The hotel has just opened, the decoration is very good, everything is new 😄, the boss's service attitude is excellent, I am very happy to stay in this hotel. The hotel is located along the route to Tiger Leaping Gorge, with convenient transportation. You will pass by when driving from Lijiang to Shangri-La. There is a place to eat downstairs in the hotel. If you stay in a mountain view room, you can see the snow-capped mountains by opening the curtains, which is very shocking. The room is equipped with a charging cabinet, and wireless charging is so cool. When I left the hotel, the boss also carefully pointed out the route. It is really a treasure hotel. I will definitely choose this hotel next time I go to Yunnan.

FFatma NabihahOut of all the hotels I stay in Yunnan this is the best by far. This is why I think the stay is great :
- the owners are very friendly and helpful, he helped me to book ebike, gave us the locations that we can go for ebike, we explore the Napa Lake via ebike and it was mesmerizing
- he picked us up and send to railway station for free
- the location is superb, around 15-20 min drive to railway station, walking distance to guishan park, and also in the ancient Dukezong city where we can stroll around at night
- a lot of halal food nearby
- the room is so nice, they have smart toilet with bidet. The shower is heavenly, the shower pressure is perfect. They also have portable O2 if you need it
- a lot of malaysians stays here and the owner was very patient talking to us with a translator
- During our stay, all of his guests were malaysian.

MMajabyMy stay in Shangri-La was truly memorable, thanks to the incredible hospitality of the hotel. Upon arriving at the train station, I couldn’t get a taxi, so I sent a quick message to the hotel via WeChat. To my surprise and relief, the staff immediately offered to come pick me up. It was a short ride, but during the drive, they shared interesting insights about the area, setting the tone for what would be a warm and personal stay.
The hotel itself felt cozy and welcoming, with two dogs and a cat adding to the homely charm. They had my room ready early, so I could check in and rest right away. The room was spacious, fully equipped, and thoughtfully prepared for the cold weather—it had a large dehumidifier and central floor heating, which made it incredibly comfortable during the chilly days.
The hotel is conveniently located near the Shika Snow Mountain, and from the property, I could catch glimpses of the snowy peaks, open grasslands, farms, and plantations. It was a peaceful and scenic spot—an ideal base for exploring the area.
What stood out most was the attentiveness of the staff. They were always just a message away, responding promptly to every request. As a first-time visitor to Shangri-La, I appreciated the wealth of local recommendations they provided—from attractions to hidden spots worth visiting.
One night, after a long day out, I asked for a simple meal in the room, and they delivered hot fried rice from the kitchen right on time. On my final morning, I had an early departure, and despite the hour, the staff woke up and personally drove me to the train station at 6:30 a.m. Their warmth and dedication left a lasting impression.
The hotel also offers traditional ******* clothing that guests can try on for photos—complete with the option to pose with a goat! Although it was too cold during my stay to enjoy the outdoor swing or take many photos outside, the setting was undeniably beautiful.
As we drove away on my last day, the view of flat grasslands with horses and cows grazing under the open sky was the perfect farewell. It was a calm, heartwarming experience—one I’ll remember fondly.

AAnon__I had an excellent stay here! The property is peaceful and beautifully maintained, with a surreal environment and animals roaming around, which added to the charm. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept.
A special mention goes to 小八. He assisted with our luggage upon arrival (very helpful as the property does not have lifts), and personally ferried us on both check-in and check-out days. Their thoughtful service made the entire experience seamless.
Another highlight was the nightly desserts, which were both delicious and a wonderful surprise. Overall, the service was top-notch, the environment tranquil, and the hospitality outstanding. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

JJaquelyn MolloyI love this little place. Each room is an individual villas / rooms with its own bathroom. Standing on its own with lots of space between each villas. It feels as if we are on our own with no one next to us but the wide open skies. The property is nestled in the nature amongst the local farmers and we got to experience a milking a cow on one of the home farmers backyard. My girls 10 & 12 thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We got to bring the milk back to the property and the staff helped us to treat the milk before serving it to us for consumption. It was a shame that we are a month too early for the mushroom picking experience (Shangri-La being on a higher altitude)
My girls roamed the ”neighbourhood” outside the property with their walkie talkies and were just playing with the neighbours / farmers chicken , cows, lambs and horses. They had a ball. Within the property itself, there are 3 dogs who will visit you at your villa or at the reception / dining area (when food is served) at all times of the day. They are so friendly and my girls thoroughly enjoyed their company. There is also a horse on the property who roams around freely.
The staff is so accommodating to our needs. The property is about 20 mins out from city centre and we can organise a driver with the property to pick us up and drop us off.
We were driven by the owner of the property on multiple occasions and always just text them about 30-1 hour in advance (depending on where we are). It was nice to have that option. sometimes it's easier to have a familiar face and because we spoke mandarin, it was also nice to be able to converse with the same person .
Breakfast was scrumptious in my opinion and we get an option of noodles or rice porridge and condiments to go with. You can request for dinner as well and they will ask you during the day etc. although wild mushroom hot pot (their speciality in the area) needs to be prepared one day in advance.
It is a very special place and as we were leaving the owner is installing new furniture to the rooms and also a new structure for an outdoor BBQ space.

