Room is nice. Truly show a ******* culture. Only the room a bit dusty. Serve a good breakfast. Feels like home

The staff was super nice. The location was perfect. The room had carpet and it was not clean, there were many hairs… the place was cosy though.

🤩Positives: View was nice. It looked over the North section of the Old City. Good location. 🤔Improvements: Front lobby: Appeared to be fully staffed by inexperienced interns. No orientation of the facilities (not even in Chinese). We were shown to our room and the staff member simply left. Staff were consistently lounging in the "tea room" and were on their phones and smoking. Staff were not knowledgable about available local tours and services. Courtyard: Dilapedated golf carts, which appeared to be once used for shuttling guests on the cobblestone roads, were left on the front courtyard. Room: Dim not enough lighting. Actual lighting was different from the photo provided. Table legs cracked and loose. Bandages on the door to cover holes. Curtain rod ends broken, rod can easily fall off Dusty window sill, above dresser. Very old fabric sofa, extremely soft. Carpet is old and did not appear to be vacuumed recently. Dirty drinking glasses provided. Smoke detector not flashing, probably not working and to appease smokers. Luggage rack strap torn. No signage to request for the room to be cleaned had to look for staff to notify them. Bathroom: Shower rack broken and moved outside. No ducting connected to the exhaust fan, thus no exhaust. Missing drain cover on bathroom floor. Sliding door is loose and does not fully close. Water pools inside the shower cubicle. Restaurant: No coffee, tea, or water on offer for the complimentary breakfast. Dark, no music, very little atmosphere. Public Area: Hallway dusty and dim. Cigarette smell in the hallways, possibly due to allowing smoking indoors. Guanshanyue 观山悦，You're welcome for the warm tips.

Traditional ******* room. Nice room

The location is within Duke ancient city within walking distance. The room provides amazing views and it comes with smart toilet bowl. The service is slight bad to me. We stayed at 3rd floor and we have to carry the huge luggage all the way up using the steeper wooden stairs in 3300m altitude. Besides, they did not know that we have booked for the days that made me so disappointed as we are told they did not expect to have guests. And the checkin process took us too long to wait. The supper is fine freshly cook by the aunt.

This was the nicest hotel during our China trip start of May 2024. The rooms are spacious, the beds have perfect matrasses, Rooms are heated and have a humidifyer as the air is very dry in Shangri-La. The exterior and interior are ******* style. The staff is super friendly and helpfull. Short walking distance from the main square and streets and 3 minutes walk from the street where to take a taxi. Very quiet at night. First choice in Shangri-la when we make it back.

Love everything about the hotel. Nice location where your driver can drop you off right in front of your hotel. This is going to be helpful especially if you bring big heavy luggage, you dont have to drag at all! The room itself is very big, air conditioned and also there is warmer on bed too! Bfast is provided and i think is pretty good! What i love the most is the japanese style toilet with bidet which is essential for Indonesian traveler like me 😁😁

Perfect location. Just at the entrance of the pedal street area, so taxi can drop you next to the guesthouse. Good breakfast included :) People are very kind.

Did not have a pleasant stay with this accommodation. Front staff was not friendly and welcoming at all, seeming reluctant to assist us with our queries. Room was not cleaned well with dust everywhere and the air con not functioning at all. Thankfully we stayed in the summer so we were not too bothered by it. The shower had a horrible design and water pooled on one side of the shower. Location of the accommodation was conveniently located at the old town but quite a distance from many key attractions. However, there are many accommodations around this area which seems a lot more clean and well maintained. Would advise to seek accommodations that have oxygen supply via air ducts into rooms due to high altitude.

The location is very convenient and the whole place looks like an old ******* inn. The employees were very friendly and helped us. The room was spacious and traditional. However the reason I won’t give it a 5 star review is because it wasn’t clean enough and the shower door was broken, resulting in a lot of water going out of the shower. I think for the price it ought to be a bit cleaner and well maintained .

This air-conditioned guesthouse in Shangri-La Old Town is amazing! It's a true Tibetan-style retreat, with charming prayer flags, thangkas, and wood accents. The room has a round bed, is clean and comfortable, and the oxygen supply is a welcome touch, so you don't have to worry about altitude sickness. The common area is perfect for sitting and relaxing, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!
