Shangri La Danshe Homestay (Dukezong Ancient City Branch)

This is my first time seeing a hostel charge for laundry. And even if it's chargeable, after scanning the QR code, it either asks you to buy insurance or become a member. It took me over 10 minutes to successfully pay and wash my clothes. This is the worst hostel I've ever stayed at.

The atmosphere was great, and everyone was really interesting. They provided lockers, which was convenient for storing belongings. There were lots of people, making it easy to find hiking buddies. There were also quiet spots in the common areas if you preferred to be alone. The restrooms were very clean and tidied regularly by staff.

The owner is incredibly warm and friendly, a truly vibrant and engaging person. They always greet guests with such a cheerful demeanor and are very attentive to everyone's needs, which makes you feel so comfortable. The accommodation itself is clean and cozy, making for a very relaxing stay. I originally ended up here due to some unexpected circumstances, but staying here made me feel so fortunate to have found this place. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the experience. The common areas are also spacious and comfortably furnished, perfect for relaxing, chatting, or organizing your luggage. It's truly a place where you can have a very laid-back and enjoyable stay.

The front desk staff was super enthusiastic, helping me with my luggage and explaining all the hostel's important points. They also had information on various short hiking routes in Shangri-La and tour group introductions.

The room was spotless. Staying in a hostel is all about meeting people from around the world, and the ********* owner, Kim, is incredibly warm and welcoming, making it easy to open up and connect with others.

The hotel's location is excellent and easy to find, making it very convenient for taxis. It's also very close to the ancient city. The public areas are perfect for chatting, and there's a pool table on the second floor. Getting around from the entrance is also very convenient.

The place was spotless and had a great vibe. Kim, the owner, is super warm and lovely. There's also a friendly little orange cat next door who loves to visit the hostel – definitely keep an eye out for him! 🥰🥰
