Diarmaid, gave us the best welcome we have ever had in a hotel! Our bags collected from the car, a show round the resteraunt/bar areas & ages spent advising us of places to visit. He could not have been more welcoming or helpful & was like this throughout our stay. The room was stunning & spotless, with a balcony that looked out over the terrace & with sea views. Food in the resteraunt was lovely, & choice at breakfast was huge. All the staff were friendly & attentive. There are only 5 parking spaces in the car park opposite the entrance, but we managed to get one of them whenever we wanted to. The hotel is in between two parks, so a lovely setting, & easy to get down into the town/seafront. Can’t recommend this place enough, everything was great.

The Duke of Richmond is one of the very best Hotels we have ever stayed in. Everything about the Hotel, from the very helpful staff to the fabulous food in the Restaurant(s) is of extremely high quality. The Hotel room was spotless/ modern and had everything needed to make our stay very enjoyable. Certainly the only place for us to stay on future trips to Guernsey. An absolute GEM.

Lovely hotel in good location close to the centre of St Peter Port. We booked a superior king room, which was large and comfortable albeit with a slightly dated bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice, and staff were helpful and friendly. There is an outdoor pool but no gym. We used the excellent gym at Beau Séjour Leisure centre which is closer and, with daily and weekly membership options, was better value than the gym at their sister property, which we were told was £20 per person per day. We were surprised to be given an invoice on checking out for an “optional service charge” of over £30. Otherwise, we greatly enjoyed our stay and would happily visit again!

Absolutely fantastic experience...and now I know more about Gin!! Nibbles were amazing. A MUST experience for all. The host was very informative, engaging and entertaining. Thank you for such a brilliant presentation....first class. PS: member my banana infused Gin suggestion for the future 😆.

We stayed here for a week. The room was very well- equipped. The only omission was a fridge. The bed was really comfortable and room service excellent. We had a lovely view of the open park just across the road. The standard of decor and communal accommodation was very high and stylish. Now to the reception staff- so warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The concierge was very personable and the Manager was around quite a bit interacting with guests. Having a joke or giving advice about sightseeing. Really nice! The restaurant staff were outstanding too. Always smiling and very efficient. Very slick service because there are plenty on duty and well- trained. The food was first class. Great breakfast choices. Dinners also were excellent. The scallops were the best I’ve tasted. I really can’t fault this hotel! We had a great stay.

My sister and I had the pleasure of staying at the Duke of Richmond earlier this month. We were looked after, with great care, from the moment we contacted the hotel. The Resident Manager, Diarmaid McDermott, made sure that the rooms we had were exactly what we needed. They were comfortable, beautifully furnished and fully equipped. All the team were extremely welcoming and friendly. It was a joy to see them every day. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and we never felt the need to go elsewhere to eat. We were sad to leave such a warm and hospitable place. I don’t think I have ever been so well looked after in any other hoteI I have stayed in. I cannot wait to return.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It is an excellent hotel. The standard of service is outstanding and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The accomodation is of a high standard and the food in the restaurant was consistently top class. Definitely to be recommended.

We can only but recommend this 4-star hotel in St. Peter Port. The excellent service and attention to detail was outstanding. As a guest you really felt "special"and extremely well looked after. Especially Janina at the front desk and Helen (deputy manager) went the extra mile to make our stay extra memorable when they found us another, more quiet room after we mentioned that the one we had booked was quite noisy during the night (some ventilation system running the whole night which prevented us from opening a window at night). This really made or 6-night stay one to remember as this meant an upgrade to the room category we had initially booked at not extra charge. Staff at the restaurant also were very attentive and were looking after us very well. The food was excellent and we were looking forward to dinner every day. To be honest, we enjoyed it more than a dinner we had at a Miichelin Star Place on Jersey... If we decided to travel to Guernsey again we know which hotel we would book.