VVy Anh NguyenThis is by far the best hotel I stayed at during my trip to China. The hotel is equipped with all modern amenities, especially the toilet with an automatic bidet (something that’s not found anywhere else in China). The room was incredibly cozy with modern heating facilities, and the host even provided an oxygen machine (though I didn’t actually need to use it). I truly felt that it was worth every penny for the two nights I spent here.
One of the highlights was the adorable and friendly Ragdoll cat that lives here! The hotel owner even allowed us to bring the cat into our room to play, and it was just so sweet and playful.
Moreover, the host offered us a free pick-up and drop-off service at both the train station and the airport, even though it was 7 in the morning! I honestly have no complaints about this hotel. If you want to enjoy a fantastic stay in Shangrila, book this hotel now!

GGuest UserThis hotel on the stunning Shangri-La grassland is excellent! It offers breakfast, has a laundry room, features automatic toilets, and boasts advanced facilities. The hotel is very clean, with great soundproofing and insulation, and has direct ventilation through scenic-view windows. The laundry facilities are top-notch and easy to use. The ratio of guest rooms to laundry machines is high, so there’s no waiting. Shangri-La itself is incredibly beautiful. The hotel is surrounded by the Napa Lake Grassland and snow-capped mountains.
I recommend driving up the hotel’s internet-famous road to the halfway slope for a panoramic view of Shangri-La. With wildflowers blooming everywhere, it’s absolutely breathtaking.
In previous days, I stayed in an ancient town inn. The main issue was that most rooms lacked outward-facing windows, which felt uncomfortable. Windows faced an inner courtyard, compromising privacy and making it inconvenient to open them. This is an important point to consider when choosing hotels in the ancient town, but most suffer from this problem. Also, many wooden inns have poor sound insulation—something I, as a long-term overseas resident and traveler, cannot accept. Visiting Dukezong Ancient Town takes about an hour.
The owner of *Yinxiang Tianlu* recommended a place called **Bottomless Lake**. It’s incredibly beautiful, reminiscent of Switzerland, and even prettier than Pudacuo National Park. Best of all, it’s free (no entrance fee), though you’ll need to rent a car for a one-way 2-hour drive. This hidden gem is truly fantastic.
This hotel is highly recommendable to friends!

AAnonymous UserSongtsam's choice of location, architectural design, and its ambition to create a premium hotel brand that promotes ******* culture in domestic tourist destinations are truly commendable. And indeed, the execution is generally very good. However, I believe there's still significant room for improvement when it comes to service attitude and quality.
Due to altitude sickness, my itinerary was quite uncertain this trip. I had booked a twin room for my stay from Lijiang to Shangri-La. I wasn't sure if my parents would be staying elsewhere, and their three-bedroom suites are usually easy to book. So, my backup plan was to upgrade to a three-bedroom suite if they were feeling well.
When I checked in, I asked the front desk if an upgrade was possible. Hotels of this caliber, even top luxury brands like Aman, typically offer complimentary upgrades subject to availability. Honestly, it wouldn't have mattered if I didn't get an upgrade. But knowing how to politely decline a customer is an art, and hotels of this standing should prioritize customer experience above all else. To my surprise, the staff member was arguably one of the rudest I've encountered in all my years of staying at hotels. Her direct response was: 'Songtsam does not offer complimentary upgrades; you must pay for one!' What? How dismissive can you be??
I then asked her to show me to my room. It was a rather dim room on the ground floor, close to the road, with noticeable debris on the floor that hadn't been cleaned. This made me quite upset, so I told her I needed to speak with her manager. She reluctantly left to get them.
Once the manager arrived, all my issues were resolved very pleasantly; her attitude was excellent. However, compared to other hotels, the overall service standard here truly falls short. I hope that as the hotel expands, it doesn't forget what truly matters most in hospitality!
