Hotels in Downtown Area, Shaoxing

The service was great, very warm and welcoming. They even gave me a bottle of water when I checked out. Since I arrived quite late, they made sure to remind me about the supper service times. The location is also excellent, right in the Xixiaolu Historic District and very close to Yangming's Former Residence.

This is one of my favorite hotels. I stayed at Shaoxing Hotel over ten years ago when I first visited Shaoxing, and it feels like it's been redesigned and renovated since then. It's now a wonderfully elegant garden hotel with top-notch aesthetics. The moment you step into the lobby, the entire decor is simply stunning, captivating you from sight to soul. The hotel's location is also excellent, right next to Fushan Park and Cangqiao Straight Street. The room facilities, breakfast, and everything else are impeccable. In the afternoon, it was incredibly pleasant to sit in the gazebo at Dai Cafe, sipping coffee and watching the rain. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Shaoxing.

The entire facility is well-equipped and new. The room is spacious and bright, and the beds are very clean. The water dispenser and bathroom facilities all work well. The bedding is soft and comfortable, the lighting is appropriate, and the internet is stable. Overall, it's clean and tidy, and the facilities are well-maintained. I had a very comfortable stay and highly recommend it to everyone!

Just a 2-minute walk to Cangqiao Old Street, this thousand-year-old street is built along the river, with smooth, worn bluestone paths, scattered white walls and dark-tiled roofs, and black-canopied boats gently gliding by. Locals still live here, creating a vibrant scene where riverside life and street food intertwine, truly a living scroll of江南 (Jiangnan) water town life. Facilities: Excellent! There's a large freezer for guests to chill desserts and fruits, and the laundry room even has drying racks, which is a thoughtful touch. Hygiene: The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and it was quiet at night. Environment: This is where you can truly experience the slow pace of life in Jiangnan. Service: The front desk lady was super friendly and her smile was infectious. The restaurant she recommended was incredibly delicious. This hotel offers amazing value for money. Highly recommend!

The hotel is conveniently located near City Plaza Station on Shaoxing Metro Line 1, and just a minute's walk from the Supply and Marketing Building bus stop. We received a free room upgrade to a room with two very comfortable 1.5-meter beds. The hotel also has a gym and laundry room on the first floor, which was super convenient. The breakfast buffet was also very satisfying. While Joy City is nearby, it was quite deserted. However, you can take a few bus stops to Intime Department Store, which was bustling. Overall, I made an excellent choice with this hotel. This was my second visit to Shaoxing, and it was super easy to get to Fushan Park, Cangqiao Old Street, Lu Xun's Former Residence, and the Former Residence of Wang Xizhi.

It was pretty good! The service was excellent. The only minor issue was that the place was a bit hard to find at first, as it's connected to a bookstore. The hostel itself has a fridge and a microwave, though the microwave takes a little longer to heat things up. Overall, it's quite convenient. The toilet is also pretty smart. I'd definitely recommend staying here, especially since it's an easy walk to Lu Xun's Former Residence and Shen Garden.

The room is quite spacious, the second floor of the independent loft, it is convenient to buy things nearby, but it is a little unfriendly for girls who play alone. I was arranged to the upper floor of the LOFT. There is a small staircase with three turns, small and narrow, which is equivalent to carrying a box upstairs. In addition, there is an ordinary door lock without an anti-theft chain. I lie on the bed at night because I am not soundproof. I can’t tell whether it is downstairs or the movement at my own door. There is a feeling of sliding the door lock. If you have other facilities, the facilities are relatively complete, the sanitation is relatively easy to find, and it is close to the subway.

Pros: This is an economy hotel. The location is its biggest highlight; it's incredibly convenient for visiting various attractions nearby, very close to Shaoxing Station and the subway. The hotel staff are very friendly. The breakfast is abundant; though it's all basic fare, there's both Chinese and Western options, and a full selection of drinks and yogurt. The rooftop outdoor dining area is very comfortable. Cons: The upgraded rooms (those ending in 10 or 11) have huge pillars inside. Guests planning to stay here should either decline the upgrade or book a higher-grade room. The 'Quiet Elegant King Room (no window)' is extremely small, so small that if the bathroom door is open, you can't walk past it. The bathroom itself is also tiny, with no separate wet and dry areas, and the shower controls are a bit peculiar, making showering inconvenient. Double Self-Service Afternoon Tea: The afternoon tea is self-serve in the lobby. There's a dried vegetable pastry (gan cai su bing) that was delicious; I even bought more from a scenic spot later to take home.

The hotel's surroundings are really nice, with beautiful views from the window. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and it's not far from various attractions, making it very convenient to get around by taxi. The breakfast offers a good variety and is quite decent. The facilities seem a bit old but are very clean, offering good value for money.
