"The hotel's location is quite good, right by the Songyin Stream with beautiful views. The area is also decent, fairly lively. However, our room faced west, and it was incredibly hot in May, plus there was a musty smell. The hotel facilities aren't new – which isn't a big deal. But what really ruined the experience was the stained carpet and sofa, making the whole place feel dirty. It really doesn't justify the nearly 500 RMB price tag."

"Second time staying at Meilun Hotel. The hotel's location is superb, right in the heart of Songyang County. In the evenings, the main street in front of the hotel is a food market, offering truly delicious and affordable food. It's only about a 10-minute walk to Songyang Old Street, making it a perfect first stop when heading into the mountains from Songyang. Facilities: For this price, the value for money is exceptional. The mattress, pillows, bedding, and towels were all very clean and comfortable. Service: If 5 stars is the maximum, I'd give the service 6 stars. The hotel lobby serves local Songyang specialty Dragon Boat Festival tea 24 hours a day. This tea is made during the Dragon Boat Festival but can be enjoyed year-round; it's refreshing and thirst-quenching. Bottled water is readily available at the elevator exits on every floor, making it convenient for guests to replenish their water. It's incredibly thoughtful."

"The room is very clean, the scenery outside the floor-to-ceiling window is charming, and the toilet is a smart toilet that is very comfortable, which shows that the details are in place. The housekeeper was super considerate throughout the whole process, and he immediately asked us to come out to see the rainbow after the rain. It was really beautiful. The breakfast is also delicious. If it is not enough, you can add more. I like it very much, it's a pleasant stay."

"The hotel is in central location, walking distance to the old part of town and surrounded by food options. All rooms face a busy intersection with traffic and commerce noise starting early in the morning until 10pm. Windows will block part of noise but not all. Gym is just a pair of treadmills, don't expect a workout space. Staff is very attentive and willing to help. Beds, pillows and sheets are comfortable and the shower is good. However, if you are not a smoker, I don't recommend staying here, nor in any other Ji hotel. I travel extensively and tried Ji hotels in several Chinese cities from North to South. They are consistent with service, cleanliness and bed comfort, but all of them have a major issue of not enforcing the non smoking rule, and besides that, their air conditioner system brings smokey air from different rooms directly into yours. It is a pity. Unfortunately, beautiful China is full of selfish smokers. We need better enforcement and at least air purifiers in each room."
