Excellent facility but we were there at the very beginning of the season and the pool and hot tub were not yet open so we can’t comment on those. The outdoor furniture also needed a little freshening up for the season. The location was beautiful, quiet and calming with spectacular views of Mount Etna. There were shared kitchen and laundry facilities which were very handy. We enjoyed a wine tasting with our dinner in the restaurant on our first night which was very informative and fun. San Michele is conveniently located for accessing Mount Etna and the small towns nearby (which have some good restaurants) and has easy access to the highway to visit nearby cultural sites like Taormina, Catania and Syracusa. The staff was very friendly and efficient and many spoke some English. Our room was very comfortable with everything we needed. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend San Michele to others.

The hotel rooms were nice and very roomy, and the surroundings cannot be beat: view of Etna on one side and ocean on the other. Unfortunately we visited in the off-season, and although we tried to contact the hotel beforehand about their restaurant and wine-tasting hours, we did not receive a response and only found out when we arrived that it does not do dinner and wine-tasting later in the afternoon. Would still definitely recommend a stay here though, just be aware of what service they offer before you visit!

We stayed at the hotel for seven nights during our trip in Sicily as we were looking for a convenient location to explore the East coast and be able to relax during down time. The staff were so warm and welcoming, the set menu at night delicious (and a great deal!) and the days by the pool flew by. We would come back here any time, maybe even with extended family or friends as it seems very family friendly. Definitely do the free tour around the factory and the wine tasting with the menu.

Grazie per la gentilezza e disponibilità alle mie richieste, vista paradisiaca, buon rapporto qualità prezzo, ottimo vino. Location mozzafiato sulla mia terra. Abbastanza facile da raggiungere da Catania e Acireale, molte altre cose da vedere lì vicino.

Dintorni spettacolari ma vacanza segnata dalla mancanza di mestiere dei camerieri, a tratti persino inconsapevolmente comici, volendo essere ottimisti, nella loro maleducazione. Chi mangia e beve dietro il bancone, chi serve piatti al tavolo con molto poco garbo, se chiedi del pane (tavolo di nove persone) ti fanno notare che ti hanno già portato un cestino. Addetti al bar e al ristorante, probabilmente riciclati tra i lavoranti in azienda (Cantine Murgo, ottimi vini) senza alcuna empatia o cordialità. La proprietà dovrà ancora capire quanto sia importante, in una attività ricettiva, selezionare personale all’altezza della loro Tenuta.

Posizione strategica e suggestiva , con l’Etna grande protagonista ! Camera ampia e decorosa, comodo avere parecchio spazio all’aperto . Il personale dedicato alle camere molto disponibile e pronto alla battuta. Anche la cameriera che ci ha assistito durante la colazione e’ stata sempre molto solerte e precisa . Il resto del personale (tanto) che abbiamo incontrato durante il soggiorno , o che semplicemente passava a fianco al nostro tavolo non l’ho trovato particolarmente cordiale , cosa che girando in lungo ed in largo la Sicilia da tempo , mi ha lasciato davvero incredula. La persona con la quale abbiamo interloquito alla reception all’inizio , poi per chiedere giusto qualche informazione e alla fine ritrovato per saldare il conto , l’ho trovata assolutamente fuori luogo , risposte secche e approssimative e cosa secondo me più fastidiosa , MAI un sorriso o una parola cortese . Sgradevolissima sensazione che mi porterà a non ritornare dove non mi sento accolta a tutto tondo .
