A hotel very well placed on the square, and police most of the day and evening.
A small downside for the noise inside the hotel with the staff who make no effort to be discreet when checking in new guests, at any time of the night…
The staff is very helpful, and the reception team speak English
A special mention for the breakfast which is very complete, and the possibility of being in complete darkness in the room to rest

Thank you very much to everyone in the CafeBahia hotel team, from the Front Desk amazing Adrian, Gabriel, Marcelo and Leanna, to the kitchen team with a delicious exotic breakfast to the Housekeeping team with daily fresh sheets and towels. You all worked hard and delivered a TOP NOTCH experience with your concierge local tips on safety, culinary, “Blocos” info, events scheduled, cultural point of interest. We visited Feb 7-10, 2024 During Carnival, Optimal location “Prace de Se” to experience “Pelourinho” authentic festivities. Clean spacious bedroom and bathroom (Shower). Absolutely ! we will be back again ! The team made the difference ! Thank you all !

We are a family of 5 including 3 teenagers and we had the best stay at BahiaCafe Hotel. The hotel facilities were nice, the location in the middle of Pelourinho was perfect and the breakfast was delicious. But the best part was our concierge Juri. He was super helpful and gave us good tips for the city and helped us arrange a lot - and top of all - he is a really nice guy

Excellent location in the heart of the historic center of Salvador. You can walk (or take the elevator) to most major destinations. Michel and team were also very helpful in coordinating travel to Morro de São Paulo and Boipeba. The rooms are nice with some home-like touches and the breakfast service is a great way to start your day.

Bahiacafe Hotel is a beautifully decorated place, which fits really into the city. Everything is very authentic, the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. We had a room with a French balcony, with distant side view to the sea. A big advantage is that every Taxi- and uber-driver knows BahiaCafe. I especially loved the breakfast - excellent fruit, cakes and very crisp bread selection. The bathrooms are clean and well equipped. The staff is very caring. All in all a very authentic and Salvadorian experience which is to recommend.

Very friendly check-in by 3 guys, helpful and chatty and one showed me up to my room. They always gave me good info and tips for the local area. I really liked the style of the bedroom with wooden shutters looking out onto rooftops and being able to hear the local ambient sound. Comfortable bed, tight shower room but perfectly adequate. Breakfast was a good selection imo, breads, meat, eggs, cakes etc, juices, coffee/tea. The lady in the kitchen was really pleasant as well. The dining room looked out onto the square, it was a great way to start the day. The location is literally minutes from the Elevador Lacerda and walking around the immediate area I felt safe even late evening. Ubers were plenty available to go further afield. The hotel entrance was secure with gate and unlocked via your keycard or reception. Would happily stay again if ever I found myself in Salvador.

Nice place, good location, polite and understanding staff. Breakfast was great. Don't book the spa facilities - Ofuro is sold as a luxury treatment but it's a small wooden tub with cold/ dirty water... bits of mould floating around. W Room was fine, but the shower/toilet was extremely cramped.

Hotel maravilhoso, quarto amplo, prédio histórico, bem localizado, equipe prestativa, boa localização, cama larga, único problema é que banheiro sanitário a porta e de box de vídeo, evitando privacidade. O café da manhã é gostoso, tudo maravilhoso!

Très bon établissement. Décoration dans le style bahanais. Localisation top pour les visites Le petit déjeuner est top avec des spécialités locales. Nous repartions tôt le matin avant l’ouverture du petit déjeuner donc l’hôtel nous a proposé de nous préparer un petit en cas avant notre départ. Chambre climatisée ! Frigo dans la chambre.
