I went to Shengsi Islands in mid-July. I stayed for three days and two nights. I lived in a very warm homestay. There was a rooftop on the fourth floor. Our group had two meals on it. The sea breeze was very strong, so it was not hot at all. Even very comfortable. There is a yard on the first floor. There are swing chairs in the yard and an open viewing area. The proprietress will watch a movie here at night. I have also seen it together. The time is very slow and very pleasant. The three of us live on the third floor, and the proprietress gave us an extra room choice. Here I especially want to praise the proprietress, especially the gentle woman.

SStephan_J_FiresWoW! What an amazing place to stay! I took my wife to the Island for her Birthday and was looking for an affordable and cute place. QingWu Fisherman's Hostel did not disappoint! The owner and his girlfriend were so kind and welcoming. He helped me find the correct Ferry station to travel to the Shengshan island and gave us tons of information and advice for living and traveling on the island. Like taking the bus instead of taxis because the taxis are very expensive. The Hostel also has a bar and restaurant area that is extremely cute and pleasant to be at. We ate Lunch and Dinner at the Hostel every day because the food was absolutely divine. My wife does not eat spicy food and the host was kind enough to alter the dishes. The room itself was an absolute pleasure to stay in. When we arrived at the room the air conditioning had already been put on and the room was nice and cool considering the soaring heat outside. We spent most mid-days in the room to escape the heat and take a nap. The evenings we spent on the deck watching the sunset and drinking beer and wine. It truly felt like home. If I go back to the island, I'll definitely stay there again. 1000% recommend.

Three children and four adults were accommodated during the family trip without feeling crowded. There were children's tents and parent-child sofas. The pick-up and drop-off service was very convenient, which improved the efficiency of the entire trip. The pick-up driver was very helpful We made an appointment to watch the sunrise at the uninhabited village and Dongya cliff. The cost was very reasonable and the scenery was beautiful. Ggeorgi_24We had the greatest time in the hotel. The owner is extremely kind and helpful. He even provided us with a better room with a sea view, with no extra charge. The weather changed abruptly on our last day and they canceled our ferry, and the owner was so kind that he helped us booking the next ship and allowed us to stay a little longer with no extra charge. The view is espectacular, and at night we could see the stars in the rooftop. The breakfast was delicious, and the room super cozy. Dawang Beach is not too far away, so it is possible to go there by taking a half hour walk. In sum, an unforgettable experience. Would surely come back!

This is what I liked:
- buying ship ticket for May holiday was mission impossible, starting with Tickets App not accepting foreign passports. Hotel helped me with arranging the tickets both ways, even after there were no tickets online (sold out in 20 min)
- they arranged a pick us up on arrival and brought us back to the pier on departure
- hotel has an excellent sea view location, very silent and sea centric rooms, same for restaurant
- everything is modern, I specifically liked ability to share Apple screens on TV in the room, great way to review photos and watch own movies in the evening
- good breakfast 8 to 9AM, you can come 8:45 and enjoy a late breakfast as well; we also had late lunch in hotel restaurant on arrival, great food, great to seat outside, flexible working hours (not closed 14-17!), actually I liked their meals more than what we had on the main beach top restaurant, finally reception can brew you a coffee though bit hot
- there is 20 min walk from the hotel for a great bay and coffee place to watch sunset, excellent experience and no need to wake up early
- hotel was always online on WeChat to address any issues or questions, including how to organize a day, fantastic services!
- hotel has own beach area, looks like good to swim, I will consider for summer, water is clean on the island, and this is just couple of hours from Shanghai
- small drawback: fishing boats pass by from early morning, this may disturb your morning sleep ;)
- other thing the bed is a bit too hard for my back, but where did you see soft beds in China?
