back my bags and water drips out of it, the supervisor was told all of that, and he got me well received, he offered a drink, and he said the manager would contact me, except that he hadn't contacted me until this moment more. It's 24 hours. It was disappointing."
