Chalet Hotel Kaya

This hotel has great friendly staff , close to the ski slopes and on them when the snow is good. Reception welcome was great with Maryanne ! Restaurant service with Sofia excellent as well. Breakfast is great , large choice for all tastes and friendly management . One point of note is the restaurant in the evening or lunch for kids slightly limited , lack of veges to choose from for those healthy minded parents. Not many soups to choose from either but a minor issue. The spa is great , large steam , sauna and swimming pool. Great for after ski relaxation. Rooms lots of different sizes to choose from , ideal for families ! I would only add a working desk for those that want to do a little work while spare time allows . Comfy beds good linen and great room stewards who fix anything (in our case the remote for example ). Kids camp area , a little hectic but great for the younger ones . Our kids loved it. We would come back for sure.

Very warmly welcomed from the minute I arrived at the hotel. Friendly and efficient check in. Felt like at home during all my stay. All staff are very friendly and attentive to all my request. Excellent breakfast and dinner with nice selection of fine food as local specialists. Will definitely be coming back!

Kaya hotel has the most helpful and kind staff, it’s a beautiful hotel and a wonderful place to stay with family. The family rooms are really spacious and comfortable with lovely design features; there is plenty of storage and it feels relaxing rather than crammed in. It was great having the spa and pool, the restaurant was lovely and the bar was a cool space to hang out. Resort buses take you all the way to the hotel and you are right on the slopes to start skiing.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Kaya for the first time this Easter week. It was fabulous. Nothing was a problem, everything was clean, everyone was helpful and we will absolutely return at some stage. The location is perfect too. The only downer was the restaurant, although delicious food was a little too smart at dinner time and the pool wasn’t pristine but apart from those two small things it was so great we loved it. We highly recommend it for families or couples. Well done to the Kaya team you’ve got it just right.

Beautiful located and decorated hotel, nice comfortable rooms. We were disappointed with the restaurant (service, forgetting allergies, not enough food, expensive) and the sauna facilities (clothed while service said otherwise, no cold shower).

Pool very noisy and not so clean, old beds, totally NOT relaxing. Kaya Suite with 2 rooms; very small bedrooms, closets not practical and no space. Hall and elevator not so clean, exit ski room dirty, full of mud, also noisy room. Food restaurant too expensive for quality, but friendly staff. 4pm snacks, poor and always the same.

We're still at this hotel. We've complained to the restaurant manager, reception staff and Ingham rep and absolutely nothing has been done about the miniscule portion size of the main meal in the restaurant. The evening meal is style over substance. Last night cold chestnut soup which should have been hot and tonight gritty leek soup as the mud hadn't been cleaned off the leeks properly and that is then followed by a weeny main course. Last night the dessert was brought to our room so I could eat something else I had in my room before eating dessert. By the time you've sat in the restaurant for 1 hour 45 mins to 2 hours you don't really feel like going out to get something to eat or ordering a takeaway as it's too late nor should you have to. Having been caught out last night I took my own food to the restaurant and ate it between courses. The restaurant staff put the plates in front of you and walk off. No one asks if the food is ok. When I told them I was still hungry last night the reply was "Sorry about that" but nothing was done. I'm glad we've only got another two meals to put up with. I hope if you choose this hotel and Inghams you have more success than we have. There's a specials menu if you don't mind eating a shed load of cheese or cooking your own food, might as well have gone self catering and no doubt will do again, at least I've never gone to bed hungry. I can't get over the attitude of the staff. Literally no one could care less. I'm a petite woman but I do appreciate a proper meal not soup followed by more soup. As we're skiing around all day long you'd think the meals would be healthy and sustaining.

We had a wonderful stay at the Chalet Hotel Kaya. We arrived late, due to a nightmare journey, and we were greeted with an incredibly warm welcome from the evening front desk team. The friendliness of the staff throughout the hotel and in the attached ski shop, was absolutely exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble and we genuinely felt like everyone truly cared about us. The hotel itself is a good size and has a homely atmosphere. The breakfasts were fantastic and the bar area was a lovely, cosy place to unwind after a long day of skiing. The games area upstairs is very well-equipped. It would have been good to have a few vegan options on the dinner menu for our daughter. They did make up a vegan pasta dish on request, but it wasn’t to the standard of the rest of the meals. We appreciate it’s not always easy catering for such specific dietary needs. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. It was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays we’ve had in a long time. Exactly the kind of ski-in-ski-out resort we were hoping for.
