Hotels Near Sheshan National Forest Park in Shanghai

Amazing architecture and relaxing view. Definitely a go to 5 star hotel if you want to unwind from the bustling city. Amenities and services were complete. We were provided with a personal service staff, Camille who answered all our inquiries and personal requests. My husband and I had a wonderful time here. Although quite far from Shanghai city center, still worth the experience.

I found this hotel in order to go to Happy Valley. The lady at the front desk also upgraded the room type for free. The hotel facilities are complete, the sanitation is very clean, the environment is very high-end, and the service attitude is also very good. I recommend it!

We loved our 4-night stay (with a 6-hour extension) in this hotel. On top of a really good service, we got free breakfast, too. The breakfast is Asian style. Being Filipinos, we enjoyed it. We had the Chinese version of ”buchi,” ”lumpia,” ”chao fan,” ”siopao,” and more. We also had orange juice, soy milk, milk, coffee, and water for drinks. If you are looking for a Western style breakfast, there is KFC and Starbucks right at the Metro Station area (or subway), where you can also ride Line 9. We ate burgers bought at KFC, my mother found the burger with tomatoes delicious. They have free bottled water, provided with a kettle and tea. There is also a robot that serves as the hotel delivery boy. :-) I wish we could have a robot like that at home. :-D The people at the hotel are really great. We wish to say hello to Ms. Zhao Ming Di, who assisted us and was very helpful and resourceful. :-) They've got hot shower, with shampoo and soap provided. Towels are included, too. You can watch Hollywood movies on their TV, too. We played ”The Mummy,” ”Gladiator,” etc. We also watched a Chinese movie ”Shaolin Popey” with English subtitles. :-) If you wish to extend your stay at this hotel, you can pay 25RMB/hour for your room. If you are a nature lover, this hotel is near Sheshan Hill (Line 9 Sheshan Metro Station). In fact, the Sheshan area itself has its own tourist spots (not just the Catholic church and the space observatory. There are many others.). They are not as famous as The Bund area, of course, but you will like the Sheshan area if you have the chance and the effort to explore it. I sincerely wish we were able to explore the Sheshan area more, but we only spent a few hours and we spent all of it on the top of the Sheshan hill. If you want to buy sweets and goods to take home, this hotel is near Qibao Ancient Town (Line 9 Qibao Metro Station). There are many shops there and their prices are much lower than those in The Bund. My mother bought many things at Qibao, like candies, toys, a comb, etc. I bought a pocketwatch. They also sell Chinese traditional clothes there. There is also a high-end shopping mall right next to the Qibao Metro Station, the name is Vanke Mall, in case you wish to buy Western-brand goods and have Western-style meals. The hotel itself is also near a park, but we didn't get a chance to walk in that park. I checked it on a map, it looked huge. Maybe, next time we will. :-)

Room and bathroom are clean. Receptionists are really helpful, they do not speak English well but they use google translate. Hotel is close to shopping center around 15 minutes.

This hotel is located in an area close to Panlong Tiandi, a touristic destination. It offers various different styles of food, but during the Chinese New Year it is very clouded, some hot eateries will need to wait for very long time to get a seat or a table. The hotel is fine, the personnel and services are excellent, in term of facilities it is also in big part fulfilling my expectations except the water temperature, it is simply not hot enough, so I couldn’t have a real hot bath even though I had a family room equipped with a bathtub. In addition, my older mother couldn’t enjoy good shower also due the water isn’t warm enough. The Chinese foods at breakfast is very nice with many choices, but the western style foods are very few and the quality is not bad but mediocre, with coffee and tea are all very thin virtually no flavor. Of course, it doesn’t matter much if you are only looking for rich and good Chinese foods at breakfast while don’t mind of offerings of western style foods. The benefit to stay in this hotel is more attractive for travelers who will be use Hongqiao airport or Hongqiao Railway Station, the distance to those is about 12 to 15 minutes with car.

There are so many hotels near Shanghai Hongqiao Station that it's dazzling. I picked and chose, and finally decided to stay at the XFEEL Hotel near Hongqiao Station. Not only is the transportation here convenient, but the facilities are complete and the degree of intelligence is high, which makes me feel the warmth and comfort of home. This hotel is located on Zhuguang Road, Qingpu District, Shanghai, close to the National Convention and Exhibition Center and Hongqiao Hub. It takes only about 10 minutes to get there by short bus or taxi from Hongqiao High-speed Railway Station, which is very convenient. For friends who need to travel frequently to the city center or attend exhibitions, this is an excellent choice. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to Xujing East Subway Station. The facilities inside the hotel are also satisfactory. The room is equipped with smart curtains, lighting control systems and smart toilets, which are full of technology. After a busy schedule every day, I return to the room to enjoy the convenience brought by these smart devices and feel particularly relaxed. The hotel also offers a variety of room options. Whether it is a single business trip or a family trip, you can find a room that suits you. The hotel's service is also very thoughtful. The front desk staff is warm and friendly, and the check-in and check-out procedures are very fast. In short, this XFEEL hotel left a deep impression on me with its superior location, advanced facilities and thoughtful service. If you come to the exhibition or exhibition near the convention and exhibition center, you might consider this hotel. I believe it will add a sense of comfort and beauty to your journey.

Alas, I didn’t want to comment, so let’s remind you that there are many bugs on the first floor. There are many small bugs in the room. There are cockroaches and spiders. When the lights are turned off, they all come out. I don’t know if it’s a bite or what’s going on. The whole face and neck are all cockroaches. The hands are also swollen Take the children to live higher, this time I have no experience, there is a swimming pool in the hotel, When we came, the pool was dirty and cleaned up. We played in it for a while. It was hot when we had dinner. 😭 The next day, we hurried back to see the doctor. 😭😭 The room is still a big door. It is gray or spider webs. Health still needs to be strengthened.

The hotel is in a quiet end of the town. It was lovely to walk through the small communities on the way to the centre of the town, seeing old ladies chatting and the village life happening around you, including people's washing drying on the line. The hotel has a lovely area out the front to sit by the bridge and the river. We sat here one afternoon with some beers as the sun was setting. There is also a beautiful potted garden here of flowers and floral arrangements on the tables. There were lots of courtyards and spaces to relax. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. I would stay here again.

The room was huge with 2 beds and a long L-sofa and desk, it was very convenient for us with a lot of luggages. The bathroom was also huge with a shower area and a bathtub allowing all of us to get ready together in the bathroom. The room felt comfy and at night some guests would hang out in the bar by the lobby, but we didnt get to explore much as we arrived quite late and only stayed for 1 night. Very satisfied with the room, even after considering the price. One cons is the location that was a bit far from the center of the area and Hongqiao Station. There were no stores by the hotel and require a little bit of walking to get to shops. We took a cab when taking our luggage to/from the railway station, which was around 15 mins away. Another alternative is taking the bus (there is a bus stop right across the hotel) which can bring you to the nearest metro station（徐泾东）within 4 stops.
