Hotel Villa del Sol

Staff is super friendly and property is clean and tidy. Lots of casual lounge areas. Super close to airport and nice pool. Bathrooms are newly renovated and nice. Property is older but well maintained. Super cozy!

Unlike any of the more commercial hotels. Clean well maintained property with a friendly staff. Just a short walk to a beautiful beach if you want a break from the pool on site.

There was no elevator so difficult to drag the luggage up the steps. The mini split ac had a fan that was very noisy and kept going on and off disturbing sleep. Also the closet door was broken. The bathroom was updated and clean.

The staff was very friendly. The only thing that it is so close the the airport that you can hear the planes very close.

Fabulous small boutique hotel. Everyone was very friendly. Beautiful pool area. Walking distance to beach and many restaurants. We also rented a car from them and they provided a free shuttle to/from airport.

I don’t think I ever leave reviews but feel compelled because what I read from other reviews - and the rating - does not reflect my experience at all. The rave reviews are shocking. Our hotel room looked nothing like the pictures on the website. Truly false advertising. Our tiny room with the king size bed was basically like a youth hostel crept we paid over $150 to stay there! Unbelievable. Awful dreary carpeting, the cheapest saddest furniture, a bed shoved up against windows. The room did seem clean — but that’s it. Truly it was depressing to be in there. I wish I had taken some pictures to post here. The outside area is the only nice part of the hotel. The entire interior is tired and old and in desperate need of an update. It is clearly not a hotel for anyone elderly or disabled as there are only stairs so you have to carry your luggage up and down. It is also noisy. Anytime anyone comes in and out of their room there is a loud bang. The wifi also barely works. The only positive was how close it was to the airport. But overall we were grateful our stay was only one night. How this hotel is categorized as three stars is one of life’s great mysteries. I have had better rooms in two star hotels!

The staff are very accommodating and helpful except for one receptionist. The rooms are cleaned everyday. However, I don’t know if it’s a mosquito or bed bugs but we have insect bites on our legs when we woke up.

The staff is very nice and courteous. Even though this is a small (29 rooms) and everything is older, it grows on you. When we first checked in I was unsure I wanted to stay, but I enjoyed the staff and surrroundings the other minor issues faded. The bathroom is small but everything is very cleanl.
